Yeah and in 1944 depending the month the photo was taken but in August the city was liberated by French and Spanish Forces..

They were built to be destroy after, the Eiffel Tower too. It have to be destroyed 20 years after it construction but WW1 arrived and the tower permitted to put radio at the top so the French Government keep it. And then it became the symbol of France trought the world.
