@@fiso64 a lot of his failed runs eventually became successful after many months previously so I guess he doesn’t want to spoil those potential videos.
Love how every Ymfah video is "oh no he got himself stuck behind a boss impossible for him to defeat in his current state" and then he whips out the .50 cal Pizza Hunter and you're just like "ah yes of course, how silly of me."
@@revolverocelot1380 Eh, depends on your definition of AI. By the broadest definitions, a mechanical lever qualifies as AI. By the narrowest definition, there exists no way for us to make AI.
dude this might be the greatest youtube video I’ve ever watched The two different AI voices to give contrast, the spot on editing, the funny title cards breaking up pace, the constant rollercoaster of “hows he gonna get out of this one?” Majestic.
I like how some voice lines are muffled and some are cristal clear, as if some are recorded in the wild and some in the studio. Or maybe I'm just clinically insane
I've used 2 ai models. One trained with clean "narration" and the other with "casual talk" in the wild. The casual talk soundbites were much dirty with background noise and worse mic so you're pretty spot on.
I absolutely HATE how accurate this is to actual reality TV. The constant ad break title drops, the really formulaic narration, the whole works. You absolutely nailed this video.
funny how marks complain about an elevator to a volcano, but praise an elevator to a complete city floating in the nightsky under the land, and a dude crashing from space doesn't "break your immersion"
@@CrovaxThat night sky isn’t real… Edit: Also Radahn’s jump isn’t immersion breaking because he mastered gravity magic. It’s not far fetched for this game at all.
@Crovax I liked it personally, but those aren't comparable. Elevator down to night cave makes sense. Elevator up into the lava sky doesn't make sense.

Yeah, me too. It reminded me of a poem I really like. I know no one probably cares, but I’ll share it anyways because it resonated with me when I needed it, so maybe someone else will read this and be inspired to keep on keeping on as well: “nobody can save you but yourself. you will be put again and again into nearly impossible situations. they will attempt again and again through subterfuge, guise and force to make you submit, quit and /or die quietly inside. nobody can save you but yourself and it will be easy enough to fail so very easily but don’t, don’t, don’t. just watch them. listen to them. do you want to be like that? a faceless, mindless, heartless being? do you want to experience death before death? nobody can save you but yourself and you’re worth saving. it’s a war not easily won but if anything is worth winning then this is it. think about it. think about saving your self. your spiritual self. your gut self. your singing magical self and your beautiful self. save it. don’t join the dead-in-spirit. maintain your self with humor and grace and finally if necessary wager your self as you struggle, damn the odds, damn the price. only you can save your self. do it! do it! then you’ll know exactly what I am talking about.” From “nobody but you” by Charles Bukowski
Ymfah, I honestly feel that the ending to this specific video is a cinematic masterpiece. I particularly love how the maiden speaks just as the music builds, and then the "beat" drops as she finishes talking. It really gave me goosebumps. Chefs kiss
Despite how insanely creative and skilled ymfah is at the game, it's the humour that really keeps me coming back. There's quite a lot of challenge youtubers that do marvellous things but I can't stand to sit through an hour-long video where they simply narrate what they do in the dryest of fashions. This editing, jokes, quips, hidden easter eggs, it's absolutely magnificent!
@@blueleader7693 What rules? He didn't even strictly outline what exactly the "rules" were, besides skipping any point of grace before Volcano Manor and trying to get back to Limgrave. Which he did.
This video might not draw in as many immediate views as a 'NO WALK ELDEN RING' thumbnail, but this is the best video you've done regardless. it's impeccable.
Did you actually train 2 different set of voices? There's a clear difference between "live" Bear Grills and "voiceover" Bear Grills. It's extremely convincing. Great video as always.
Usually it's easy for people to grow bored of watching several playthroughs of one game, but here you are making it an entirely different beast. Love it 💖✨️
The whole “Everything after Makar is Altus, so we are unable to wrongwarp” into just finding a small nook that for no reason is counted is part of Ruin Strewn Precipice fuckin killed me
The attention to detail is insane. One Bear sounds like when Bear is talking to the camera on site and the other, more crisp, as the professional recording in the studio. Stellar work man.
Been watching your videos for a while now, and I''ve gotta say, you were the one who got me into the souls franchise to begin with, and to see that the quality of your content never faltered and just kept going up is insane. keep it up king, you're an inspiration
Damn, I smiled so wide when Summoning Salt’s theme came on at the end lol what an absolutely perfect song to end an amazing video. That plus the timing on Milena’s greeting, just so damn good.
