Thank you for this great series. Watched every single episode from the beginning. Took a while but was worth it. Rare to see someone who is so interested about the lore and is ready to use time and effort to think more deeply about the story and characters. Also you arent too serious about playing optimally and are playing just for fun like we all should. You seem to be genuine and not "streamer acting" and thats refreshing. Would love to see other first playthroughs of other soul games, but dont think you have them stored anywhere?
So far the only 'first playthrough' that isn't up is Dark Souls 2, and that's older than this, but I'm still toying with the idea of putting it up! I adore that game. DS1 is here, demon's souls remake is here, and the other games I'd played closer to release before I streamed, so there isn't a 'first' play available. But Bloodborne dlc and Dark Souls 3 dlc were new to me. Point is, I'm not sure what's next
Thank you so much for all the work you put into this. I never watch streamers but this playthrough has been an exception and I've loved every episode. I hope more of your stuff makes it to RU-vid.
Wow 104 episodes full of lore, fun and excitement ❤ What a ride! Thank you for the effort, must have been a ton of work. Looking forward to the DLC! Cheers
Never comment on RU-vid but just wanted to say thank you so much for this journey with your first experience of the game ! This last year watching these uploads on release has been such a comfy experience and something I always looked forward to, and seeing someone else’s journey through the game and your passion for the story truly made me so grateful I found your content ! Thank you wraff so much for all your effort and can’t wait for dlc streams/ content too. Forever a wraff stan ❤
Not putting a jumping dodging section in the tutorial was the worst mistake fromsoft made with this game. 90 percent of the playerbase just try to roll every aoe lol
They put a tutorial about guard counters and crafting, yet people pretty much refuse to use them The bigger problem imo is a lot of players being unable to not play the game like it's Dark Souls
Sekiro introduces that and my GOD i was bad at it. It's basically required but it feels SO unnatural to press X to avoid something, but O to avoid other things. As cool as it looks when you do it, it absolutely shatters my brain's muscle memory
@@apophis7712 Yeah, that's the biggest problem: People refuse to learn new play styles and adapt to the game's mechanics. They think they're entitled to using the same two buttons, or the same one weapon or one ability; and if they can't, that means the fight is "poorly designed."
I'm spamming R1 on my quality build from 12 years ago but doing shit damage, this game sucks. Also, unironically, why the same people play bleed builds.
@@apexcrab Because you are not suppose to spam R1 ONLY in this game. I agreed that the balance is horrible, yes bleed and many weapon arts are overpowered etc. However, if you learn to charge heavy, jump attack or using dual wield, you'll have a better time. Weapons like straight sword (I assume it is what you use) is better to dual wield to have a better moveset and damage.
Nooooo, now i lost my purpose in life. Edit: lol, no the casting doesnt come out because youre low. It comes out because when youre low, you try to create distance and creating distance is the thing that triggers him to start casting.
@@Wraff Whahaha wraff are you still heated over the casting spam? I thought since this was like a year ago... Anyway, yeah no the moment you TRY and create distance (not saying you succeed) he starts to cast. If you remain in melee range he barely never casts. Seems like he does it due to low health but thats just because, with your play style, being low is the only time you attempt to leave melee range. Cant imagine fighting this dude as a pure caster. He parries your spells and spams the F out of you from a distance...
xD is there an ng 2 upload? ng 3 upload?? season 4???? XD jk awesome content. Can't believe I watched this entire playthrough. Was like watching a tv show.
wow thank you for the effort Wraff! Through this series i found myself playing soulsborne games and i couldn‘t be happier Can’t wait to experience the DLC with you! ❤
So happy, that you put up all the remaining videos. Love watching your journey and it’s so interesting when you deep dive into the lore. Also enjoy your Loreathons, whenever I can. ❤️
Started watching this playthrough to see someone super into the lore on their first playthrough, stayed for the DS2 slander slander, detective work, and seeing backseaters getting dunked on (even if it's better it didn't happen). Awesome series!
I've gotta say, I'm extremely impressed by how far you got your first go at the elden beast. I barely got it's health an ⅛ down before I died. You got ⅔ the way done! Bravo!!!
