Zach said one sentence, that really stuck with me throughout the whole video: "I got you". And that is exactly it. Whatever the question or problem in understanding you might have... Once you finish a video you feel like all is crystal clear and easy. Thank you so much for that passion all of you have at the Ninja Nerd Team!
How in the world did this dude just manage to explain EKG a thousand times better in on hour than any professor at medical scool did in 2 years… thank you so much
I can't express how grateful i am for you professor murphy!! I am a year 4 med student and this is my FIRST time - my FIRSTTT time - actually understanding how the ECG actually works. 20 minutes in and I KNOW that this is the video that is going to save my ass in clinical years. Thank you so so much!! Hands down the BEST ECG video out there :) When I earn my first paycheck in the future, I will be sure to donate it to your patreon!!!
Dr. Zach, this is the best EKG lecture I have ever heard. And the best part is, it is hardly 80 min video. I tried very hard and invested so much time to learn the basics of EKG previously from various other sources but never understood it this clearly. I donno what's driving you and your team to invest so much time and energy to make all of these videos for FREE, but please keep up this good work. Thanx a lot to you and your team Dr. Zach!
You're saving my life... My cardio's exam is near n was about giving up then your vdo came out ...it was a relief man!... I would never thank you enough ❤... Thank you so much... You deserve 10M for your astonishing lectures
Hands down the best video on ecg.....nothing can top this....5thy yr mbbs student ,went thru so many sources to understand how the ecg wave looks the way it does....none explained it the way ninja nerd hass....really appreciate ur content for us medicose
Man… I was so lost in my lecture from a few hours ago and I said “It’s ok. I have Ninja Nerd.”. I sat in the library working through this video and drawing everything out, pausing periodically to work it out then check and now I’m explaining it to colleague who were having trouble with it as I was. This man really is a godsend. I’m a more visual learner but also need someone to draw and be a bit more methodical. Lectures don’t have time to do all this and simple speak out the details from PowerPoint presentations. If this dude was my lecturer, I would be breezing through the semester from the start. I continually direct colleagues to his videos as they really do help work through the concepts. Instead of memorizing, I’m understanding which is helpful for explaining and figuring out pathologies. Medicine involves understanding these scientific concepts but also being able to apply them to when something goes wrong in a patient. If you don’t understand why and what should happen when the human body does its job correctly, you won’t be able to diagnose and possibly treat cases where the human body doesn’t do its job. I also want to say that I love his energy and how he’s just as excited and nerdy about science as we are. I watched the sympathetic alpha/beta receptor video the other day and literally went “Wow the human body is cool!” when it all clicked for me. If you see this Ninja Nerd, I would like to thank you.
reading this reminded me of myself i am also kinda visual learner i imagine most of the things most of the times i just love the way he describes the things which we find difficult to imagine
Professor zach I'm one of million of students around the world who they don't have good quality education but you make it really easy for us we are very grateful 🙏 thank so much the way you explain the Ekgs it's more then wonderful I understand every single word you said instead English is not my first language but I can understand you very well I always recommend my friends about your lectures I'm they aslo enjoying study like I do ..... next week my university will open and we are going to start with cardiovascular system 🙏🙏 thank you thank so much.
I've been avoiding ECG for quite some time , infact didn't watch your previous video completely either. But now looks like the universe really wants me to study this😂
I have not yet joined my medical school due to the delayed admission process and still, I can understand each and every stuff. You are a great teacher and professor for sure. Your lectures are blessings to many. Thank you !!
A single word is unable to explain your efforts . I really appreciate your hard work , kindness , Thanku sir for making everything so easy to understand ❤️❤️❤️❤️
one of the best videos on EKGs/ECGs I've ever seen. Thank you so much.. I recommend this clip to many students, apprentices and people who want to develop their practice, thank you :)
I remember watching Ninja Nerd in first year of med school and I learned the EKG from the old version video, and I came in the practical prepared. My friend was completely weirded out like how the heck did you know this? Because yall taught your lessons more detailed than the lectures I got at Uni XD It was super nice to know things in detail because you really understand it. Thanks Ninja Nerd
This was great I loved this I’m a firefighter in paramedic school. It’s way more in depth than I need for the field but I loved it thank you very much it’s going to be make me a better fireman
I'm going to my 4th stage on med school, I was struggling with this topic for months each time I watch someone explain I feel like I miss a lot of things, no one explain the basics in the way that you did it Thank you and thanks for everyone with you.
