12:19 I like how you just kept getting stunned and instead of showing the laser beam of doom you just left it. As it can never be used in a practical setting lol
Unless of course they use a grab skill on an enemy that can't be grabbed. Or very few of the abilities charged or combo'd when they're able to be. Or without an upgraded sacred seal to give a decent idea of how much damage they'd actually do on a build. Or missing hp to see how much a spell will heal. But yeah other than that, very superior!
I wish Scarlet Aeonia did something more substantial. Its cost is simply too great, long animation, easily interruptible, takes up 3 slots. Now if it did something like temporarily boost stats and resistances or apply a temporary effect where your attacks heal you, it would be much better. It could have even been a thing where the flower stays there for a while and anything that interacts with it gets damaged and is infected with Scarlet Rot, pair that Radahn's Greatsword and draw people into the flower, it would be amazing, AND broken.
Would have been nice if you made sure to use clips where you get to actually complete the incantations. 12:20 Placidusax's Ruin didn't turn out well because you kept getting interrupted
The attack windup isn't even as bad as it looks here, it's just that Placidusax's ruin should be casted _closer_ to the enemy, as the initial shockwave knocks back most enemies allowing you to actually hit with the rest of the cast. I got it yesterday and the knockback even works on some higher tier enemies like Blackflame Monks and Lesser Wormfaces.
Fun fact about crucible aspect: Horn. It can be charged to travel greater distance and also has ability to stagger even the heaviest of enemies. (With exception of those fat armored fire monks) thanks to that you can ledge someone like crucible knight or standard knight.
Sadly yes, despite being one of the most interesting mechanics. Also I rly hope they fix that frenzy grab incantation, it's hitbox is shit and landing it is almost impossible.
The flame of frenzy is very good in pve use the frenzied flame seal for boosted damage flock canvas talisman godfrey icon and charge up the spell the bigger the enemy the more it hits for big damage
Thanks for a video where they're actually used against enemies, it really helps sort of judge the force behind a lot of these or the aiming vectors. However, if I could request something else be covered: Most of these you're supposed to try to hold the button to charge them or chaincast them to use their full potential. The quick version is more for finishing someone off or taking advantage of smaller opportunities. Perhaps another video is in order to show the effects of charging or chaining those? (Also some of them you straight up missed with, like Elden Stars. The bigger, slower bolt is the real spell, the little bolts are just to stagger or disorient.)
It's nice to see some of them used on enemies but the random order is offputting. Also it would have been best to find an enemy that uses a player-model to showcase Inescapable Frenzy properly. Or put in the effort to do a decent take of Placidusax's Fury or Elden Stars. Or actually showed how enemies react to Darkness and Shadow Bait.
if you’re so bloody particular than you fucking do it, this guy clearly put in time and work putting this together and it’s not good enough for you than maybe you should try to make one
@@garthalmunemuralias9101 Obviously there was work put into it. I just think there were a lot of strange decisions or shortcomings that doesn’t make this helpful as a “full showcase” is all. It wasn’t meant to be a brutal put down, just some criticism about how I feel about it. And truly I’ve been wanting to make my own showcase, but I’m playing the game at my own pace and don’t yet own every incantation so it’ll have to wait.
While I appreciate the showcase, there was SO MUCH of these spells being sold as if they were dogshit. Most of the frenzy spells are only good in pvp, a lot of the dragon spells suck ass on shielded and/or single mobs, most of the fire spells can be charged to hit multiple enemies, and you're only using the dragon communion talisman. This would be a great video if you showed where the spells were, but there isn't enough information in the video to use.
I'm kind of shocked at how worthless some of those spells are. That sounds bad, but it's more me wondering if that's really how some are intended to work. Some of them didn't do much at all, if anything. Way to easy to get knocked out of, and poor damage for the restrictions imposed.
Nope. He's showing the spells in pretty bad scenarios really. Many can be cast multiple times in a row or charged for additional effects. Some spells can be cast in mid air to completely avoid all attacks and wreak havoc. Incantations are great in this game, and I'm thankful for this guy showing them off. But they are far better than he makes them look
If you struggle with enemies that use shield a lot but arent that much agressive like early game knights, using surge o flame can easly stunlock them and block their guard for easy parry.
Holding many of these spells is half of their usefulness, sometimes more. You didn't show any of the spells being charged or repeated, which makes many of them look like garbage when they aren't. You didn't showcase placidusax's ruin at all, you got stunned, gave up, and decided that was good enough. Completely random order for each spell. Attempting a player grab on a normal enemy, which obviously doesn't work. Showcasing several fire spells in the rain. There are so many things wrong with this video, things you could've easily fixed. Why did you publish something this incomplete?
Great video, thanks for all the work that has been made in order to produce this. I believe there is an improvement that could be made for greater "scientific use": use the spells against the same enemy, preferably a medium poise one like a shielded soldier. This way the viewer can compare damage and have a decent understanding of the poise breaking effect of the spells.
Bloodboon seems nice and strong when you see mogh use it. But rly it's only useful at close range and against stationary enemies, otherwise it does little dmg and stacks little bleeding. We should have an option to co ceratę the blood stream in one place just like mogh did.
This is right is why I don't understand some people's refusal of using these. "Oh your not playing the game right." I don't even have the game but I would definitely use some of those if I did.
His characters scaling is weird at that high of a level going of his status bar he should be doing anywhere from 7-900 damage sometimes in the 2k range especially with that dragon communion seal
They're for PvP. Useless is a strong word for spells designed almost entirely around fighting other players. The debuff applied causes HP and FP loss along with around 2 seconds of stunlock. "Useless" he says.
So freaking depressing we have all these cool huge spells that can get cancelled by a single swing of a sword or arrow. They need to bring back cast poise for faith spells.
I’m sorry but the faith spells are soooo much more fun to use than normal sorceries. I can’t wait to get new game plus so I can farm up to level 300 and wreck the bosses with my battle mage ganondorf build.
well, most incantations are visually impressive, but most are weak or inefficient in practice, except for a few, high consumption, long animations, easy to interrupt, they need improvement in these aspects to be efficient, for example , flame of the fell god, it is super slow, it consumes a lot, it has almost no range and the damage is sad, so on several more, I hope they improve them in the future.
Flame of the fell god does like 2k damage for me which I think is a lot, it does kinda move slowly tho it’s better to shoot it when they’re close to you or they’ll most likely dodge it and you’ll only do like 300 damage, faith is at 45
@@selfmadefailure4568 that's what I'm doing but it doesn't heal you so I'm using that talisman that give you health on successive attacks its not the same but its close
So i heard the black blade incantations provides poise during the incantation, is this true? If so does anyone know other incantations that have poise through the cast?
