Elara Needs Surgery and I Need Your Help 

I know I've said it like 20 times but we really miss your videos, the ferret community on RU-vid is on a massive standstill right now, the modern ferret doesn't upload, dook souls doesn't upload, emzotic doesn't post about her ferrets anymore, 1 tail 4 ferrets doesn't upload anymore and now neither do you. I always did think you where a really underappreciated youtuber. Your videos vary between the best advise on the platform to fun wacky witty videos about ferret enrichment and making things for your ferrets. The day you and all the other ferret youtubers come back (if you or they ever do) no matter the quality of the video, that day will be a joyous day for the ferret community.

Your videos meant so much to me Kenya, I hope where ever you are that your doing okay, and that your happy :^). Just know you've left a mark on my life, not just for my ferrets but your personality bringing joy when I was upset. Love you

I just wanted to say a big thank you and I'm so sorry for your loss. We very suddenly and unexpectedly found ourselves in possession of our first ferret two weeks ago and although I'd done a great deal of research previously, a lot of it was out of date and had been replaced with new information. Your videos have been a huge help during our quarantining and initial settling in period and we feel a lot more comfortable with the idea of taking on a second ferret and handling the introduction process once he's recovered from neutering. So, thank you, we're very grateful. I hope you and the ferrets doing okay and will return to give us all an update.

I am so so sorry. I hate how riddled with issues our furry little snakes are prone to. It's so not fair. Our Kreacher (who is no longer with us), besides having Adrenal and Insulinoma, was riddled with tumors: a leg tumor that returned twice after removing, which resulted in a leg amputation, and an ear tumor that was removed. When he was just under 8 years old, he developed multiple tumors in his abdomen, but he wasn't a candidate for surgery due to age and other issues. I really hope you are able to raise all the money for her so you don't have to be in such debt!

You're doing great and doing what you need to do for your babies, it's incredible and strong of you to do! Thank you for being you!

Me and my mum have been up to our necks in vet bills since December (our pets are insured so we don’t have to pay all of it, but it’s still been costly.) I’ve sent what I can spare at the moment because the thought of not having been able to remove the tumour from my dog terrifies me (she had it removed over a month ago) so I want to help you get Elara’s removed soon.

Hey, I’m 14 years old, I really want a ferret! I have seen and been told that if you want a ferret, you should get 2. So if I would get a ferret, I would definitely get 2! I have a couple questions though. Question 1 - Do you have to raw feed ferrets, is there any like food you can buy for them at pet stores? Question 2 - so I live in a house that all the rooms are occupied, and my room has carpets, where should I put the ferrets? Question 3 - any other tips for someone who has never owned anything close to ferrets would be very welcomed, and how expensive are they usually?

I've noticed that ferrets that come from marshals have a rate of getting cancer and no its not funny and they do it to increase their sales, even sadder is that no mater where they come from, they still need to be loved no matter what. Hugs for her and you.

So sorry to hear this, I would help out, but my little girl Marcie just passed away from Lymphoma of the G.I. tract; From diagnosis to when she passed away was a week. There was no time to try chemo or anything. I lost her so fast, and her sister Bitsy is now fighting depression from her loss. I'm doing everything to help her through it, she's eating and drinking, and I'm doing everything I can to keep her upbeat and occupied and happy while she adjusts to the loss of her best friend. I'm still in mourning myself, but I try very hard not to get sad around my little girl. I also have a mountain of vet bills from all the recent tests, medicine, treatments and final expenses. To lose her to Lymphoma so soon has broken my heart (I adopted my girls about eight months ago), and I need to do everything in my power to keep her surviving sister happy and healthy. I was ready to pull money from my home's equity to pay for the chemotherapy, but she passed on before I could help her. I hope Elara gets the surgery she needs, and that the tumor doesn't come back. After nearly 40 years of ferret ownership, I've come to know many of the health problems all ferrets face. I'll be praying for your little one's health. Stay strong.

It's been 6 months since I last commented. I'm getting my very own ferrets soon but it still doesn't feel quite... Right... With you gone. I still check your channel for any new uploads and re-watch your old videos. I hope you are doing well.

Its ok honey, 3 out of my four ferrets have insulinoma and adrenal. They have being doing fantastic on their pred for the past two years. They all have the implant to which they are also doing fantastic with. Im so sorry. These cancers our little babies get are so unfair, but it is manageable. There are FB groups I'm apart of that others share their experiences on how to care for ferrets with these diseases. Im so sorry I cannot donate because I have sick ferrets of my own. Praying for your babies successful and quick recovery! Ferret mamas!

How are you holding up I heard how it turned out. Sadly my first ferret had the same thing but she did live though but suddenly started screaming the worst sound in the world and I held her till she passed her organs ruptured and slowly killed her. Sadly was 3am my mom was a vet but didn't have anything to put her down so she was in pain till the end I wish she passed before that but I'm glad she was not alone

I am so sorry for you...I am happy she can have surgery...Our wonderful and awesome "Popeye" had to be put to sleep just yesterday due to cancer...I wish we had been given an option, but he was older and the cancer spread like wildfire... He was the Best ferret... We got him, along with 3 other beautiful ferrets from a rescue... We didn't intend to get 4 at one time, but Popeye suckered me..he gave me ferret kisses as soon as I picked him up...he had just been dropped off only 48 hrs prior by a young girl who could no longer take care of him... He only had 1 eye...not sure why...but he was the best! Soooo he came home with us too... He was so strong, even in the end...We probably should have let him go last week, but I was emotionally selfish and wanted more time...unfortunately it only was 3 days but he and I spent it together at night when the rest of the house was asleep...He is now gone in body but will always be in our memories...

Im sorry but i was looking some advice if you're willing are have come across this before. I have 2 ferrets 1 male (chemically castrated) and intact jill who came into season around a month ago and i got the jill jab to bring her out of season but ever since she will not leave the male alone constantly climbing on his back and washing the back of his neck. At the beginning i just put it down to some remaining hormones bit its been around a month now and she is still the same the male doesn't get a moments peace before she is climbing all over him would you know anyone who has come across this before ? And what do you suggest I do?