Dude I am a med student in Brazil and I had a reverse class about ekg today, me and my group had to explain the exact same thing you explained in the video. I'm happy cause we did an explanation very similar to yours. Great class, love your videos, keep up the amazing work
Can't find a word that capable enough to describe your talent in teaching. I only wish I had found you earlier, you are an absolute pro in making hardest things into easy to understand. Forever grateful to you xxx

Amazing explanation of EKGs! You explained it in a way that makes so much sense. You're the GOAT Zach and among the greats of medical education like Dr. Sattar and Dr. Ryan!
Thank you for making it so easy to understand, you don’t even know how grateful I am that I found these videos. I’ve been struggling with this for months. I can’t thank you enough!
Hats off Prof. Dr Zack Murphy, you are just like Shawn Murphy from the Good Doctor always on point and helping others out. Thank you so much for these videos you certainly have made life easier for me and other junior doctors. Lots of respect from me you are a great teacher. You certainly have earned mine and everybody else's respect. Thank you so much Sir.
I’m a family nurse practitioner in my first year of practice and this video was incredibly helpful! Thank you for all you do. Looking forward to watching your masterclass video next
I’m finally a retired person...I NOW understand the WHY ...in lieu of merely memorizing! But I also now have knowledge of why the word Retired Was invented! Day by day, RNs, FNPs and PAs are tired and then so tired that, like me, exhausting facts and ever increasing knowledge is our quandary...because, just like the Eggs are bad for you scam, the Science was wrong, but we memorized it and taught patients the incorrect information, not knowing it HAD NEVER, never passed beyond the THEORY stage before becoming proven, “factuality “. Once one has learned and passed knowledge on, to have a patient come back and ask why you’ve lled about their favorite customary food they’ve been told they should not eat , they lose all faith in your integrity....not the real Criminal element who taught the fallacy for their Profiteering Margin...BIG Pharma! I became so tired of it all, I RETIRED! I Retired with MORE KNOWLEDGE of Political Engineering in Medicine with An Agenda that Completely discards the sciences for Profiteering...the final maneuvering coming from NonEducated Billionaires ...IE...Bill Gates, Anthony Fauci.. and their Personal Profiteering via Patent Ownership In the Corona Virus pandemic, they alone planned, and manipulated knowing they would pull the wool over 99% of the ?Global Populace ‼️ To become the owner of a Virus, alll one must do is genetically manipulate it once...PATENT IT AND ALL FUTURE STUDIES ARE THEN FUNNELED INTO THEIR OWN POCKETS ...MAKE A MANDATORY VACCINATION ...it’s profits become yours, Manipulate the Media, and the world sees you as the savior of the world! Little does the world’s population understand who is being sacrificed for the sake of the Devil’s Agenda. FOLLOW THE MONEY, ALWAYS....it taught me more than I ever thought possible. GOOD LUCK IN YOUR JOURNEY THROUGH THE MAGIC AND ENDLESS MAZE ...JUST NEVER CLOSE YOUR MIND TO THE DISEASE BEHIND OUR PROFESSION...PROFITS AND PROFITEERING. Your patients will never be treated by lies behind the “truth” they’ve been taught via media, universities and self proclaimed experts. Remember the history of Media and advertising medications that ended up killing those it w was supposedly giving Miraculous Cures to. The hypothesis of cholesterol and cardiovascular health, remains hypothetical...yet the cure is manufactured by those who paid or the studies. This was so truly pure and informative as taught by this EDUCATOR, I believe all Instructors in all Nursing Education should stop pretending they know their subjects as they pass their responsibility to TEACH onto the STUDENT to understand the Textbook explanation. 🚩TEXTBOOKS ..written by none other than .BIG Pharma. And so the Cycle Continues, unchecked...Care for your patients. God Bless ya😇⚡️‼️
This was a very helpful video, thank you! One distinction I will say is that technically (and how we were taught it at my medical school), the depolarization current is registered as a negative current going towards the positive electrode, which is what causes the upward deflection. This is because the depolarized cell becomes more positive, and thus the surrounding area becomes more negative - - which is what the ECG picks up. Please correct me if I am wrong.
it would be difficult for me to express my happiness i get after seeing your lecture! you are given this quality naturally and you share it for us for free god bless you sir!
