It's even interesting hearing when peoples' hardships can make them play something totally new or change in a new way ( I can think of three major famous players who's physical situations altered their future ... Les Paul after his car accident, Django Reinhardt after the fire damaged some fretting fingers, and Tommi Ionni after he cut off the finger-tips of a couple fingers at his last day of work in a sheet metal factory .... even reading of how Ben Woods had his electrics all stolen and all he had was an old nylon string had lead him into Flamenco guitar is an amazing story of how negative situations can lead to positive outcomes!)). As far as the nylon string guitar goes, I feel it is very neglected in certain parts of the world where the steel string acoustic is the norm (eg, North America). Sometimes I see information and photos of shops in other locations and they have all of these wonderful nylon string guitars (many "classical: and flamenco models) all over the place on the walls and I think of my local Long & McQuade in Canada and they have a tiny corner in the "acoustic room" full of stell string acoustics with maybe 6 nylon-string "classicals (no flamencos) and they are mostly lower tier! I love the sound and feel of nylon string guitars. It was my listening more and more to Flamenco that made me start playing my old La Patrie nylon string more (I had found that playing and trying to learn classical was not my thing). I have taken it up far more and my finger-work on the nylon strings has improved so much in the last few years (after many years mostly playing electric). I find that I have become attached to it as a way to improvise and really play what I'm feeling at the moment (and not classical ...but with some elements of flamenco but just finger-picking and also blues/jazz). In my opinion , I feel it is a mistake and an unfortunate problem that the nylon string guitar is stuck as being "classical guitar" .... it can do so much more!

Tienes toda la razón. Oculta su falta de técnica , limpieza e incluso oído para sacar las falsetas detrás de un tempo demasiado rápido y ensuciar y embarullar todo pretendiendo que no se vean los fallos, que los tiene a cientos.
