thats what ive been doing and my buddy was watching me and was like how ru doing this im like idk it feels more natural. Now I know why lol. Played a ton of MH.
@@Dabagel100 Yeah, Astel, Dragons, basically anything that really screws with your camera when you get close. It's partly because you can control what you see better, and it's partly because half the time the lock on point is up, so your character swings upwards instead of straight ahead and drastically shortens your attack range as a result.
If you can beat Barioth you can beat anything From software can throw at you. Serious though you are right. Same with bloodborne. Don't lock onto anything just get good at dodging and you're playing it on easy mode.
As a melee user, I would recommend to use Flame of the redmanes as it breaks the poise of bosses rather quick, usually its 2-5 uses until their poise breaks for crit which is super useful
@@criminalchicken499 I do have the rapier with flame of Redmanes, so I have poise break and rot with that, but it's definitely more risky than a caster that can breathe rot from 5 miles away to be safe from astels gravity body moves....or radahn in general
For whatever reason I got mad bored fighting the boss, but bro is literally the last hurdle to getting the wolf armor. this vid is basically what I've been doin but that meteor shower part should help me do him in.
I was ready to crown this game into my Mount Rushmore until Radahn onward as a melee player. My God. Way too many of these bosses are total dogshit as melee. Really, really disappointing.
Dude, I wish I could give a million likes. As a lvl 72 melee strength build, this bastard really pissed me off and just about put me in a Sekiro put the game down for a week mode….I did exactly what you suggested and killed him within 2 new tries! Thanks!!
He's not a secret boss, sure he's not titled to the main quest bosses but he's not a secret one either, in Ranni's quest you have to kill him in order to progress through her quest
I'm using the same weapon and I keep forgetting I can jump attack in this game. I was struggling to hit his head but I'm sure I'll first try him next time I play thanks
The biggest problem for me is the MASSIVE fps drops I get. I go from 100 to 50 in the blink of an eye during this boss, which makes it impossible to dodge its attacks.
@@Jmoney62789 My settings aren't already optimised to reduce FPS drops. It's just because From are awful at optimising PC ports. I managed to beat the boss yesterday 👍
terrible boss, I'm 115 and can't beat it. I have to fight the camera and him at the same time. I have 1400 hp and if he combo 2 attacks without me potting I'm dead
I had about 700 when I fought him. If youre struggling, stick behind his body or to the side and you can usually see his teleport. He might ground slam with the shock waves but you should survive it and have enough time to flask
I was on this boss for 2 hours and the way I beat him was using uchigatana on one hand with bloodhound step and moonveil on the other basically this boss Is a test of patience don't hit unless you're sure to hit and time your dodges
ty sm for some reason that jumping heavy tip made me get it first try after watching the vid even though it was doing about the same damage as my normal attacks pretty weird but it worked
He tends to quickly warp behind me and grab me when I get him to a certain amount of health. It breaks the lock on and I have to run as soon as he warps. It's kind of a cheap shot when you're under level and using a weapon with no reach. It's really hard to find him when he does this because it is faster than the other teleportations. Usually when both of you are closer to the edge of the arena. So I try to keep him back towards the edge of the arena and my back to the the center. Idk if that made any sense at all but that's how it goes on PS4.
Its not really that great because he's weak and gets staggered out of most his attacks, but yeah what the dude above said. The albanauric archer is a lot better though if you want a good ranged summon.
