Things will happen that will have him question his beliefs about the church he serves and what he’s been taught about himself. Ultimately it’s a story of self discovery and forging your own path to redemption rather than following vague words and promises of men… It takes place in a lovercraft / Bloodborneish type world But thanks! I’m considering making it into a comic, I think it would be better with what I’m going for. But we’ll see… I’m several chapters in and I’m having fun with it.

It seems every being that lives long enough in a dying state turns gray. The soldiers of the lords have gray skin, and have been alive since the shattering. The nomadic merchants are all gray, but the sealed ones have a normal skin tone. All the commoners are pale gray/white. Natural death doesnt happen, only slain death, so those who are supposed to be dying yet dont eventually lose the color in their skin. I assume the old, and now rotting away Radahn had the same happen to him.

Considering the fact it was Holy-infused fire (from the looks of the color in the trailer and that it's similar to the Elden Beast breath attack) he was probably trying to use the influence of Gold (the Greater Will) to try and retain his Will (which is a trait Gold is associated with and something Rot is said to decay). Dude is hardcore.

Considering how the beta showed soft was still trying to write the game before launch it was most likely an idea that just never got developed.

@@EvolvedDinosaur people used the dialogue from Iji where he says that Blaidd is Ranni's Shadow that would go mad if she went against the Two Fingers. Some speculate that the reason Blaidd didn't go nuts sooner are likely because 1) she cast off her Empyrean flesh which is what would affect Blaidd (no Empyeran flesh, no reaction from shadow) 2) Ranni's Brigade was long hidden from the Two Fingers and the Greater Will as implied by Iji's Mirror Helm so once they were found is when Blaidd actually began to lose his sensibilities until he encounters the Tarnished then losing them entirely until his dying breath. However, I agree with Tomp that the Shadow you fight isn't Blaidd because of the headgear behind Seluvis's Tower (Black Wolf Mask; could also imply Seluvis has something to do with the Shadows since he also wanted to try and control Ranni with Amber Starlight Draught), because Ranni's dialogue after defeating the Baleful Shadows says to tell Iji and Blaidd that she loves them (which is significant because Ranni is the epitome of Cold in all senses of the word and because you just fought a Shadow that couldn't be Blaidd if she still says this), and because Blaidd himself doesn't go crazy until AFTER Ranni leaves to slay her Two Fingers. Or maybe he went crazy AFTER Rani's Two Fingers were slain and that's how Ranni's Brigade was found. Finally, Ranni and Blaidd were both aware of their relationship and how Shadows guard their Empyrean. Ranni herself states that Blaidd is "a failure on part of the Two Fingers" because he quite literally didn't carry out the single most important reason for his creation: to kill Ranni if she went against the Two Fingers. And we all know they are all fully aware that Ranni and the Two Fingers have been cursing each other since the night of the assassination so the fact Blaidd didn't behave as the Greater Will and Two Fingers anticipated speaks immensely to Blaidd's character as well as Ranni who inspired such loyalty. Whether or not the loyalty is genuine and not Miquella-esque (ie. the Bewitching Branch stating Miquella knows how to "compel such affection") is debatable. The only reason I consider this notion is because the expansion image likely connected Miquella to Ranni through Torrent. Also, because Miquella's Needle was able to subdue a once-accepted Frenzied Flame it makes me think he would know how to interfere with the Greater Will's and the Two Fingers' methods of communication. Miquella was able to create a Golden Order Fundamentalist incantation (Rings of Light) that manipulates light, the language of the Two Fingers. But anyways, I'm veering of that lore cliff we're all always walking by 🤣

I'd say that situation might be what's going on with Blaaid since he was able to some what fight the influence of the Greater Will on his mind so the Greater Will had to send other assassins who disguised themselves as Blaaid not that that's how Shadows work

@@EvolvedDinosaur to add to my previous comment, knowing that Miquella can manipulate light and the fact his Needle works in Placidusax's arena makes me wonder if Miquella perhaps managed to create a signal jammer for both Placidusax and the Two Fingers seeing as he indirectly knows how to use things they are associated with (Placidusax"s arena beyond time for Needle and Two Fingers language of light). Just thought of that but I might be a bit crazy 😂

@@DanielGarcia-rx3kt I thought when the description said (loosely quoted) “it’s unfinished and so it can only work in the heart of the storm, which is in Farum Azula” Now, this tells me that the final component is meant to be the “true storm” that is this phenomenon that happens in the lands between. It USED to be in Stormveil, but seemingly left after the Shattering and/or where Godrick took over? Anyway, I imagined it was a resource like any other that Miquella could use, but now it’s way out in Farum Azula. But I could also be way off base too lmao

Well the video even suggests that the Finger Slayer blade is made from the corpse of Godwyn. Maybe it’s a Sacred Relic Dagger. This ties your theory together pretty nicely. I personally thought the finger slayer was made from the half wheel wound on Rannis corpse but now I’m considering that maybe it is Godwyn.

by flayed, do you mean his skin was cut after he died? I'm not understanding everything properly, do you mean they threw his skin under stormveil, and buried his body in deeproot? Or that the eyes were taken out from the body in deeproot, before it turned into what it looks like now?

Another interesting connection is the Black Knives are modeled after Melina’s Blade of Calling which also has an almost shotel like design similar to the Godskin Peelers. We know she’s associated with the GEQ just because of the Gloam Eye and she becomes much more pale in the FOF ending. So many connections but difficult to make something cohesive out of all of it

I don't think that's the case though. Radahn's rune started burning to protect him from the scarlet rot, so after he was corrupted by it. Before she bloomed, Malenia didn't use scarlet rot

I always thought it was very strange how she introduced herself as Renna and only later retracted that, and (from my understanding of the lore) doesn't make sense that the snow witch would have a rise if she wasn't well known by Rennala. Ranni being a sort of siamese twin would've actually been really interesting, and I'm kinda sad that it was cut, as I much prefer her two headed design

About Renna's rise it actually intresting that when Iji talks about Ranni's depature, he says that she depatured "from Renna's Rise, as she calls it". Why the hell he even adds these last words, this sounds so strange, especially considering how close Iji was with Ranni since her childhood and if this rise really belonged to snow witch who was Ranni's mentor and was Renna, why is Ranni the only one who calls this rise like that?

Its definitely an interesting thing the Godwyn under stormveil somewhat resembling the knife, but it reads "This blood-drenched fetish is proof of the high treason committed by the Eternal City and symbolizes its downfall." the timeline just doesnt line up for a freshly forged blade

Considering the money says that the rocks are scales and several weapons are monster hunter style body parts stuck together it doesn’t seam to be that uncommon to just use body parts to make weapons.

Marked as friendly_npc then. Places like the Manor and Roundtable npc's are tagged as none so even if you make it so you can attack them, there will be no damage. Friendly_npc's are able to be hurt because FromSoft doesn't care if you cut a quest short. They get changed to enemy_npc after a certain damage threshold is reached. Dunno why Selen doesn't attack back tho considering Graven Masses do have attacks.
