I've always been interested in these type of comparison videos but always feel so intimidated by other audio reviewers. I'm happy to see you doing these microphone comparisons cause I own an AT2020+ USB version which is similar to your Wave 3 in that it has an adjustable volume built in with a headphone port. I use it when making voice over for roles and narration. Of course, I never edit my audio too much either cause I almost never know what I'm doing in software. Yet, I do softpad my room to such a point that I feel as though I live in a padded cell XD. So, yeah. It's been a while since doing any work though. The pandemic has this wonderful way of seeming there may be more than enough time for voice work, yet low and behold nobody is hiring anybody at all. I'm doing my best at reappling and auditioning, but....yeah....the acting market right now is a really bad time in the USA. Sorry I went on a little tangent. Just like this microphone comparison cause it's always good for myself to learn more microphones even though the one I have is "more than good enough" I would still like to look for a microphone or program though that is amazing at blocking out almost all ambient noise that doesn't break the bank. I'll still keep looking. And thank you for the videos. Keep being your awesome self, Mr. Tech YES Man.

I got the Quadcast it’s dope! Light, colour is cool. Already comes with the accessories you may need to purchase separately with some other mics. Sounds fantastic! Good moneys worth. The elgato sounds good too, which great software and its a nice size but to me it reminds me of a old radio thing.

Dude, I have watched you for 3 years and lost interest in tech over time (because I fixed and built too many pc's in my life xD) but it's so nice to just come back and have these informative nice videos when you need them and you're so frickin sympathic. I switched from the Blue Snowball to HyperX Quadcast S.... even did a comparison on my channel. But... never going to change mics. HpyerX really puts in a lot of though into their products including headphones. I love the Elgato lights, streamdecks, etc. But for audio, HpyperX wins.

I bought a used Quadcast (Red one) in HKD$485, last year & it is very great.

As for microphones, I am perfectly fine with my neewer nw800 + some basic audio interface. This can be a killer combo for value. As for streaming, there may be some auto gain control plugin for obs, maybe that would be worth a look as well.

I knew what you were getting at I was just curious how you were going to express it. I think your viewers like the value aspect of your channel and that "speaks volumes" more than aesthetics, at least to me.

You should look at the JLB Talk microphone. It was a great value when on sale for $70.00 and is better looking compacted to the Yeti microphone.

I can understand the need for USB microphones on the market. But I personally am more interested in XLR Condensers for my audio-interface.

I use a Blue Yeti black edition and it sounds great it's very similar to those hypex mic's

I don’t understand, why all these manufacturers build condenser mics. It’s just a bad idea to use them for two reasons: first, if you leave them on all the time, the static charge in them will attract dust to the capsule, which you can’t get rid of and the mic will start to increase having a irritating noise floor. Hence, you will always have to put some kind of cloth over them when you don’t use it, or you have to unplug them or turn them off. Secondly, they are very sensitive over the whole frequency response, why they will pick up reverberation of the room. Most people don’t have acoustically treated rooms, so they will just sound like shit. If you have a suboptimal room, and use the microphone a lot, think about getting an audio interface with a cheap dynamic mic. You will have less problems with the room acoustics and you will have the flexibility to change the mic at a later point. Plus, the sound of your headphones might sound better, because of the upgrade of the sound card.

Always better to have a proper audio mixer. Using a mixer with Phantom power is far better imo. The mixer also have multiple features ready to hand like freq adjust and effects. I use the Behringer C3. For the money it is far better than all of these when paired with a good audio console (Behringer Eurorack UB100FX) The standard Shure SV100 is also a fantastic mic for the money. All depends you pays ya money, RGB on a MIC is bling and useless, Completely defunct I do like the look of the wave 1 though. But I don't use USB mics so......
