The concept of this TVC is primarily focused to revive little but meaningful things done in past when celebrating Eid in Maldivian communities.
The basic concept is derived from one aspect how people of Malé celebrated Eid during 70s & 80s. Those days it was very common sight that people lived in Malé use to make “Eid Mubarik” cutouts in paper boxes. The texts are in Arabic font covered with different colors of glaze paper. These boxes are lit in front of every home in Malé. Few people could afford to put a low voltage electric bulb to
illuminate the box, while others put a kerosene fueled bottle lamp called “Fulhi Bahthi”. These “Eid Mubarik” boxes indicate families
and the community at large, is celebrating Eid. Over the past few decades these kind of simple gestures and approach has lost it charm and value when people chose convenience over giving an effort to creativity. In this regard, new generations have no idea about these meaningful acts of involvement by the people. Sadly it all has lost in the history.
