Eivør frábær í síðasta þætti.
Í síðasta þætti af Kvöldstund með Eyþóri Inga mætti færeyska stórsöngkonan Eivør Pálsdóttir og fór á kostum.
Þar kom meðal annars í ljós að það hafi alltaf verið draumur Eyþórs að heyra söngkonuna taka lagið Running Up That Hill með Kate Bush.
Það gerði hún og útkoman algjörlega lygileg eins og sjá má hér að neðan.

I'm sorry but that's not really true. There have been some fantastic covers of this song, certainly more than "Very Few". I get you like this artist, that's pretty obivous, but that's just an untrue statement.

I usually avoid Kate Bush covers because they rarely do her songs justice but I thought that I'd try this because it was Eivor. Absolutely amazing. The best cover of this song that I have ever heard.

Ive been a Kate Bush fan since the early 80's...and this has always been a favourite, and despite most covers being mediocre...you should go and check out a number of the Stranger Things remixes, some are stunning.. .especially the Orchestral versions and one mix by The Cure, Pacebo and Kate...its epic!

I agree. I've always said Eivor is the love child of Enya and Kate Bush. She also recorded Kate's song Hounds of Love on her album Larva and it has a great music video. Patty Gurdy also has a great cover of Running Up That Hill BTW

I've been a Kate Bush fan for 40+ years. In all that time, I've not heard a cover of Running Up That Hill that truly did justice to the original...until now. That Eivor's live version is nearly on par with Kate's studio version is quite remarkable. What an incredible duo they would make! I hope this or another version finds its way onto a future studio album. Well done, Eivor!

This is an excellent performance! Have you heard the live "duet" version by Spleen United and The William Blakes? Of course, when it comes to music, everything is about personal taste and you might not like it, but I think that’s an amazing version as well!

Every time I hear Eivors voice my soul stops constricting and I feel that I can finally breathe again. The only conflict her voice brings me is wanting to keep her all to myself, but knowing the hearing and feeling her voice should be compulsory for everyone. (YOU all know what I mean) Her voice alone to me makes her the best human ever! Eivor for president of the world!

The thing about Eivor and her singing is that somehow she has the most amazing singing voice. There is a depth and warmth to it that few singers have. It's hard to put your finger on but when you hear it, you just know that it is special and fantastic.

That song has always been magical! Even I do my own version on acoustic guitar. When I cover songs for acoustic guitar only I have to change the parameters of the song! Some, like this one, I slow way down and change the tonality. Others I speed up and change the whole chord structure, it has to do with my capabilities and not wanting to be a bad 'cover'! So make the song yours!
