EL GUARDAESPALDAS was the musical that made me return to acting and singing. I had a small career in England and Ireland, but when the economic recession in Ireland got bad, I very reluctantly re-trained to be a teacher. I moved to Madrid to teach in a school. I did not enjoy it, but tried hard. Then suddenly my job ended. To make myself happy, I bought a ticket to the second performance of EL GUARDAESPALDAS. It was an amazing performance, and I was shocked at how happy and excited I was again, for the first time in months. I have been working to become a full-time professional actor and singer ever since. That's the power of great theatre!
