Fun fact. Close to where you find the boulder spells there is a magic staff which is powerfull AF. In one of the ruins there are 4 little potplants spewing their crap at you. Kill them and take the staff.

@@ertren6 If you leave the basement where you get the boulder spell, turn right. It is a ruin a stone through a way in a tower. The staff scales with intelligence and synergize with the boulder spell as well. Kill the little plants inside and you will see a hole in the wall. Grab the staff at the wall.
Magic glintstone is probably my favorite bread and butter spell. It's also a beast for beating enemies that dodge a lot. Since they will dodge when you cast the rune, they will NOT dodge when the blade finally fires at them. This allows you to safely set up to 4 runes before focusing on avoiding attacks while your delayed damaged starts
Tip: You don't have to speak to the mage lady with the mask on to activate those scrolls to get the spells. You can give it to a few people. The turtle shown in the video at the church of vows is one of them. If you've found this turtle and haven't found her, you can go to him and give him the scrolls for the exact same spells. I find it better because he's not behind a boss, closer to a grace point and he's legit a talking turtle with a pope hat. He doesn't have an attitude problem either👍
You get them as soon as the game starts. Talk to Melina and then head over towards the church of Elleh. There you’ll meet Ranni who gives you the wolves
@@FelisImpurrator it only rlly struggles when theres rocks and stuff in the way or against fast enemies, but the damage buff with the meteorite staff makes it rlly good
I have all these spells, glintstone pebble is still being spammed because the damage output of other spells just makes you feel good. For the most part they're not honestly better given their FP cost. Some have marginal damage increases at best for immense cost while some don't even do as much. It gets worse when you start calculating the actual damage per FP. Carian slicer is the only one I use and if the enemy is strong vs raw magic I'll use rock sling. Rock sling needs to hit all 3 to become on par damage per fp wise to the pebble, unless enemy weak to gravity
I like using Great Glintstone Shard, its damage is good for the cost. I used this in place of pebble for a long while, until I got stronger spells and pebble/Great both got off my bar.
So true, it's sad that most lame looking one (Glintstone pebble) is the best one :/ Also by the time it takes to charge the magic bow and hit somebody to deal 400 dmg, you can already do 600-800 dmg with carian slicer (while costing less FP) :P
I've been trying for several hours to get to the boss who's going to hand me the bow.. but I can't get to that point. I can get into the water below, but there is no way up there, around the water I arrive at a castle and I can't go any further. I wonder which routes you take? around the water? clockwise or counterclockwise?
DUDE THANK YOU!!! I just started and trying to build a solid Astrologer early, only had minimal Dark Souls experience lol. So far only spell I've picked up today was the rock sling spell paired with the Meteorite Staff, was finally able to beat Mad Tongue Alberich 🤣🤣🤣. I'm a noob I know lol
As a guy that doesn't really like using magic in souls games I feel slightly ripped off in elden ring, I swear every second good item i find is for a magic user it's crazy
Im playing through with magic and i feel the opposite at the start. if you DONT go hunt these things down early then you're pebble spamming for 20 hours

Here’s an update to this guide: For the rock blaster and the gravity spell, the crystal caves have had the centipede sorcs added to them, the ones with that annoying homing spell. Simply running through won’t cut it anymore.
After watching your video I went straight over there to fight that lady on the horse to get that large bow. It took me like 5 or 6 times before I beat her.
i feel that Eternal Darkness should be added to this, as it has a high INT cost and can summon a blackhole to vacuum up any offensive spells coming your way, allowing an easier time to get off some of the more tricky/time consuming spells when fighting other mages.. downfall to this spell, it doesnt do any DMG and i assume thats why it didnt make this list..however a great DEF can be an amazing OFF
I love melee fights. But then I got in sorcery. Mages have been getting over. 😄…Fights are so much easier. I am hooked on magic now. So now I have a Enchanted Knight build. Now I have the best of both arts. Now this game is so much fun. Now I have to find out how to memorize more spells.
As long you have legit reason for casting spell on someone you should do it without fear and also with the right spell caster like *Dr Ikenga* his spell has no negative affect
Thanks , picked a prisoner build so I could be dex melee and have spells for range (ultimately gonna make a spell blade build). After the first like 8 sites of grace wit just a spell pebble I was starting to not have fun
During the rock throwing spell location guide, on two different characters btw, after you transported by the trap chest, the shack you appear in has a powerful enemy on top of it that has extreme melee and ranged spell capabilities. I'm level with 656 heath and decent armor and I can't get past it except once where it shot me from a long range just as I was taking a potion
Astrologer here, just find yourself a good med armor set. I tried sticking to robes and would get one shot by literally everything. A skeleton fart could take me out. After 50 in game hours I said fuck it and ditched the robes. Their fun to wear when I’m not in super high steak areas
One sword you should get the lazuli glintstone sword. It fires a glintstone pebble but it does some rather high damage and then if ur on console it would be left trigger then press right trigger to do a powerful thrust. What I do is I put the staff in the left hand then the lazuli glintstone sword in the right hand that way you can still cast spells and also use the glintstone swords ability if an enemy gets close. Plus the lazuli glintstone sword is better than the carian sword.
At the swamp were you find the rock sling there's a meteorite wand by the little castle. It is by the rock sling I don't know how to explain were it is it's a church broken down it's looks like that.

