I have insertional and distal triceps tendinopathy and have restriction and pain around the olecranon upon elbow flexion at greater than 90 degrees. Is it safe to actively and/or passively mobilise this joint beyond 90 degrees of elbow flexion without making the insertional triceps tendinopathy worse via compression? Thank you for any reply.
@@sammcconkey8768 longitudinal tension sounds like a stretch tbh. and if youre triceps is still sensitive, you dont wanna stretch too far. how has it been doing since?
Thank you for your informative video. I started physical therapy two weeks ago but the sessions are extremely painful. I cry and beg him to stop. I scream every time he bends my elbow and my question is: is this level of pain normal. Today I stopped mid-session because I couldn't bear the pain anymore.
That doesn't sound right. Discomfort is okay but what you describe sounds more like torture than effective therapy. If you want to consider a second opinion, we recommend you get in touch with our colleagues at yourphysio.online for a remote consultation
@@rdsjourney7357 Run if the therapist is aggressive with his movements, i was like you the therapist bend my elbow by force and extend it by force and i was crying and screaming because of the pain after that he causes me algodystrophy, my elbow becomes more stiff than before and i have inflammation
@@meryemlefrouh936 Yes. Actually the post traumatic elbow often just needs strengthening and control work. Joint mobilisations are fine but inducing pain with stretch has a potentially negative effect on restrictions much like in the freezing stage of a frozen shoulder.
Hello sir,my child 7 year old has elbow fracture..post fracture extension of hand is completely done but flexion is not proper..so how much time required for elbow flexion .now it's 2 months after post surgery.
