@@BigTuk No actually though the first El Tigre did have the same indecisiveness as his descendant ( to the point of going loco). In Manny’s case it’s more because his father is the town hero and the grandfather was once a great villain and with those two constantly influencing him with their ideals and stories of their accolades it makes it hard for him to decide which side he wants to be on. The fact that his great grandfather was the same way may have some influence but I think it’s more the other two that fuel his indecisiveness.
There was a lot of Irish immigration to Mexico during the US/Mexico war so a lot of Mexican people have some Irish heritage. Hell if you meet any Hispanic person with the last name Obregón they probably have Irish heritage because that name is just a reworked version of the last name O’Brien
You know Miguel O'Hara (Spider-Man) 2099 has an Irish dad and Mexican mom. Might be a coincidence but the comics had been out for a few years then so it'd be a nice Easter egg.

Anyone else find it funny how El Tigre's name is, all Spanish names, except the O'Brian part? I kept watching the show, hoping for a explanation for that ancestor! That and the comedy in the show was gold.

The creator said that he does want to bring back the show. Right now it is unknown how or when exactly he will do it since right now he is busy with his upcoming netflix series Maya And The Three. He also said that he has a lot of projects that he wants to make, so i do have a feeling that one of those projects could possibly be a el tigre revival 🤔
What's really interesting is that the creators' last names are in Manny's middle names. Gutierrez and Equihua. Also, this is one of the best animated series that was cancelled too soon. I don't know why hearing Manny's full name is funny but it is.

Right now it is unknown when or how he will do it since he is still busy with his upcoming netflix series Maya And The Three. There are even like two things that has me so curious about this possible return, like how are they gonna animate it since the Flash animating program is no longer available (Flash was the program they used to animate the original show), and second.... will it be a revival or reboot? In my opinion i really really hope it's a revival because just like you said, this series was cancelled too soon, so i do hope they return the series as a revival. But still! The fact that he really wants to bring back el tigre is just awesome!! I just really hope nickelodeon gives him the chance 😊
@@firemiracle I too hope Jorge use Flash Animation for his possible return with El Tigre since most shows that change its animation style always take me a while to get used to. Like when Shimmer and Shine was Flash Animated before changing it to CGI. And it has to be a revival since the show abruptly ended and left us with two questions. Will Manny be a hero or villain? And is Frida in love with Manny after their kiss? I wouldn't mind seeing a spin off of them in high school.

Oh my gosh! Yes!! That part got me when i first saw it as a kid. Her dad may be mean to manny and all that but he is a good father who does care about frida. Plus, her sisters were the true jerks of her family, like thru the whole ep they bully her and they try to make frida be the disappointment of the family because they don't like her and yet at the end they try to save her from the mustache mafia... like really? I was like "Girls, you hate or love your little sister?? make up your mind!" 😑
Really loved this show as a kid, I’m surprised that people don’t really talk about it like other shows from our childhoods. It was hilarious and the action was fantastic
I know right? It was honestly Nickelodeon's fault for not promoting it a lot, and everytime a new episode had to air, they would air it very early in the morning. Like the treated it so poorly all because it's nothing like spongebob. However though. The creator of the show, Jorge R Gutierrez said that he actually wants to bring back el tigre. It is still unknown how or when that can possibly happen, but i really wish him the best of luck 😊
I always enjoyed the dichotomy in this show between the Hero dad and the villain grandfather and Manny sort of in the middle to choose what he wants to be.

I love El Tigre! I remember growing up with a Spanish family, and at anytime I screwed up, the father cussed me out with family-sir names too! Suddenly I was one of the family!

Always loved this show growing up cuz manny just reminded me of anakin in a sense; tip toeing the line of good and evil, using his powers for personal gain every now n then instead of always for the benefit of goodness
I know everyone's favorite is the one of Pantera pointing at the entire Rivera bloodline, but my favorite is actually the one at the end with Pantera drowning and getting bonked in the head with Frida's life preserver, super comedic.
I mean this is the most authentic ethnic (Mexican) show ever because of every time something happens, Pantera has to say 12 of Manny's ancestors' names
