Super easy install, took seriously less than 20 minutes and gives plenty of headroom once tuned. sxthelement.co... 📱 Social Media / pattyboiofficial #hyundai #elantraN #tuning
So many comments about this, Will wanted a stock looking engine bay. We filmed a video on a rear vent install last night and I made him bring it up so you'll see that on Sunday hahaha
I'm just a girl who has never worked on a car in her life. I believe once, a long time ago I even put oil in transmission fluid by mistake. I would never be able to install parts on my Elantra N without videos like this. I am getting ready to do the motor mount, a high-pressure fuel pump, and some HKS spark plugs before I install my Lap 3 ECU tune. Thank you for walking us through this. I feel like I can do it. It will feel so rewarding to gap Dodge Chargers and Mustangs and watch angry incels get road rage and lose their shit for falling to a girl in a fwd four-cylinder Hyundai.
these videos are super simplified informative and entertaining. Unique build that is actually have constant small work done to it which is probably what alot of people wanna do nowadays with a 2nd car. I know personally i would want a elantra N, cant get enough of these videos
I was just thinking about this earlier. Most people don't want to do full builds anymore. They just want to buy a capable car from the factory and incrementally tweak it to zero in on your exact preference. It is a much better approach because you get to really measure each change vs. going all out can end up being a pile of super expensive parts leading to an unbalanced car.
Absolutely the best DIY videos on the internet for the Elantra N. I love you guys, and I'm enjoying watching the build progress. You've inspired my SXTH intake and turbo inlet, with more mods to come! Thank you!
@@rezdrip2529 I actually add an ounce of dirt to my fuel tank at every fill up, can you tell me why I can only fill my tank a gallon or two before it’s filled?
I literally came to this video after seeing a TikTok talking about how you have to drain your fuel tank and open that up to change the pump. I was like oh God I need to see how bad it is before I decide to go down that route on my N, and holy shit it's easy
Oh yeah, doing the HPFP is nice. As far as I know the low pressure pump is fine for the power levels people are making. So no need to tear up the back seats and get covered in gas etc.
@@pattyboi from this series I’ve been noticing with the Elantra they really made it do it yourself friendly for a lot of the stuff and I love that. You guys keep up the great work!!
just picked up an Elantra N all black last week with 10k miles, smoked out the lights over the weekend, gonna remove the badges and look into the 6th stage 1 tune next
@@fatman1288 I don't think tinting the headlights on a black car comes close to ruining the car, everything can be reversed in 20 minutes and it actually looks really clean and understated, regardless we all have our own opinions ....thanks for sharing your positivity and support about my new purchase that I was excited about and wanted to share
Dude idk how the hell you took the low pressure lock off without any tools. I cant even get mine to budge with a pry tool. The grey lock compresses all the way back all the way around but the line just will not come off. I gave up after like 20 minutes lol. I'll give it another try tomorrow, but I couldn't get the actual fuel line to budge at all! You have god strength hands!
@@johnathanli4960 I got it off, but I bent the little metal clip inside of the tube that locks it. Luckily, I was able to bend it back enough to get it to go back on so no harm no foul. Definitely not as easy as theirs was though lol
Great video! I do have a question if you don’t mind. I have the dct version. I’m aiming for 450whp. Would this HPFP be able to handle that. Because I can’t find any other HPFP for the EN orher then this one. Great vid as always
That's funny because I've been seeing these things hit 360 wheel with nothing done to them... however wn upgraded mechanical pump would he a smart idea so people can run full e85 on stock turbo
Don’t change out your pump especially the HPFP! Increase the pressure behind your HPFP by replacing the intank LPFP for a higher volume and pressure fuel pump. Make sure you remove the tiny fuel filter inside the low pressure inlet of the HPFP then your set. The 1mm increase in piston diameter of the part# 35320-2GTAO HPFP won’t yield much difference. But by doing the other mods I mentioned will support up to 500-525hp with other mods like a ECU tune, down pipe and larger or stock modding of the compressor wheel for a larger one along with compressor housing mod. If you want more it’s gonna cost way more and be much more complicated.
Do you happen to know if there are any aftermarket lightweight flywheels? Use to driving cars with anywhere to 7lbs-14lbs. Don’t mind the shifts in the Elantra N just feel like I could use a slightly quicker clutch release and match revs properly.
I had done this swap and had a similar pump rattle noise that y'all had after the swap. It progressed to several hard starts and, ultimately, a CEL. Have you had any issues with the startup since the swap out?
Im curious do they have a part number on them? How can you tell them apart? I got a VN used and it had some mods already. Intercooler and intake for all i could see. I dont wanna but a pump and it already have the upgrade lmao
My car is making some weird squeaking sound when I first turn on the ignition, then a small squeak every few seconds when cold with the engine on. I’m wondering if this OEM part is causing those squeaks. Doesn’t sound like a belt because it happens when the ignition is on but engine off. Only have a BOV and intake for mods.
gotta be careful with this bolt.. I did the same replacement and after a month later one of the 10 mil. bolt broke in two peaces caused by too much torque.
Good question lolol. Like I assume the cost difference is enough to justify the existence in having two parts, but man it seems like it would be really similar.
The elantra N is x100 easier to work on compare to my old mazdaspeed3. Replacing pcv valve and hpfp is like a breez compare to removing almost half in the engine bay just replacing the hpfp internals and removing the intake manifold just to replace the pcv valve and installing a catchcan lmfaoo
Am I too particular ? Do the Hyundai's seem to have a slight orange peel in the paint from the factory? I have a 2023 Kona N that I swear has it, as did a few other cars on the lot? am I crazy? lol
Will took it off because he wants a more stock looking engine bay. SXTH is developing some sort of "lite" intake that uses the stock intake but has a larger inlet.
Of course! When pulling off lines if there's fuel in the system then it'll spray all over the place once they're yanked off. Just helps be a bit more tidy!
i’m a hyundai tech and you broke two golden rules. always change out the hardline whenever removing any part of it and to never reuse the two 10mm bolts
