I can’t believe I forgot to talk about the Vykes Dragonbolt Incantation! This is one of the best! It will cause your weapon and body to be covered in red lightning adding about 250 extra lighting damage stacked on top of your physical attack power! ⚡️
Wow this is this first video where a RU-vidr actually takes his time and show you the build from lvl 50 to 250.. Great video man. Sub most definitely earned.
Yeah I love that too! In most cases I don't have a char that just gets respecced, but create a new one and then it's always difficult to figure out how to level up over time and what to focus on. Of course you could figure it out within the playthrough, but this way it's much better :)
Gravel Stone seal - bonus 20% to lightning incantations. Much better for your 150 version. Especially seeing as erdtree doesn't out scale the other seals until 80 faith. :) nice video mate. Enjoy your content!
Gravel stone seal is +15% bonus to dragon cult incantations. Erdtree outclasses the other seals from 69 faith upward, not including multi-stat seals with high numbers in both/all stats, but since that requires a very high investment at the cost of other stats, or just insanely high levels, erdtree is generally the better one. However, if you're only using dragon cult, you might as well stick with the gravel stone seal - even at 80 faith Erdtree gives 353 incant, whereas Gravel Stone has effective incant of 366 when casting dragon cult incantations.
You should definitely offhand the Gravel Stone Seal when casting lightning incantations. Even if it's not upgraded at all, just holding it in the offhand while casting with your other seal boosts those lightning incantations by another 20%
I actually have a current build based off of two Gravel Stone seal 2x lighting stacks(im lvl 355), really works wonders. I love this build though, may have to use it lol
I'm new to Elden Ring, and I always come to your channel for information. You've helped me enjoy this game so much that I just wanted to stop by and say thank you very much, man. You're awesome! 🙏
Again awesome guide, just 1 thing which I noticed while watching this: Keep in mind that flame, grant me strength will only increase the damage you do with physical attacks (bolt of gransax non ashe of war attacks, uchigatanas). Still a really strong incantation in this build, but I know that there are definitely some people who leave out the uchigatanas because they just use bolt of gransax for the ashe of war, so keep in mind: Only use Flame, Grant Me Strength if you go in for melee with physical attacks. But again, awesome guide, just like the Int/Strength Build with the Dark Moon Greatsword!
Don’t sleep on the other 2 lightning spells. They can cause very high damage in close range. The one that has the double spear hits with both spears and residual lightning on the ground. The single one will knock back enemies with the exception of bosses/mini bosses
I just started playing Elden Ring recently "I know I'm late, as always" but I'm shocked on how many build varieties there is. I went in expecting to pick a class and be that for the rest of the game! but it turns out the class you pick only determines your early game than you have absolute freedom to pick and choose. Love it!
Btw, there is no reason to start as Warrior with this build as you did in the tutorial, Vagabond is best for min maxing since it has the least combined stat total of arcane and intelligence (the two stats that aren’t used in this build) the total is 16 while warrior has 19, 3 wasted levels there with the same lvl total
Was going to say it myself but if he had it it would increase the weapon and multiple incantations i believe it stacks with the shard of alexander too you would just have to play slower without the turtle talisman
I suggest using the highest incant scaling seal in this case erdtree seal for casting the incations but still hold the gravel stone seal in the other hand for additional damage boost.
I love the faith dex build its so much fun. I personally use a ton of different weapons in this build so I raised my strength in order to use those different weapon. Aside that it was pretty much the same as yours :)
I've got a level 50 strength faith build but wanted to change to more Dex/faith cos I don't like the slow playstyle. Do you think it's too late for me to switch?
@@KakuraZenom ok thanks. This is my first fromsoft game so I went with a paladin build because I heard it was easy to do. Found out I really like using uchigatana so I think I'm gonna transition to faith/dex
I've now reached the Mountaintop of the Giants area and was thinking of doing a respec from my Greatsword/Clawmark seal build and try something like this. It just looks cool as hell. Also, a good thing about it is that you can change your BoG to Godslayer GS if you want, scales with Dex/Fth as well. These 2 weapons are visually some of my favourites
@@ColdBwoyy yeah, too bad bog doesnt really need poise/heavy armor but godslayer does need a lot of it. I guess I can just stick to bog or pump endurance more/ use great jar's arsenal
Getting back into Elden ring and was trying to find the Best build for my new character and this definitely is the one I’m doing! Can’t wait to try it!
