thanks a lot. im really surprised as to why so many "guides" dont just say "go to the lift where you used the other medallion and just switch to the secret medallion" simple and easy explained in this vid
a neat tip for those that get over zealous when attacking, just like with illusory walls if you roll into disguised NPCs it will reveal them without damaging them in the process
FINALLY! Thank you Arekkz, I had no idea what I was doing wrong. Then I found out because of all the blithering idiots leaving dumb messages like "Fort Night" right where you have to hoist the medallion, made it so pressing directionals on the d-pad just let me read those dumb messages rather than actually use the items second part!
Not at all. He doesn't even tell people that getting both halves of the medallion kills Latenna and makes it so that you can't even get to the haligtree
"he's a bit of a challenge" Understatement of the year lol. It took me at least 30 attempts in 2-3 days to kill him, trying many different spells and tactics and every one of my spirit ashes. On top of that there was no one available at the summoning pool to help! I ended up doing what the Wiki suggested a mage to do: equip Cerulean Hidden Tear and Magic-Shrouding Cracked Tear in Wondrous Physick, use Terra Magica to boost my "magic strength", and then literally charge-fired Comet Azur at him until he dropped. Didn't even need to use a summon. I should mention that I also had the Stargazer Heirloom (raises intelligence by 5 points) and the Graven-School Talisman (increases potency of sorceries) which helped with the damage. Hope this helps another mage out there who is having a rough time!
I used a shield, the spike with bleed and my mimic friend. I did it in 5 or 6 attempts that boss is hard to be honest, but after u learn his moves you can see he is actually slow.
It's funny. I was stuck for hours. Then I noticed I had 2 medallions for rold then I read one was haligtree. Then I remembered the dude talking about his master miquella and I saw what I presumed to be the haligtree in front of me. After pondering for hours I finally went back to the base of the rold lift. And noticed I can switch it to the secret medallion for the rold lift. Never felt so stupid or been so satisfied. Mainly I think it was that I didn't read the haligtree portion for so long.
Omf lol I am currently sitting at castle sol rn in game, having just looked up how to get to the last area on the map 🙃 I was soooo close, I was having trouble with the lion guys untill I realized they were kill once enemies thankfully 😂
Thank you. After having both halves of the haligtree medallion I tried that hack of jumping of the ledge because it's the only guide that's showing until I saw this since I have both halves this is much more easier
“Simply run there from the folly Of the lakes” I’ve been trying to get to this village for hours. How hard is it to show the path? Like wtf is “of course if you’ve already been there”
Thnx for the guide. Very simple. Straight forward. I have a question about something completely else. Dragon Adula... i got her to 50% thrn she flew off. I finished ranni's questline so thr dragon should apear next to the cathedral but it wont... did i miss something?
if you are in early game you have plenty to do. even with 1600HP there are some enemys that kill you very quickly and have ALOT of HP themselves. the snowworlds felt like actually like a souls game again after beating dozens of hard bosses easily for a very long time (because OP^^) even smaller enemies killed me quite fast up there
Get the other half from Fort Haight in Mistwood Forrest (South of the Church where you get you Flask of Physik). Then take both halves to the lift at the end of Liurnia Lake. Using it there will allow you to bypass a different area with a boss fight to reach the Altus Plateau.
Castle sol is so hard for some reason, one of thee hardest locations so far, and the enemies can warp THROUGH the fog wall at the boss ( THATS NOT MEANT TO HAPPEN,NEVER HAPPEND IN ANY OF THE SOULS GAMES PREVIOISLY ) and it makes the last boss fight again the commander , really fucking tough. Some place SERIOUSLY need a patch . But thanks for the help man . Thank you
Same thing happened to me a few times, I think its if you let that last knight (at the doorway before going outside) catch up to you he’ll come through the fog wall. If you sprint past all of them and go straight into the fog wall you should be okay. (Im on console btw) ps: he was still super hard for me to beat too
I had that problem too, the knight at the door way would follow me in. So when I died I used the spawn at the front of the castle and used the lift to get back to the boss.
Nice, I’ve gotten to the point of no return but still have no access to the northern map. Thanks for the video, I haven’t used a guide for my first play through but I never would have figured thus out if I didn’t accidentally heard you mentioned it in a recent buildmguide. Thanks.
Bro are you mad! I had literally all the items but never knew I had to go back to the grand lift. Finally decided to look up how to get the most northern part of the map as I knew it didn’t look right being greyed out like that. Only took me f*****g 125 hours ✌️ Not joking, I’m lv150
