Those merchants that just sit on the floor, completely motionless... I don't think they're dead. Or at least any more dead than the ones still walking about and playing the lullaby. They're just so completely exhausted and drained from a percieved eternity of being trapped in a hole, they no longer have the energy to even breathe. Humans in the Lands Between can't die of old age, and they eventually come back to life.
@@sentii8131 Well, even though the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending isn't necessarily a "Good Ending," I still think it's a good "Ending." The idea that for all the planning, and scheming, and plotting, that every god of the land betwixt bent their every effort towards, they neglected to consider a rogue tarnished embracing the 3 fingers and destroying not only the golden order, but the very concept of order itself, in one final spiteful "If I can't win, no-one wins" table-flip move, is an interesting ending, I like it. That said, the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending is absolutely not a "Good Ending," I am quite fond of existence, even when considering the pain associated with life.
@@blubercharge19 I see it as identical to Instrumentality from Evangelion. The Frenzied Flame melts all life (though Hyetta's dialogue seems to imply that it's all things, not just all living things) into one existence. It isn't 'good' or 'bad', because it's destroying the concepts of good and bad. You're creating a world with no pain, sorrow, or evil, but also a world with no pleasure, joy, or good. It's a completely empty, meaningless existence, like reseting the universe to before the big bang.
Melina asserts a notion. That life endures despite the broken state of the world. That there is beauty in births continuing in spite of the torment. Her notion is a lie, she just doesn't know any better. There is no beauty in the endless torture endured by life. As Midra says, I have endured more than enough. May Chaos take the World
YOOOOOOOOOOOO. Thank you so much for doing this. Now my frenzy song playlist has 15 videos, a VERY welcome addition to my collection. Edit: it now has almost 30 videos. I still need more...
@@RayanTheModder Ooh, thank you very much, Rayan. I am going to do it. Elden Ring looks like a wonderful game, but I unfortunately can't play it right now. Ah, and the original soundtrack sounds amazing
This is so beautiful, I just have to know if I can use this in a project I'm working on! I'm open to discussing through Twitter, email, or right here on YT if you prefer. Can't wait to hear back!
Unfortunately no Here's a screenshot of the melody tho: imgur.com/a/Y8TQNap. It's been a while but I believe the underlying chord progression I put during that part is G D C Am Em G C G
You my friend have just made my vision a blurry mess, good fucking job. You understand the meaning behind the song and it shows...the beat take on the song I have heard
Yes, Marika created the golden order because her people suffered cruelty and injustice at the hands of the Hornsent and she wanted revenge, but in the end she was just as cruel and unjust as her oppressors. The Frency Flame is the most ethical ending because she punishes them all equally.
I believe this is by THE BEST arrangement of the merchant song that has ever graced this platform. You have a talent of gold, don't let them take it from you.
Sadder still, the hopefulness of the piece is probably the Merchant's way of escaping his situation, that someone would actually find them buried. Basically, the sound of hope was him going mad.
Me finding this cursed prison, and finding this merchant playing the violin changed my view on the golden order and everything, and then I went to rennala and changed my faith to the lowest I could take it.
"Ahh, Lord Vyke, it seems that you were no lord, after all." "Then where is he? Our true Lord, our Lord of Frenzied Flame." "We beg of you, incinerate all that divides and distinguishes." "Ahh, may chaos take the world!"
