I'll tell you why I would remove the back plate. It makes it thicker, I only bring 4 to 5 cards with me, so no need for the plate. I would just keep the strap for cash. It looks alot cleaner without the plate.
I like the fact the cards don't fall out if you only have a few cards in there. If you look at the reviews of other brand this is an issue. It's just a shame these wallets are so expensive.

This wallet is not suitable for someone that carries a lot in their wallet. For instance, for those that keep their vehicle registration and proof of insurance in their car (for those with digital copies on their phones) and only just have a few cards.
They both are an excellent choice. I personally like how the aluminum cardholder looks and it can carry more cards, but if you won't be carrying that many cards and you plan on buying the tracker then the senate one is the one to go with.

Thinking about getting the aluminum, but really want the tracker. I have only 5 total cards to put in. Does the tracker slide around when you put it in the aluminum? Can you keep bill and the tracker in the aluminum without any issues? Also got an ID I wanna throw in the mix. Thanks!

Well you can carry 4 more in the backplate without sacrificing how much cash you can carry. I carry 5 in the casing and 2 in the backplate for a total of 7 cards and it works out for me.
I’m only able to fit 5 cards, not 6 as advertised. I have my ID in the external space, and it’s not as secure as I’d like. For the price, it’s not as great as I expected
Do you have issues with metal cards? I have two of them and 95% of my cards are not embossed. I got this wallet snd it seems with a couple good shakes the metal card have issues staying. Anyone else?
My concern is that the release button will accidentally get pressed while in my pocket or while I am taking it out of my pocket and all the cards will fall out. Have you had an issue with this?
That has not happened to me at all, the cards won't go flying out when you press the button since on the inside there is a strip of fabric that creates friction to stop the cards as they are being pushed upwards.
@@KISS_MY_CONVERSE never played that game, but yeah RFID transmits data through the air so it can be read by nearby contactless readers, so the thick layer protects that data from being captured by unwanted readers.
Secrid has been delivering this kind of wallet for atleast 5 years. And guess what? Secrids are even slimmer and cheaper. That's the only thing taking me away from Ekster.

Its a great wallet in terms of build and quality but if you carry your wallet in your back pocket then this will truly disappoint you when the tracker stops working….. the tracker needs to handle flexibility and pressure better………4 out of 10 stars…… No Cap!
Man this in 12 card version. Why the fuck doesnt it exist. I dont want any pockets or other shit. Just a case that holds cards and a button that is placed nicely that wouldnt break (happened with secrid)
The only good product from Ekster is the wallet . Stay away from any of the keychain , trackers and accessory products . The wallet tracker is junk and has no battery life. The keychain fell apart and the washers- screws went everywhere. And the battery stopped on that too within 2 months . The wallet is holding up fine and is very convenient.
Was thinking about buying an ekster wallet until they advertised on cnn ……. That’s when I new everything they say about it wasn’t true ! Go ridge wallet
this is not a fully accurate review. I just ordered this wallet and it's the worse. In order to for the cards not to fall out you need to put as many as you can. if you only have 3 cards you want to put inside this won't work. Even if you all the cards, with a quick shake all of the cards fall out. The elastic is the worse! cards move around and the more you put the tighter ...but if you reduced the quantities the elastic is not as strong anymore. I don't know why this review doesn't spend some time on the cons and real-life usage.