I love Faith Builds more than any other type because there are so many ways to build your character. A Strength/Faith would be great with Blasphemous Blade and Fire Incantations. I have a Faith/Dexterity build with two Sacred Relic Swords, Tree Sentinel Shield, two Marika's Hammers, Leyndell Armor, Erdtree Seal and I use holy buff type Incantations. He is a Holy Paladin type, and I didn't give him a name, I just name my builds and his is Sacred Justice. Hand of the Erdtree had too many characters lol. I also use the Holy Cracked Crystal Tear to up my Holy Damage. My Astrologer Pure Intelligence Wizard is named Cosmic Alchemist and my Arcane/Dexterity guy is Mohgwyn's Wrath for now. I really like your build here, the build has a solid Identity and I really like that aspect to building out a character. My Quality Vagabond still needs a name, it's my favorite so I just use my PSN for its name at the moment.
Tried fire avatar:))) Amazing, greatsword, bloodflame, all fire incantations, talismans etc, really fun. And the aow (lion's idk, u jump overhead and hit like a truck)
One of the sickest, most cool looking builds I’ve ever seen! I’m halfway through my first play through as a Moonveil mage but I’ve gotta try this build on my next play though!
Faith is really fun and versatile, theres tons of damage types, weapons, and Incantations to choose from when building out a character. Most of the cooler end game boss weapons scale with Faith so I think you'll have a blast. I did a faith build on my 3rd playthrough. It turned out really sick imo. On my 2nd playthrough/Build I made an Astrologer Pure Intelligence Wizard with Carian Regal Sceptor, Moonveil Katana, Wing of Astel, and Dark Moon Greatsword. I usually kept both Moonveil and Wing of Astel equipped and would switch between the two depending on the enemy type. If you haven't tried out Wing of Astel, I highly recommend it, the weapon art is badass and stun locks a bunch of enemies.
Just watching this now I’m starting elden ring as a brand new player this is definitely the build I want. I’ve been doing my research to decide which one I want this is definitely it
I recently bought elden ring and was looking for some fun build, you're the first one who showed me step by step what do i need with all items in description, thank you man, you made my game better
I know it's and old video(still 1.10 though, I believe?), but I feel like it should be pointed out that your 50-150 stat distribution never has strength at 20, which is a requirement for Bolt of Gransax. Just in case anyone out there leveling up a new character for the DLC(or new player or bored and trying it out) is intrigued by this build like I was - you're gonna want to grab 5 points from other stats and throw them into strength. Otherwise you'll be forced to 2 hand. Thanks for video :)
Thanks for this video! Now after 105hrs, lvl 171 i finally reach this Build. It was very cool to build and play up till this now! I will upload a short video about my build and credit with a thanks to you in my description! Now iam prepared for the dlc.
Sick build! Just a note though, it sounds like your mic is peaking at different points in the video. Your gain might be set too high when you're recording audio. Cool vid!
Build looks SO lit man! I''m a Eldren King noob, I was playing a pure INT mage but got bored with the gameplay and switched out to to a faith/dex build. Seems like I made the right choice, so much options compared to an INT mage. I'm level 30, what would you recommend focussing on? I might level mind up a bit as the lightning spears are taking a lot of mp
Now, I'm not using bolt of gransax, not because it's not good, it's insanely good. I'm not running it because my basic lightning spear does nearly the same dmg as seen by gransax in this video. I just have 0 in dex because the firm 0.13 second cast time improvement from 99 dex plus radagon is a hard joke. But Im quite confident that if I brought faith and arcane to 99 then I'll have more dmg with basic lightning spear than the bolt of gransax. We are talking about 3,000 plus damage quickly cast spears that are a must dodge/block or die lol I was inspired by this video so I had to come back to it. I'm using dragon communion seal and a gravel stone in the off hand for the buff, then I keep both incant talismans for the 4% and 8% buffs. The rest is irrelevant
Great video! I'm using this build for my first playthrough! I did have a question, though. The Bolt of Gran requires 20 str and 40 dex to use, but at level 150, you have str set at 15. Am I missing something that makes up the other 5 points? Keep making these great videos!
Any reason why your not using the dragon cult seal. When I went full lightning I used both seals. I used both dex and strength weapons but found that I enjoyed just using the lightning and if I needed to use a weapon it was the weapon you’re using. Had a great time with that build.
