@TomClarke1995 those don't decrease health, they decrease absorption stats, only Primal Glintstone blade decreases max hp, and even on an Astrologer with no points into Vigor you still have 336 hp. I have to wonder how he even has capable of getting down to 318 hp
My friend was a Soulslike virgin going trough his first playthrough when he asked me for help with his build. He showed me a picture of what he was using at level 52: He rocked a magic infused uchigatana and his main damage stats were 26 strenght and 22 dex, with just 9 intelligence. The point is, that was one wacky build and even he had 30 points into vigor at that point.
@sayounsang which is totally fair. He ended up finding the moonveil and respeccing into a true magical samurai. Finished the game at level 127. Said it was the best game he ever played. Went out and bought Sekiro, finished it. And has now bought the entire Dark Souls trilorgy and started DS3. Said he'll be playing them in reverse order so the jump between games is less janky.
I would love to see 1 video of chase being a blue. I can imagine how stressful it'll be to watch a host run to their death, while he's trying to save them.
It’s the spawns. Blues need a teleport finger. Most hosts don’t have the vigor to survive long enough to be saved, or… It’s a gank. Good way to get rune arcs though.
Wizards mentioned at least 18 times: 02:06 Where is the Wizard, i'm drawn to your Wizard 02:15 Ahahaha! Wizard assassination 02:21 Wizards go down first 10:07 The Radahn Wizard 10:25 Alright Wizards 10:28 There's two Wizards for the price of one 10:35 That is the end of one Wizard 11:03 One's a Wizard 11:10 Lets eat some counter-Wizardry here 11:12 So we have two Wizards? 11:38 Alright Mr. Wizard 12:00 Alright Mr. Wizard 14:45 Wizard!? Wizard you have like, 0 HP 14:54 What amount of health did that Wizard have 16:59 I expect Wizardry 17:11 Alright Mr. Wizard Since I started counting there were 2859.2 mentionings of Wizards across 243 videos. Bonus: 05:21 09:08 16:40
Dude... watching your invasions is SO cathartic! I can't tell you how many times I've come home from work, and sat down to dinner with a Chase invasion video!!! I'm even more hype for the post-DLC stuff! Thanks for deciding to take the leap, and publish this as something you take seriously/also have fun with.
[12:01] the lowest amount of vigor you can start with is 9 as the astrologer which gives you 396 HP. They're a caster so I'm assuming they're using the "Primal Glinstone Blade" talisman which reduces spell FP cost while also reducing your HP by 15%, that would put them at 336 HP. In conclusion, I have absolutely no idea how their vigor is that low.
Suncrusher requests a certain weapon for over a year, nada. Gemerency8468 asks chase to use more scythe, and he almost immediately does it. True winner energy
2:14 -- is there any being in this world more screwed than a fat rolling wizard, with not enough vigor, Chased by an invader who specifically hates wizards?
Chase loves wizards, they’re the most fun targets to hunt and especially to isolate so that they no longer have a phantom to keep them safe while they spam magic
This video reminded me just how far this games pvp has come; Being able to reliably backstab-punish so frequently; It wasn't that long ago, where back stab was something nobody used, because it was so pointless.
Interested in seeing a build utilizing the one-eyed shield and/or the visage shield, since I rarely see you using greatshields and their unique skills are a lot of fun.
Scythe backstabs are so awesome, they didn't have them in the previous souls games. One of the reasons im going in with a flame art Grave Scythe in the DLC. Also, the vulgur militia, (enemy in the forbidden lands clip) has the red blackflame effect (similar to the Black Gargoyles that serve Maliketh)
16:38 Shit like that is why I love this game, bitter rivalry and murdering strangers for fun, then showing compassion and giving gifts on the flip of a switch by your enemies.
How is this possible. Chase, you’re LITERALLY USING EXACTLY THE BUILD that I created for my DLC prep playthrough. Straight Bloodflame Grave scythe, and Blackflame Blade for the Elden Beast.
318 is 80% of base health (assuming astrologer.) Without a burger king mask, my bet is -15% from primal glintstone blade talisman and -5% from goth hugs.
