First of all, Her name is Lian, not Leane, and second, from the arguments I've heard in relation to Leene many people are leaning towards that Leene isn't Lian. After all Leene was name dropped in Nowa bio and Lian's character bio was under his and yet doesn't suffer from spelling errors. In fact there have been no mistranslation of Lian's name throughout the kickstarter, so it's most likely a safe bet that Leene is not Lian but a completely different character.

It's a different world yes. The best chance at learning more about the Suikoden world is supporting the Suikoden remaster when it comes out. The developers have said they would love to keep remastering or even possibly make a new Suikoden title if the demand is there

I'll take it you've never heard or played Suikoden. Basically Suikoden is a JRPG that happens during war stories. Yoshitaka Murayama, the writer for Eiyuden Chronicle, also wrote the stories for Suikoden. Also because it's a war story that means not all of them will be fighting in the front line. Just to name a few examples; Cassandra is the innkeeper so she's going to stay in the inn and not fight whatsoever. Cabana's the hot spring owner so he's going to stay and watch the hot springs. So there's not really going to be more than 100 party members but somewhere along the lines of 70 to 80. Still a lot, I know, but nowhere over a hundred. Now I never played Chrono Cross so I have no idea how it failed at having "bad party members" as you said. So I can't really argue how they'll handle it. For all I know the reason why Chrono Cross failed and why Suikoden was more successful in it is because Chrono Cross had an overambitious image with not the right amount of time and budget to fully develop them (IE being fully 3D compared to the 2D pixel art of Eiyuden).

@@marcineren112 We definetely need more Dwarves and Ninjas only 1 of both so far. We have 2 Samurais and 2 Elves so thats a good start. Beastmen team should be easy, we already have 4 confirmed beastmen.

Haha... Hazuki I love her. She parry a lot, on par with Belcoot, little bit below Richard. Her appearance is amazing. Unfortunately we get her near the end of the story.

They can't use runes because that's associated with the Suikoden brand. Konami owns everything about Suikoden that's why to make the most suikoden like game they can, they had to come up with new names and concepts.
