@@codyderr1364 I use these like the Farron Greatsword from DS3, the low recovery on its attacks allows you to pair it with heavy weapons so easily.

Lmao Fr they’re quite underwhelming in PvE due to bosses having such erratic movement and weird hit boxes make it hard to hit with the sometimes wonky attacks of the claws. What I found best was to use infusions or greases that helped put in certain scenarios. I use full str build with rot grease to poison enemy w poisoned hand in the offhand for extra dmg. Then I swap to bleed grease for more build up or elemental greases depending on what the enemy is weak to. I also like to keep a cold infused savage claws beast claw for quick frostbite application. This along with utilizing the JR2 for heavy dmg and poise breaks, aswell as the crouch attack for a quick 1-2 uppercut, makes this weapon a lot more fun to use. I also liked pairing it with a sword or halberd of your choice for extra range. I loved using it along side the milady as they both utilize the rotten winged sword insignia very well and both have great crouch and jump attacks. For talis I’d use the claw and rotten winged sword insignia, along side the crouch attack tali and godskin swaddling cloth. If you want more tankiness, you can swap the crouch attack tali for dragoncrest great shield. Make sure to always pop a boiled crab and well pickled turtle before a fight to have good defense and stamina regen, I also like to pop bestial vitality for a lil extra survivability, and the golden vow consumable for max dmg and defense buff. Bloodflame blade is an honorable mention as it synergizes well w the build, it’s more PvP orientated but it can work extremely well. The buff does take a few seconds so you usually only get one in a boss fight unless you find a long opening, which is why I prefer heavy + greases

The dlc introduced some stupidly spammable aow's but usually spamming L2 will just get you killed

id take a guess at this being complete garbage at a shield poke build with something like sword lance and moore's shield. there is definetly meta counters to this
