ये सुरेश जी जो बता रहे थे 'ये मेरा प्रेम पत्र पढ़कर' - गाने में लता जी ने जो चार लाईनें गाईं हैं, वो रफ़ी साहब के पूरे गाने को भुलवा देने वाली मधुरता से गाया है। मेरा ये मानना है कि उनको संगीत की जानकारी नहीं है। रफ़ी साहब की आवाज़ में जो रेंज और variation थी वो बाकी गायकों के लिए सपना था। रही बात आवाज़ की, तो वो ऊपर वाले से केवल और केवल रफ़ी साहब को मिली थी। मिली थी

Suresh ji must know that Rafi has sung one famous song in film Barsat "MEIN ZINDAGI MEIN HARDUM"AND secondly Rafi sang major portion of the song Romaya Vastavaya in the most befitting way in film Shri 420 where every music knowing person realised the capability of Rafi in terms of melody...grammar. ...and command over all the octaves of voice.

I like the music composed by Shanker-Jaikishan, the top notations and low notations were used in excellent way that like to hear always, the great work taken from Sarvashrimanji & honorable singars Suman Kalyanpur, Talat Mahmood, Hemantkumar, Mubark Begam etc. apart from Mukesh, Rafi, Lata & Asha
it was an exhillarating experience listening to those songs which have enthralled us for so long in their original recordings.they sound so different with incredible clarity of vocal as well as instrumental pieces.
Very good Radio zindagi nd sureshji presented musical progrrame with immortal songs of Shankar Jaikishan. Inbetween programme interesting story related to making of songs was nice to listen nd know.

This song...Yeh mera premises Patr. ...is immortal by virtue of Rafi only....Again two lines sung by Rafi when the Ashes of Rajandar kumar are consigned to Ganga can not be sung by any Singer in the world. In fact Lata ji has not been able to synchronise her voice in the song as per the requirement.
Shakeel ji, this man presenting the program, namely some Suresh, is totally biased against Rafi Sahab. He seems to have zero or very little knowledge of music.

Lata ji is on top of all female singers and I don't think that the female voice in the rehearsal of the song is of Lata ji as claimed by Mr Suresh ji.Because that female voice seems.to have been sung by some Junior Artist for the sake of rehearsal and is no comparison to Lata ji's voice.For the last 50 years nobody has heard what Suresh ji says about that song.Anyway we must regard all .

Aap gaur se suniye Lataji un char lines me bhi comfortable nahi hain. Ye unwanted/unjustified comparison phaltoo hai. ye zaroori nahi ki Lataji ko her gaana doosre singers se achchha hi gaana chahiye. Sabki apni apni visheshta aur kamiyaan hoti hain. Meri baat ke support me main ek ganna sun lijiye gaana film Junglee ka hai Ehsaan tera hoga mujhper, ye gana Lataji aur rafi saheb ne alag alag gaya hai. Khud decide kijiye kaun jyada comfortable aur kisne adhik achchha gaaya hai. So Sureshji ye maanker final verdict mat dijiye jaise aap sarvagya hain. Jitendrji aapne Rafi Sahab ke baare me jo likhte hain ke unka range Lataji se kai aage thha bilkul sahi hai kai gaanon me ye proof milta hai. Film Maya " Tasveer teri Dil me" in all the Antras Lata's voice becomes sharp and shrill ( listen to Lata where she sings 'Toofan uthayegi duniya magar') where as Rafi sahab breezes through with such ease.His range is simply superb. Rafi saahab ko suniye " Subaha na aayi Shaam na aayi" ke aakhir me jahaan wo gaate hain " Aa jaao" 'Aajao" Aajao" Aajao"
It is a bull shit that AR Rehman got more number of Filmfare awards than SJ ? For what reasons ? Could someone list out those 'evergreen' songs of Rehman which merited so many FF Awards ? I can understand LP or SDB getting as many awards. Rehman is the most hyped up MD - at least in Hindi film music. He also got Oscar for a rubbish song. He doesn't deserve all that accolades.

Lata & Rafi both are legends and equally talented. However, it is irritating to see some vested interests mentioning Rafi better than Lata and being irreplaceable. Sorry folks. Rafi was replaced by Kishore Kumar late sixties as the numero uno of singer in Hindi film music. Whereas Lata has never been displaced by any one and she stopped singing on her own due to old age. Not for nothing she has been bestowed with Bharatratna. This is not at all to run down Rafi but to put out the facts. Lata is matchless, period

BUT Premnath was Elder brother of Krishna Rajkapoor. That means Premnath was his Brother-in-law and Rajendra nath and Narender nath are also brothers of premnath. Correct this. Raj kapoor and premnath were great friends too and shared a lot of both good and bad together life long.. Prem nath also contributed a lot to build the R K studios and RK films.