What an incredible lecture! I've always struggled with ECG because of the physics behind it, but now I get it! Thank you so much for really focusing on explaining the "why"s, it's essential for my learning process!
Your lessons help me a lot. I wish it could be as helpful to my friends, but they don't understand English. Is there any possibility of having a translated subtitle? I'm willing to help to translate to Portuguese btw.
If you would like to fully translate this lecture into Portuguese, we would be incredibly appreciative! Please email us: rob@ninjanerd.org with a full translation/transcription of the lecture! Much appreciated!
I dunno how to Express how much I am grateful to have the opportunity to see this video .. you took learning medicine to another level... you just made it fun learning topics .. u know instead of procrastinating... it's new hoppy and entertaining.. learning medicine and enjoy watching at the same time .. I wish u could see my face when I got to a point .. I understood every word of the ECG .. in a moment I shouted ... I LOVE U MAN 😄😄😄 and now I can even teach it to others .. after learning ECG from time to time after finishing my med school before 6 years .. I think now I have absorbed this topic forever .. I am big huge Fan .. thaaaaaaaaanQ a lotttttt .. 💟💃
Hey Ninja Nerd team, Just letting you know that the videos are helpful as! I'm studying as a medic and the AUT content gets confusing (I'm a diagram learner). Keep up the awesome work. Chr
Needed refresher course for the boards and this video did it! It's straightforward, emphasizes what's really needed and/or important. Cut my schoolwork time to a minimum. Thank you so much! Please continue to help others. God bless!
Thank you so much for making the concept of ECG simple and easy to understand. Having all those illustrations really help for those of us who are visual learners. There is a big difference between being a teacher and being a competent teacher. You fall in the second category. Thanks again.
I only wish you would never stop teaching. I do not believe in learning by video-watching ( such as on RU-vid). I have always said that my brain gets trained better when I read, and learning by reading enhances your knowledge. Your videos are the only ones I watch. And I love your teaching ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey, Zach! I'm an big admirer of the way you teach & the way you're providing us with such quality content all for FREE!!! Had one request. Can you please make a playlist with all of your videos from the new EKG series. You already have one for the old ones but these are not included there. Adding the new ones to that playlist will also be very helpful. Thank You.
Iam a registrar of medicine from Sudan. This is the firt time i understand ECG like that. God plessed you. Thank you very very very very much. I wish for you best of luck🤗
Heading to my last year med xul but by the time we will be taught I will so be understanding and ahead coz am already smiling after understanding this....its been a whole lot simplified. No more getting lost in ward rounds with ECGs❤
I had an ekg done back in February 2015 because I had very high anxiety, plus i was sick. My pulse was super high, 150! High enough that i needed to have it done. Lucky the ekg came back normal, no heart issues.
hello, I just wanted to read this and think about how many futur physicians you're teaching and educating through your videos. Let it sink and now, think about the thousand of hundred lifes you're saving with your youtube account. In the name of all the futur physicians in the world : thank you.
You managed to make me understand the basics of EKG in an hour and 30 mins while my university professor couldn't do it in 8 courses... Thank you very much, Zach! Keep going, you don't imagine how many people you help ❤ And Happy New 2024!!!🥳
This is just a blessing, I kept saying "hool' up" while things started to slowly make sense in my mind and I found that quite hard with these ECGs explanations at my uni. Thank you so much, sir!
Best of the best. Explanation so clearly projected that I wanted to cry. Watching this, info entered my brain and clicked. Something that books, professor and google could not explain for the life of me.
