Am I the only one who finds Elden Ring armour strange? Not the concept or ascetic of it, but the way it fits the body. It either looks too thin, too misplaced or too loose on your character. My Fashion Souls has been screaming since this game came out. Maybe it also has something to do with a lack of major armour variation, idk

@@DUES_EX poise is what it is. I liked the DS3 hyper armor system more. This mish mash of it and ds1 passive poise are not too great. I prefer to just wear the armor I like at this point and make sure that it has enough poise to meet some break points. I feel like when it comes to poise it's more important to have something that's doing high poise damage than it is to be wearing high poise armor. A lot of attacks can't be tanked by most armor setups besides the poisiest armors like bullgoats, R2s for example just can't be tanked in most cases even with bullgoats. Some weapons have very fast or just plain good R2s.

@@DUES_EX poise is super important in pvp, if someone smart realises you don't have enough they'll spam you with a rapier

@@fush0690 I agree whole heartedly. However; this may sound weird but poise can also work against you. For example, if a boss uses waves of darkness and you poise the first it. You don’t get knocked down so you do not get invincibility frames. So you take extra damage from consecutive waves. I guess that’s more so PvE but it can happen PvP. The best builds in my mind for pvp would be bullgoat for max poise, thrust sword with endure, and a status on the weapon. That would be scary

Not to mention a mimic is still a npc so it wont necessarily be able to know when to back off or how to avoid parries

While some are better than others there are some fun uses for weaker summons. You could try and summon land squirts to poison bomb your opponent

I know ER is built on DS3 but still some of the lore and key items are pretty much the same and honestly would make alot of sesne to share a universe. Why would they change it for invading though? This is REAL PVP so of course its even players vs players. When invading someone you have their entire world on your side and against them, of course it wouldn't be even amount of players. Invasion isn't real PvP, its for the scrubs too scared to do duels and get smooshed that want the power-trip of killing someone and ruining their game while having a massive advantage.

@@Barragur Beating dedicated gank squads is harder than winning duels. You're typically 3v1ing players who are as good as mag duelists if you invade at meta level. Also invading was the OG pvp since demon souls. It's by definition the "real" pvp. The community basically created duels and the conduct around it.