So NG+ on RU-vid when? 😅 Also I find it interesting how different the views are on all the bosses. For instance I love the Radagon fight. I thought it really showcased how much the skills of the player have improved since the start of the game. I’d honestly love a harder Radagon fight.
I didn't keep the NG+ vods because I was truly running out of space, but I have some clips I've put up here and there of new moments. I've been playing the game regularly since this though, so there's always something
Very very good playthough. Thank you for all the hours of entertainment. As a lore enjoyer, because of the way you see the lore and how you think this was super satisfying to watch from episode 1 to 104. Many times i see creators finish the game and thats it, but at 47:27 you gave some closing thoughts, very satisfying to see that too. Thanks again! 1
She literally streamed this game for hundreds of hours on twitch and there is currently a loreathon happening on this very channel in preperation for the DLC, whats up with these questions lol
Now that the end is here, I now have no choice but to binge the entire series from the beginning!✊ Also, love the Beast or hate the Beast, your god-tier dodging at 24:00 will never not be sick af
Honestly enjoyed the playthrough as a whole for the lore enthousiasm and your skills deciphering it. But i had a harder time enjoying it towards the end, as much as you had a harder time enjoying the game if that makes sense. 😢 Anyways it was an adventure, keep up the good work Wraff. ❤
Every player experienced fatigued towards the end. It's my favorite game of all time but even I can admit it's a long game to stomach the first time because you want to do as much as possible. the subsequent playthroughs are more chill and streamlined with WAY less fatigue. it's funny I've seen tons of playthroughs and the consensus I get from the end game is always an unsaid: 'time to wrap this up already' but then comes the credits and everybody gets emotional 😂
Sadly even in 2024 the bosses are a massive weak point of the game for me. Nothing fills me with more dread than hitting Maliketh and realizing all I have left to do is a boss rush of a bunch of stinkers. I'm happier hunting for lore, dialogue, questlines, architecture or...fighting other bosses from other games lol
*sees the ending* SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMP (im joking of course, the ranni ending is one of the coolest and honestly the one that makes the most sense being canon)
Thank you so much for seeing this through. I know how much work this took. I’m wondering if you ever changed your mind about Melina. She’s one of my favorites.
Tbh a lot of this was playing it up to be funny. I definitely had my problems with her, but the dialogue I missed really showcases her quiet resolve, and the farewell cutscene is touching. I like Melina a lot more now than I did at first!
@@Wraff I feel like she’s one of the only Waifus that has a story with a beginning, middle and end. And I absolutely love the voice actor and her design. I swear I tear up every time she sacrifices herself.
@@Wraff ya, I've noticed that too. You really like to stick your face to every corner, don't you?😁 I couldn't do this even if I wanted to...I was getting lost constantly😣
I finally catched up. Great series ! You must be relieved it is finished, must have been tough. You keep talking about Bloodborne, i'm not into the theme of the game : gothic, hunters, lycans, vampires... not really my thing. But while i dont want to play it maybe you have some let's play on it for us ?
this fight made me about as angry as I have ever been at a video game, specifically because you have to fight both of them in a row. However, in retrospect I don't think it would have made sense to split them up. This game gives you so many incredibly powerful tools to make bosses easier, and Elden Beast is a boss specifically designed to only really be difficult because you're struggling to learn its attacks with reduced resources from the Radagon fight. The brilliant thing about this is that it's definitely possible to just get lucky and beat Radagon without really mastering him, but if you want Elden Beast to go smoothly you need to actually learn how to fight Radagon. I think that it would be best for future games if they didn't have such divisive things as Spirit Summons, which many players who are familiar with these games or want to master them will avoid using, and end up running into brick walls of difficulty as a result. It would be easier to tune bosses for different skill levels if.... the game just had difficulty modes. I know that no one wants to hear that, but it would be an overall better solution. (just make the difficulty set to the highest level whenever you summon someone for multiplayer so invaders don't get cheesed in easy mode worlds)
My dear, it has been a fabulous showing! How youve played this amazing game from beginning to end inspires me. Thanks to you, ive come to realize how to truly play an open world game with such creative freedom. Cant wait for June 21st! Hoping to see how you tackle SotE in the near future as well! I downloaded Dark Souls remastered, and have been inspired by you to truly understand what these worlds of fantasy have to offer! Much love, respect and support, Wraff!!! 🫶👊🙌
