God is donating a beautiful treble voice to a little boy temporarily only. That - at least for me - is so sadly ! Ja, er hat nun eine andere Stimme. Manchmal denke ich: Vorher die Stimme eines Engels, nun eine beinahe göttliche... Hoffentlich bekommt dem genialen und überaus sympathischen jungen Mann der Ruhm. Ich würde mich sehr über ein positives Beispiel einer inzwischen unendlich bekloppten Welt - und damit für Aksel (meinem Namensvetter) selber - freuen!!

Thank you, it was special for me to be able to do this, and It was also a very popular event in our part of town. The church could only take 400 seats because there were so many musicians and choristers, and about a 100 people didn't get in.

One to sing perhaps - a gorgeous song of Benjamin Britten's sung by my favourite non-heavy baritone, Roderick Williams (worth seeking out for other ideas). I was wondering just this week if you had any new videos of your singing, and then I stumbled on this one. I am constantly amazed at the smooth transition of your voice. Your intonation is perfect, and, regardless of what volume you sing, your tone is beautiful. I wait now for a CD with your baritone voice. Thank you for this, I am certainly thankful for having had such an easy transition! Happy to do concerts and opera performances for now, and RU-vid videos. A CD is such a big project that it’s probably better to develop my voice a bit more first.

To receive such an impressive opportunity at such a young age and still-developing voice is such an honor, and apparently speaks to your past artistic triumphs and work ethic. Really good Aksel. It sounds like a very difficult piece to me but I think you have mastered it. It is amazing how you have transformed so easily into a baritone, when so many don't progress after their voice changes. When I say transformed so easily, that is not fair. I am sure that you have put in many hours and lots of hard work. Well done

The most difficult thing was rhytm, to be in sync with everything else happening in the music. I feel lucky with my voice transition, but it has also probably helped that I have just worked steadily in the same way after my voice changed.

You sing a lot in german, don't know if you understand german in general, but you are so beautiful and have such an amazing voice... and at least you sing some of my alltime favorites. I just sang "Herr, lehre doch mich, dass ein Ende mit mir haben muss und mein Leben ein Ziel hat..." while showering in the morning. Wished could do it like you. Sorrow took all my joy away. Now rare tears are the only joy in my life und this made me cry. Sorry for my negative comment, but you are so great!

What a wonderful piece and an excellent performance of you! Looking forward to hearing you live. I will hear the piece tomorrow in Dresden with Michael Nagy as Baritone. I know him from Frankfurt Opera and he is a brilliant singer. It is just a matter of time you will sing on the same level. Considering your enormous progress it will be sooner than later. Thank you for that. Hope you enjoyed the concert in Dresden. I didn't know this requiem from before, and I am so glad I know it now. About the future, I try not to rush and take things slow. But when challenges like these come along, I just have to go for it :)

Aksel Rykkvin The concert was amazing. I was lucky enough to have a short chat with Mr. Nagy and he also said the concert was wonderful, he especially pointed out the performance of the boys choir in Dresden. Concerning the future I didn’t mean you should rush, just continue to sing 😊 Being a teenager there are many paths you can take but I would definitely prefer to listen to you in a concert than watching you playing football 😊 Of course you should do what feels right to you!

Excelente. Bellísima voz. Gracias a Dios no se ha dañado con el cambio que termina a los dieciséis años. Soy profesor de canto y ya querría tener una voz y alguien tan preparado como usted aquí en mi país Ecuador. Perdone, espero no molestarlo, pero para mí usted es un tenor. Y si es un tenor va a ser de los mejores de este mundo. Felicitaciones y más éxitos, muchos más. Bendiciones le de Dios!.

Thank you for your very kind message, and good luck with your singing students! This last month I have been able to reach slightly higher than before, so we'll see what happens with the baritone vs tenor thing :)

I was in Rome a couple of years ago on holiday, and it was one of the most interesting places I ever visited. Hope to go there some time to sing!

Estupendo trabajo técnico vocal. Como dices, es un auténtico desafío, después del cambio reciente, pero lo interpretas con gran musicalidad. Y es Brahms, nada fácil de cantar. Enhorabuena por tu esfuerzo y trabajo, rezamos para que todo te vaya bien. In english: Great vocal technical work. As you say, it's a real challenge, after the recent change, but but interpret with great musicality. And it's Brahms, nothing easy to sing. Thank you! Yes, Brahms was a tough challenge to do this early after my voice change, but I learnt a lot. Just posted an aria from Hansel and Gretel.
