Elden Ring Cinematic Trailer | Game Awards 2021 

I don't think there's a lot of point in showing more Elden Ring gameplay at this point, since a handful of players actually already played the game.

Maybe the lore wasn't fully ready when the Network Test released.

@@cosmic2750the lore is full finished even when they are not started with the game. Called a story writer who do the script for the lore before the work on the game is started.

The lore is always the same. The lore is telling us what happened and where we exist right now, its just been given new names, a new layer of paint, for there is no tomorrow, no today, its the never ending story with nothing new under the sun.

curious what is the main reason that makes you so excited for Elden Ring the most? The world? the pvp? what is it? to me it looks like open world dark souls 3, but after beating it I don't know if I would find much interest in playing it again. Personally, I'm not into the whole pvp thing within these games, especially the way from softs invasion system is set up.

@@MrYoyoflat it is because the blades contain magic the same magic the queen of rot used but on a grander scale it doesn't make the fight unfair unless someone else joins the fights it was a duel both fought the way they should be using their own abilities is not cheating.

Actually it's a good thing that they give vaati early access. He really has a lot of skills in terms of understanding lore. He's the only souls analyzer that I personally trust.

@L idk man I disagree with you "same games and small tweaks". I don't see how you could compare Dark Souls to Sekiro to Bloodborne. Of course they have similarities but I'd argue it's the smaller things that just work but the gameplay was so insanely different, same with the lore. I'd say the lore had even less similarities.

@@sammidul4080 No really, the only time I was captivated by the story was in DS1. They're not really trying anymore. It used to be a somewhat fresh take on fantasy, at least in video games, and now they're going the vanilla route.

@@aniketjadhav6220 Yeah, now you can "rotate" out of any stab, basically this made them impossible in new pvp. Don't get me wrong I like most of the new mechanics. But this needs some work (like a mixture between DS3 and the current solution)

Is probably the intro cutscene, because so far they have always shown us the intro cutscene before their games released. DS2, DS3, Bloodborne...all. So its only natural to hope it'd be the same this time too.

What if you stop creating non existing connections and realize that Dark Souls is dead franchise which was forced on for three parts and this is true game that From Software tried to create all this years.

Bro, I've been saying ever since the first trailer years ago that this was a prequel game. Between this and the "gywn theme chime", I'd be unbelievably thrilled to be proven right on this idea.

not me unfortunately, combat is too slow, the horse thing turret is cool but it does not seem designed to fight on it, the lore is everywhere but story is nowhere, I just killed things everywhere but found no reason or interest on the experience, I need to continue and finish it but for example I played Wo Long and devour it, with this one it feels like homework, cool scenarios tho.

Get an Xbox X. If it's just for performance, that thing is far better. Loads faster, 330gigs more space, 3 Teraflops more on its graphics card, and faster strikes on the CPU. Better in literally every way.

@@kevinbeck8836 you got me wrong LOL just try and think what BOTW offered and what the souls series as a whole offered their is no comparison at all .Zelda with 120 shrine 4 dungeons 900 korok seed scattered all over the map 73 side mission all of them is different , on BOTW every castle ruins are different among each other so players don't feel repetitive etc. souls games I watched my brother playing ds3 was doing the same thing over and over again without any clever design! (get gud) isn't enough respond LOL

You coulda been right. They call it the lands between (other worlds?) and all the seemingly regular people like the player, called tarnished, were cast out of it to live fight and die in other worlds sometime in the past. And we know by a couple characters that those worlds are not all the same.

The lore was written by George R. R. Martin, a fantasy author, so it makes sense that it feels like a fantasy story.

@@Noplayster13 the game has been in development for a couple of years now. We had nothing else than an enigmatic trailer, and the fact that George RR Martin was working on the project. I personally invested a lot of time, and platinumed all the FromSoftware soulsborne-kiro games. I love these games so much. So I am really excited to play this game and that's the reason why I am so hyped about it.
