Nah, if you keep dodging towards the inner portion of the arena it's not that bad. Still, From Software should finally invent some sort of camera zoom out when fighting those big bosses.
@@ChunskieFartFilms Yup. While aggression is always the best choice in Souls games, the timing is just as important to the gameplay. Correctly timing when to engage, when to fall back, when to heal, etc.
@@djpeajayit just doesn’t especially in this dlc the final boss cannot be staggered and has combos that hit very hard so waiting for good opportunities to attack rather than r1 spamming is a better strategy
"Get ready to spend 90% of a fight strafing around doing somersaults through a bunch of attacks that you had to memorize the timing of through trial and error because they're designed to be unreactable, then slowly chip its lifebar down doing the same one move as a punish over and over!" A glowing advertisement indeed
RL1 on Godskins is actually very easy, since you have so much strong stuff at your disposal. I did 0 runes spent run, and that shit was hell, because no levels, no weapon upgrades and mainly no sleep pots, since I can't buy a crafting kit. So in some way I feel you bro. RL1 should definitely be doable, but If you've given up on that challenge because of Foreskins, it's completely ok too
From what I can guess, the weapon he uses is called the Lordsworn Greatsword. It has 110 crit which means it will deal more damage when riposting an enemy than most greatswords. It's set to cold infused, which means it can trigger the frostbite status effect, which deals 10% health first, then increasing the amount of damage dealt by 20% for 30 seconds. The idea is to use charge heavy attacks to stance break the boss to get a riposte while the ash of war storm blade is there to deal a bit more stance damage while also being a good source of extra damage. ( Man I wish my skills are at least 50% as good as this guy)
@@joshualing5667 thank you for taking the time to explain that for me. I haven’t tried to use frost damage build, maybe someday. Thank you and I’m sure we will continue to improve in the game.
@@alexschittenden you got great mentality right there, my friend. Let's all overcome these bosses, let's climb this mountain, a lot of people may give up during this adventure and go hollow, but we have to preservere
@@bugga3499 Alexander shard+Rellana cameo+blade of mercy+dagger talisman should be the full on talismans combo for square off poise breaking play style
@@bugga3499 To add to the topic, Lordsworns Straight Sword is good for square off, for 110 crit multiplier, since square off is a stance breaking machine that nets you a lot of crits, might aswell go for Blade of Mercy talisman, since it enhances your attack power after critting an enemy, so again a no brainer combined with square off
The thing I am noticing in the dlc is the bosses not only do crazy moves which is normal in fromsoft games but they also distance themself after the move so you not only have to spend stamina dodging the move, you not gotta spend additional stamina running down the boss just get one hit or the boss will move on to next combo. I was running out of stamina at 30 endurance for a dex build even after having stamina regeneration talisman which is crazy to me. RL1 would be crazy when I get to it lol.
Learn correct positioning, because bosses always tend to continue their combos if you're in their face, dodging behind them severely shortens their combos and grants big openings for dealing damage, distancing yourself from an attack and immediately engaging after boss has finished attacking also helps, with a sprint into a jumping heavy or distance-closer ash of wars for example
This boss is amazing. He makes you learn the counters for his movements in phase one abd thise same movements punish you in phase 2 lightning. If you roll those attacks then you will be roll caught by the lightning
What a fun boss! I think I've spent more than half my total time playing this DLC putting down coop signs to help others beat it! Also, it's wild how much easier he is to dodge if you light roll, medium rolling has me panic dodging back through his whole combos, but light rolling kept me in control of the spacing the whole fight. The biggest threat to me are the lightning bolts thrown directly at you, the tell is super quick and if there's any lag in coop you see the tell the exact same time the bolt is thrown so I keep my distance so I can roll as soon as I see the bolt coming rather than the tell
Seriously man this boss literally punishes you for being close to it, every move it does has an AoE in its lightning and ice phase, it's like it was made to be beaten with ranged. After watching your video I took notes and used Storm Blade and beat it in my 2nd attempt with storm blade.