This has to be one of my favorite Ymfah vids. The plot of using Bear Grills, although memey, added so much to the stakes of this otherwise ridiculous challenge run. End was more motivational than any sigma video I’ve seen
Love how you made one voice that sounds like hes actually in the wild and one post production voice. Obviously it's all in post but that attention to detail is why I'll keep watching!
Ymfah I implore you to make this a regular series. You replicated so many of the original shows quirks and format perfectly, and this is possibly my new favorite video on your channel
Ok, but lets talk about how genius ymfah’s selection for music is. I actually got a teensy bit emotional when the heroes of the storm theme started playing! hahaha
Summoning Salt music at the end is cheating that can make even the biggest malarkey sound profound and inspiring. Also ending with the Melina cutscene was beautiful.
The ending monologue is actually very sweet. "Embrace challenge" makes me think of this channel's ethos of doing goofy challenge runs and exploring every bit the game has to offer.
Embracing challenges is how you find the weird stuff. I recently got hooked on Age of Wonders 4, and started a "spider only" challenge where I could only use units that were spiders, or could ride spiders. It wound up being surprisingly easy, but in the process I learned a LOT about the game.
Man, these AI voices are crazy. Especially love YMFAH's attention to detail, though. The writing and structure is exactly like a real episode of MvW, and he even has two separate voice types with both Bear's narration voice-over and the live commentary.
@@GardenGuy1942 ymfah uploaded this video and did everything you see in-game of course, but he himself said that the entire script was written (and also read) by AI.
@@nathanjora7627 because writing a script is an extremely long and boring process if you make videos like this . Chatgpt does a very good job at writing scripts so why not save your time ?
Thought you were just gonna slap on a "no fast travel allowed" rule or something to prevent getting out of the manor easily. Was not expecting you to put just as much effort into getting legitimately stuck as you did getting unstuck lol Fantastic video as always, would love more objective-based videos like this that have a specific goal in mind rather than a simple restriction (although those videos are great as well, obviously). Very fun change of pace!
I welcome the change. I think it will remind us that digital media was always illusory. It's not fucken real. I miss the old internet, but i think it's time for humanity to return to the real world.
I know just how much work must have gone into making something like this. But this is it. This is a masterpiece of entertainment. I adored this video, adored the concept, and adored just how much enjoyment I got out of watching this. Thanks for putting this together, and if this happens to become a thing going forward I'm all for it.
Man, AI voice cloning software is actually starting to scare me. You can create audio of anyone saying anything, and you can use that as proof to frame them for a crime. Pair this with AI-generated videos of someone speaking, and you can basically frame them for anything you want. I don't like where this is heading.
This is a perfect example of how AI should be used. It adds to your already amazing editing and it's hilarious. The challenge is also really cool, I kind of want to try it myself now lol
10/10 video, everything from the gameplay to the script to the Bear impressions, absolutely flawless. Please make more content like this and take my subscription
Your final monologue about perseverance was so unexpected to hear from this channel, but it felt genuinely nice to be reminded. (Also nice song choice! "We are finally landing")
At first I was like "oh, he cut up some dialogues from the show" but then I heard Bear Grylls talk about the church of anticipation and remembered AI voices are a thing now xd
The script and voices by AI scare me but i suppose this is the way to use them. But it makes me sad as they will be abused immediately and already are. Although i wish a voice actor could have struted their stuff instead. Like some talent from fiverr at least.
I'm somewhat unsettled by the fact that it took a little bit for me to register this audio is done through an AI and you didn't just get a very good Bear Grylls impersonator.
I've never played elden ring or any other soulslike, I watch your videos because I love your humor and editing style. I have to say, I'm really impressed with how you used AI to augment your workflow rather than replace it outright. It's a great testament to your skill as a creator that you can draw a definite yet natural line between your own workflow and generated work. Well done!
This is honestly one of the most entertaining Elden Ring videos I've seen yet, as if your usual videos aren't amazing enough! Hopefully you can turn this into a series if it's possible
okay, we need a full series. I already loved your work, but boy have you got a strong formula here. Like, not just bear grills, just do reality TV spoofs for your usual concepts, it's so damn solid. You're genius man, can't wait for your next vid as always.
Some people have skills of a dead sea slug and mind of a rotting corpse of a sloth hence they're unable to "git gud" at DS 2 and blame their lack of abilities on game design