QUESTION: I'm a magic/sorcerer main..... but I accidentally killed the teacher lady. I know that the Academy is coming up and I've met Tohp, can I still use the scrolls on either him or someone at the Academy?
@@whiteoscreen2383 don’t do that! you can “atone” for your NPC violence at the Church of Vows. Just look up absolution in Elden Ring and you’ll see how!
Then there's Loretta's Mastery 😅 Which is much worth than the regular single Shot , for 50 FP you could Cast 4 Great Magic Arrows at the Cost of just 1 for 32 FP... But thats abit late in the game... The Rock Sling imo is very good even later on , with how efficient it is plus the Stagger and good tracking ( Just dont Cast Rock Sling in Melee Range as it will Miss ). The Rock Blaster is also good , but for Close Melee i prefer having Carian Piercer and Gavel of Haima which deals insane damage and you could Follow-up for even a Kill to most enemies.... I do wanna say tho the normal Glintstone Pebble , Swift Pebble and the Great one those 3 are all pretty similar in damage , so Grabbing Swift Glintstone Shard is much better and more Mana Efficient for Mage Builds for the quick shots specialy on Horse its insane... But for really High INT Comet is pretty nice too later on.

Is a faith and intelligence build good? Well mainly an intelligence build as an astrologer. The only reason why I’m building up my faith is to wield the sword of night and flame
Am I the only one who found seller in witchbane before unlocking her and tried freeing her by attacking(she attacked back) and then eventually killed her in self defense and then now she’s unavailable to them for the rest of the game??????!!!
Magic spells are great in this game. I regret going for a faith build, not only because spells but because I found only two weapons that scale with faith and one ash, meanwhile there are a lot of weapons and ashes that scale with int.
Winged scythe, sword of night and flame, eclipse shotel (I believe, not home to look), cipher pata all scale with faith and have some pretty neat effects, faith also determines the damage of dragon incantations which may or may not be useful as I'm not stated for them.
Faith is great too. The faith dex weapons are cooler than the int dex ones imo. I went int dex but want to try dex faith in my next playthrough. (or even maybe int faith)
@@dificulttocure I'm int/faith, it's fun but it has some flaws. The biggest is that it is attribute heavy, with faith dex you can just put points into faith for scaling faith/dex weapons and still use faith abilities effectively, however with spells and incantations you need to level both intelligence and faith somewhat equally to have a viable offense using either of the two. It can get pretty grindy, expect build completion to be something like 150-200 levels.
Yeah I was about to say the same thing as this guy under me you don't have to be godric first. I had Loretta's great bow and all those other spells up into that point of the video when I beat him. That great bow is actually how I beat him LOL
Exactly. If you are in godric's Castle there's a spot of Grace where you can drop down a few floors and rogier is in a little room that looks like a mini Church
for the rock blaster spell, when i get to the chest to get the spell i open the chest and it just has a “read message” rock on it and not the spell inside
What would be the best ranged spell to use if you want a gunslinger type build? I’m tryna find a really cost efficient spell that I can spam for gunslinger build
What I don't understand about this game is that it seems all the good stuff are on the north side of the map and a bit from the east but the south seems to have nothing worth while.
It all depends on what your build is tbh. I used the Lordsworn's Greatsword all the way until I picked up the Greatsword in Caelid and that is one of the first chests you find on the intended route. Grafted Greatsword is also in the South and is one of the best colossal swords.
