Where should I start with the series?

@@DommoDommo sukideon 1 through 5, 2 is very good. But if you want everything you need to play the first one because things can carry on to the next game then the next and so on. But you need to pay attention it you'll miss things and you will not be able to get them again unless you play the whole game again. May want to watch or pull up info on how to find them all

They're pretty good. You still level up, upgrade weapons and armor, buy items/accessories. Eating food gives you more than just HP, it also can add permanent stats to your characters. For a $15 (which this doesn't really mention) this game is very very solid. Lots of fun to play

Yes. You can carry up to 50-200 items in dungeons (depending on your sack size) but in town it's unlimited.

@@vissermatt1058 I agree it would make things easier but I don't understand people who are die hard against getting epic store exclusives. It's like the console wars and people who refuse a game because they don't support the other company are loosing out on some pretty dope experiences. My buddy wouldn't play god of war (2018?) Because they hate Sony so much.. if a good game comes out on whatever and I have accsess to it, I'm gonna play it. Although I do agree that it's annoying having to have steam,epic, blizzard. You even forget where your games are lol

The real sequel will be out later. This is just a side game/prologue of the upcoming main game. I'm not sure what stuffs on this game will be carried over to the main one though.

They didn't change it. This is a separate game. The turn based rpg is coming next year.

Because it is a companion game, like the reviewer says, it is a prequel to the main game that will release in about a year and which will be a turn based game.

Hundred Heroes is the same engine, it will look the same but with turn based battles

@@Jenema2 yes, this kinda game is more like another eden smartphone mobile game with a lots of aide story you to finish, when they come up 1st trailer / preview of the game, the battle fight looks like suikoden game, not hack n slash like this rising game, i have no problem with the graphics, it's nice and beautiful

Worst part is they likely used some of the kickstarter funding meant for Hundred Heroes to make this pointless hack n' slash that wasn't even part of the fundraiser and nobody asked for.

This is honestly a good review. I have high hopes for this game and loooooove my some Suikoden, but the statements made here seem pretty accurate without being super judgy

They gave it a 7 and it's setting at 77 on Metacritic. Why would they care that much that a game is available on Game Pass?

@Nykaitcha says the fanboy who hasn't even played the title. Generous (overly generous) was to give a 10 to a piece of crap like GT7 which is full of microtransactions and you cannot even play without internet.

just curious how old are you. reason I ask is I've just noticed younger gamers ( younger than me anyway.. I'm 35) tend to not like side scrollers as much as people my age.. perhaps because we grew up on nes and snes etc. anyway just curious

@@RattyDaddy I'm 25 n still like some side scrollers because I played Indians Jones games(the point n click ones) when i didn't have a console. Not all side scrollers are bad, I played Assassin's creed India, China n they were good, Limbo was good, Inside was good, Trek to yomi is still decent but it's hard to justify paying for these side scrollers when you can get an open world game for the same price at sale

Younger People Don't like Sidescrollers. Then again these younger gamers grew up differently when it comes to gaming unlike 80's & 90's kids.

Iam 38 and love snes and mega drive types sidescrollers and rpgs
