Spirit Ash also buffs Torrent, which is necessary since some bosses can just completely mess him up.

So another fun easy to get weapon you can simply purchase that uses AC is the poison perfume bottles that Merchant Thiollier sell for next to no runes. Also the curse blade weapons they drop are considered back hand blades (plus the helm they drop gives 5 dex).