Having a lot of fun lately on a 54/50 (etr/dex) build with a 2handed Omen Cleaver (or Dismounter). Blood infused with spinning slash aow. 655 ar on Omen Cleaver with 101 blood buildup, really shreds. Especially the spinning slash combo
Hey Chase, I enjoy your videos! I was wondering if you were ever planning on doing another only level through PVP series to prepare for the DLC. Obviously only if you enjoy it but I would definitely watch it.
i respect leaving that guy scarlet rot bolesus is just maidenfull behavior. You have influenced how i pvp immensely, it feels better to be a good dude and know you've won that punish someone who already lost.
@@RemingtonSteelYou can give the weapon to someone else, and reload save. After the other person gives it back, and now you have two of the same weapon. But more likely than not someone would just drop to you, and reload their save. Someone still has to farm, but they only farmed once probably over a year ago. This is also why Chase has tons of rot boluses. Someone dropped it to him.
2:13 "Wizard assassination" Chase having a good old field day. 4:05 How did Chase avoid lightning damage? 5:23 Amazing double kill, even if by accident. 8:55 Face your destiny as it was foretold. 10:30 Two wizards bite the dust. Chase is a happy man. 12:12 Ascension to Heaven. 14:43 318HP? What devious sorcery is this? 16:37 Chase showing he's not a cold heart killer. 17:18 Chase playing mind games with the host.
Been loving Grave Scythes. Blackflame tornado on one hand and a cold(int)/bleed(arc) on the other, with something like Sword Dance just rips through everything.
The Scythe is really good because of the charged R2, the combo into Loretta's is incredible not to mention Loretta's on its own is a solid roll catch plus the overall moveset feels really nice. Powerstance Scythe's are pretty okay as well
Those boluses are tons more valuable than chicken nuggets. People that don't know how do dupe run out of them super fast. It's more like Chase dropped him rare life saving pills. The plants from the crafting material for those can only be picked up once. There are some rare drops from certain rare enemies, but those players are not going to know about that.
I hope the DLC brings something that Reapers can take advantage of, something with a nice true combo or maybe one of the 8 new weapon classes is a lighter Reaper class with a cool moveset. One can hope :p
12:00 TL;DR: wizard was lvl 75, never leveled hp and had two accesories reducing max hp. The wizard dropped 8382 runes, which means he was level 75. ( 8382 is around 1/4th of 33,584 runes, which is the price of level 75). Lowest hp for starting class is 396 for astrologer at vigor level 9. This wizard not only had to never level his vigor but he also had to have Primal Glintstone Blade and Baldachin's Blessing to reduce his hp below the original value (396 hp * 0.85 * 0.15 = 319.77 ~ 318) edit: 14:45 wizard probably had vigor level 12 with no debuffs
Gotta say bloodflame scythe was some of the most fun I had in invasions. It combos so well with itself and feels great to use. Even made a build with several scythes with different AoWs, and it was great. Although the most fun AoW for me was also one of the worst, which is spinning strikes. It's not very good for pvp or pve, but for some reason, it's bugged with bloodflame and causes way more blood buildup that it should. Enough to bleed someone multiple times in just a few seconds. Made for very silly invasions and I loved it.
16:42 moment is everything PVP is about. We don't enjoy destroying your gaming session. We want to give you a challenge. Invaders were Coops once (and most of them still are). We like helping to improve!
Hi Chase. Any chance of a parry showcase? I am trying to learn dagger parries and feel you could offer some great insight. Keep it up, love the content.
Honestly I’ve never preferred scythes that much at all, but I’ll definitely give them a try now in the arenas👍🏽 They’re movesets never felt like anything to crazy to me.
i made a Sister Friede build with 2 scythes (one frost, one keen so i can add effects like blood flame). Hoarfrost stomp and spinning slash + a dagger with golden vow and wearing Fia's set for the looks (closest set to Friede's clothes)
Chase, your invasion videos are legendary, can you make an invasion build centred around black flame blade? The short buff time can be a challenge so I'm interested to see how you can make it viable
I didn't know the uplifting aromatic buffs enemy mobs in invasions. I guess they can be considered allies. I wonder if it would work on the draconic tree sentinel in leyedell
You should do a another crit build with the noble slender sword this time, since it has 110 crit and the great dex scaling. People might mistake it for a regular sword and board making the 1700 crits all the more surprising and satisfying
Tried to do a scythe run recently and found the hitboxes to be too inconsistent - too many times I whiffed while swinging for a guy stood right next to me...
