“From eternity to eternity, you are Goddess. The spirit of all flesh will glorify and exalt your memory. Liberates and rescues, redeems and saves. Aside from you we have no Queen but you.”
About this song: The words are adapted from the prayer “The soul of all living shall bless your name” that concludes the first part of the morning prayers of the Sabbath and holidays. In this song, the people at prayer turn to the Goddess with words of praise and accept upon themselves Her queenship. The Goddess is experienced by the praying community as eternal, redeeming, saving, responsive and merciful.
About Toratah: Toratah is a rewriting of the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) through characters of reversed genders. Matriarchal lineages hold complex leadership positions, and are in direct relationship with Tehovah Elohin. Patriarchs nurture their daughters and are active in the domestic sphere. Toratah and Torato (traditional Torah) together become a "Torah Shlema" a fuller Torah, exploring dynamic and emerging understandings of divinity and new gender-expansive narratives.
