In a sense, it's not too far off. It takes rhythm and practice to get a song right. And perfecting a boss fight in a Souls game, well... that should speak for itself.
The finger rush, the triple laser, the MEGA laser are all middle fingers toward anyone who wants to fight melee. On top of that they think she needs adds. FFS from.... what are you thinking.
@@bruhder5854she has some attacks that are just not dodgeable if you're in certain positions(her beyblade move, crab-running fingers move, etc.), and her black hole too that is only dodgeable using the ash of war "Raptors of the Mist". I personally hoep FromSoft will avoid undodgeable moves in their mext games, it's just plain unfair
@@geordiejones5618 id recommend quoppp if u guys like the typa content ongbal does. i always steal a couple moves for myself from both these guys to help me😂😂
@@jkubed95 now they can feel our frustrations whenever we're just gonna engage for a jump attacks and they have their own countermeasures upon it. serves them right.
I always appreciate that ongbal not only no-hits all the bosses, but also does it in a fashionable, epic and distinct way. I actually find more interesting the different tools he uses and the punish windows he finds than the fact that he does it without being hit. It really shows the variety and complexity of ER’s combat system!
@@AlphaOmega-jh6ll she's the only boss that I don't enjoy fighting on repeat playthroughs. The fact that you need to do a super lengthy questline to get to her doesn't help. Though I do love her bloodborne esque design. Her lore and OST are really cool too
@@goober-ws3eg I do agree with the presentation part, but then again, most bosses in ER have god tier presentation. I wouldn't mind fighting her if she wasn't so out of the way. Like, if I'm gonna spend and hour or two just getting to the boss, it better be an S tier fight like Midra or Malenia. That said, she is still a really cool boss, and it kinda speaks volumes about the quality of this dlc's bosses that even the "worst" major boss has their fair share of fans. Even the mini bosses are bangers. I really enjoyed fighting the death knights, Onze, the red bears and black knight bosses (fuck jori though)
I couldn’t agree more with you two, especially love that the second phase has the first ever recorded sound of a black hole, that and the lack of chants in the background gives perfectly the message of an astral being that has lost contact with its god
Raptor of the Mist also works against Metyr's bullshit laser beam... and fun fact: jumps actually has more i-frames than roll, and Raptor of the Mist is basically a Bloodhound Step in a jumping form so it actually guarantees 100% i-frames than Bloodhound Step.
Impressive fights as always, but to be honest what amazes me the most (and what I envy a little) about you is the speed with which you manage to make content of the highest level. This is what in my opinion makes you on another level compared to us "mere mortals". Keep it up Ongbal, you're simply the best 👑
For those who don’t know the up arrow next to NG+7 in the title means he’s also on dlc+, a hidden mechanic that makes the dlc harder after beating it for the first time, a one time permanent increase that stacks on NG+
16:28 Damn. This is the most stylish FS player ever. I guess now we know why Carian Knights, even though they were fewer than twenty, were able to hold off the Champions of Gold.
LilAggy's been stuck on Metyr in his level 1, 0 scadu, club only run. Her attacks really do suck in terms of strictly trying to either low level or no hit.
This was awesome to see, watching your battles never gets old. A few moments stand out to me, especially: 2:40 The fact that you use Rotten Butterflies specifically because you know it's just fast enough to not be punished tickles me pink (HA!) 3:15 How you know that you can use Wing Stance's heavy to essentially Goomba stomp Messmer during that lunge. 9:21 The usage of Flame of the Fell God, knowing Spinning Gravity Thrust would leave Gaius immobile within the blast zone is very clever. 10:40 The usage of rolling sparks during the charges to deal high damage and scorch that overgrown sunflower even quicker than normal. 11:43 The oh so deserved cheese against Metyr using Rancor shot. 18:43 The sheer audacity to use Bayle's own lightning against him to dodge his own lightning. 20:13 The brilliant usage of the Red Bear Claw's heavy to go under Radahn's slashes.
Ongbal is amazing at all the souls games he touches. I hope for more amazing content like this, just hoping you don’t go insane from the amount of attempts.
Absolutely amazing up close fight. The way he dodged those attacks, jumping over attacks and strafing, how he used so many ashes of war for punishes. It's like watching anime. That's why I love Ongbal, while other no hit players beat boss normally and in repetitive/ugly way, Ongbal styles on bosses. Especially on Metyr. Very good example of high skill and creativity
What is that weapon and AoW, if you don't mind? Looks very cool Edit: Found it after some searching - its called "Euporia" - somehow I had missed this weapon
@@QuanNguyen-bk4pn Yeah especially you can see that in Metyr boss fight execution, absolutely high skill of game knowledge and execution. The way he jumped those attacks at 11:50. Unbelievable
@@Vengeance_I_m I know right. This has to be the most satisfying Metyr fight I've seen yet. Granted I enjoy her a little so seeing how perfectly he fought her just puts into perspective how terrible I am at this game. Gg would watch again
@@xCactus-Jack_ not really, if you're talking about the spinning laser you just run to her left flank at the edge of the aoe, the laser always goes further out at the side. If you're in a bad position for that you can also just run further back for the first pass then go to the edge of the aoe for the second pass.
@@Ron_Jambo_ The explanation Is correct in every detail, It Just isnt actually dodgeable in your First attempt. But seeing that ongbal studies bosses he could have done It. Maybe before being so aggressive towards people you should First answer in a more reasonable way. The only One that should close his sewer ass mouth here Is you i think
@@xCactus-Jack_ Are we talking about that huge lasers attack which rotates? I always dodge that attack by being as close as I can to Metyr. Maybe Metyr was aiming for my Mimic but I don't know.
What makes Ongbal awesome is that he's not just dodging and getting good weapon hits, but that he also squeezes some spells in there too to make things more interesting
Nice one Ongbal!! Man, I think they should have made the feather talisman effect for backstepp a default mechanic instead of locking it behind a talisman. It makes the gameplay fresh and fun.
You never cease to amaze me! Every video you make brings a smile to my face and encourages me to try new weapons and abilities. Also what is your favorite weapon from the DLC?
A bunch of these fights were pretty amazing simply as demonstrations of how backsteps can now be viable, whereas before this DLC they'd not seen much use. The only exception I saw was the so-called "reverse backstep" used to quickly hop towards or past an opponent, mainly in PvP.
I think what separates Ongbal from a lot of the other no hit players I watch, is his dedication to just being the predator playing with his food. It's the best.
Just saw this, absolute flawless PvE. Every second feels like carefully calculated. Congratulation !!!! Thanks for sharing. I also want to know how many tries it took for you do this entirely. I suck at PvE and I am always curious about trial and error.
I haven't finished the video yet but hitting a boss with charged Messmers assault would be super impressive. I think so because I believe the skill was made for numbers rather than a boss.
This really is the pinnacle of the ongbal philosophy, taking what amounts to insurmountable odds for other people and making said odds look like a cakewalk while looking stylish too
sometimes I wonder if we're even playing the same game. The creativity with the fights is just so amazing, I don't even know if the devs can do this shit.
