A LoJack is basically a GPS tracking system built in to the vehicle. It's the same thing Hank asks Gomez to check for when he's attempting to track Jesse's car in early season two.
Personally, I don’t like El Camino very much. Sometimes less is more. The ending we got at the end of BB is much more powerful. I do however have respect for how the BB/BCS people generally don’t give a fuck about the fact that their actors aged out of these roles. No digitalde-aging bullshit, no creative filming. They just suggest you suspend your disbelief and roll with it. And we did, for the entirety of Better Call Saul, because the show is still awesome and the actors are great, no matter how much older they look.
I think Jesse would have been vastly better off getting a lawyer than what he does in this movie. To him, he was earnestly working as a DEA informant and it’s not his fault Hank got Hank and Gomez killed and it’s Hank’s fault Jesse was imprisoned and slaved. I still like the movie though. It’s not likely Jesse would reason this out. I kind of hope he talks to a lawyer in Alaska who can (literally) bring him in from the cold. Killing Kandy and his partner will make this difficult, but if it came to a head, it’s clear that Jesse engaged in a dual with Kandy and his partner, so it’s not unaliving 1. I still think Jesse has plenty to sell to the Feds that they would make a deal and almost certainly put him in witness protection.
In the finale/felina script for Breaking Bad, the scene where Jesse is laughing hysterically in the car, it states that we don't know where Jesse is going, but we hope it's a better place. So the original plan was ambiguous, but it wasn't planned for this film. Great reaction!! Keep em up
The showrunners really hit their stride with better call saul. Everything that's great about breaking bad is Even Better in that show. I can't wait for you guys to get to it. It's a slow burn but boy wants it Ransom you know how it goes...... momentum intention just keeps ratcheting and ratcheting and ratcheting
Low/dwindling viewer count for the Breaking Bad series made them decide to not jump into BCS immediately after or in the near future, but if there's a demand they might eventually do it. There was a poll on the patreon to decide what shows they watch next. Corey talked about this at the start of season 5 (5x1) in the intro. And as they said in the outro here it's TBD whether they watch it or not.
I enoyed El Camino but I can't help but feel like it was a little bit pointless. At the end of the show he's driving away with his whole life ahead of him (presumably). The same thing happens at the end of the movie. Still enjoyed it though regardless.
At the beginning of the movie, in the car, Jesse's yelling and he sounds like he has lost his mind (after all the events that happened to him during the last stretch of BB), while at the conclusion of the movie, in Alaska, Jesse smiles calmly as he seems to have found some sort of peace. There was LITERAL progression in his character's state of mind throughout the film. The writers sprinkled the path (El Camino) that Jesse took with a variety of flashback sequences that allowed us to see the people that mattered to Jesse and how they imparted wisdom to him. Some people think that those were just lame cameos, but I think that they were key in identifying who influenced Jesse in making the choices he made for himself in this movie. I don't think the movie was pointless at all. Just not super action-oriented as some expected.
@@RestlessTome I guess you're right. There's some beauty in the fact it's the same ending but with that fundamental difference you mentioned. Like I say I enjoyed it but I know there are people out there who didn't because they didn't see what you did. I think it's still a little bit of a fan service movie but if you loved breaking bad as much as I did you appreciate seeing all the actors and characters again one last time