@@Ghost-ri4xn there's no such thing. The Dragon Communion Seal boosts the dragon incantations you get from turning in hearts at the dragon cathedral. It wouldn't help here. The Gravel Stone Seal is the one that boosts the lightning incantations.
Yep, I use Granssax's for range and swap to Cragblade to gap close and cast Ancient Lightning on bosses. If they're big, that's enough to kill them in seconds.
Showcase that shows a level 200+ char. I can literally make any character build broken at 200 lol… Somehow the “recommended” level 100 stats given still don’t meet the requirements for bolt of gransax either, which is half the entirety of the showcase :p.
Hi I have a question! You list this same build in your S tier faith builds video. Which should I use since there are differences between them. Also, whenever I equip bloodhounds step on my uchigatanas it only gets B tier dex scaling. Is there a reason for this? Thanks love the videos they’re super helpful.
Lightning incantations are so cool but they have such specific and few optimization options that you run by the same spear/thrust sword weapon builds in Coop/PVP over and over again. And there are not enough weapons with AoE options that scale with faith. Katanas are cool, but they would hit harder with some optional faith scaling. I was playing a faith/strength build and ran on similar limitations. Using Malikeths Black Blade with some hard hitting lightning incantations felt certainly more rewarding than using the katanas, but at the same time, you‘re stuck with destined death. And using another Colossal Sword like Greatsword feels underwhelming towards endgame, cause you‘re missing out on faith scaling and lightning infusions that only scale with dex. Kinda frustrating. Hope the DLC gives us some nice new options.
If anyone is still watching this a year later and has a hard time killing the knight, managing distance using a spear with impaling thrust makes it really easy to kill no matter the lvl lol
I would recommend instead of putting bloodhounds step on your uchigatanas, you could put on a bleed ash of war. Or keep the base ash of war, or even go with an ash of war like thunderbolt, it fits the lightning build. It’s nothing against bloodhounds step, but it was also recently nerfed. One last thing, you don’t need an ash of war on both uchigatanas, you need it on just one
Man crazy build Looks so badass! Just started playing the Game few days ago and randomly came across your vid, exactly what i was Lookimg for 😍 WhatsApp incantations and weapon do you recommend before Getting all the magic and stuff you Need? Especially for early game?
What were some of the go to weapons used while working towards that Bolt of Gransax? I have been using Winged Scythe + 10 for a while now, but the further I go, the weaker it feels.
What ash of war do you put on the second uchi? Or do you have bloodhound step on both and then keen? If you're dual wielding then it will use the second uchi's ash I think.
If dual wielding it uses the right hand with the only exception being shields where it uses the shields ash of war on the left hand instead of your right hand weapon
Thank you so much for this video! I just beat the game on my first playthrough last night! I used ur video to help me out because I'm doing a lightning build as well. I modified it a little bit to fit how I play but still thank you!!!
It's only better up to like maybe 60 though. Beyond that, the seal he's using is better, but he should still be holding the Gravel Stone Seal in his offhand for the damage boost.
Interesting idea: if you don't care about the thematic stuff, put a bit more into strength (sacrificing a bit of dex) and use fire damage as well as not many bosses resist fire and lighting at the same time. Edit: this only works on higher than 150 builds
Yeah I’m also not doing a lot of damage with it. I’ve got 55 faith, maxed out Erdtree Seal, max katanas and everything and now I do less damage than I did with my strength build
I think the starting class is warrior because when he is in the attribute points section it shows Intelligence(10) and Arcane(9) are the not leveled up attributes. The only class with those starting values is warrior.
Great video! Definitely gonna use it as inspiration for a new build 😊 But some people, myself included, get triggered by “obviously”, it’s not always so obvious and you use it every other sentence. Otherwise, keep up the good work!
This build is fire! It actually helped me kill Maliketh! Thank you Edit: I nixed the lighting spear and put a thunderbolt on my regular katana that I maxed out, so if I have slightly weaker enemies I just zap them a small area.
Fun build, but I like to run the lightning incantations with the Blasphemous blade to maximize ranged and melee damage. Faith not adding to your weapon damage is no bueno
How do you deal with lightning resistant enemies with this build? Lots of Lighting Dragons in this game. Other than that, I freaking love this build, thanks for posting it.
Awesome vid. Got grandax, ice bolt, en honed and lanssex. Any idea to replace the uchigatanas? I am using one and I am feeling i am still getting besten
