Honestly, Radahn and Malenia are both cool characters. Radahn genuinely wanted to be next Godfrey, while Malenia fought against debilitating rot that took 3 of her limbs and still became master swordswoman. Only demigod that should get lot more flack than she currently is, is Ranni. Her name literally means thief in old Norse and she betrays everyone and everything in the game. I'd say it's only time when she betrays the player.
9:37 So, quick tip for the newer players, Royal Revenants take damage from healing incantations. You can do massive damage with 'Heal' using the Two Fingers seal, and it immediately stance breaks. Have fun!
It is not really opinion when both Gideon and Caelid Sword Monument refer their initial fight a "standstill" and "locked in a stalemate." It is fact that neither could defeat another. And that was even before Malenia bloomed.

Alter garments be like "So, you wanna get the same armor with less weight and probably a tiny little bit less defense?" I be like "Maybe?" It then says "Also there's no cape" and i immediately go "wtf no".
If I may add to the Radahn vs Malenia debate. I think most people don't include the fact she was legless, missing an arm, has no eyes, and is constantly dealing with the god of rot on a daily basis. The fact that she lasted so long is still just as amazing as the feats Radahn has and I hope we can accept that regardless of how you want it to go, it was and will forever be a tie. @@unifiedhorizons2663 Not true, while he does hold back stars he doesn't hold up the sky. Also about the stars being tied to fate, I believe it doesn't necessarily mean it has your literal fate but rather it is a way to glimpse your fate and see a path. Kind of like how Tarnished can follow the Guidance of Gold but doesn't necessarily mean they have to always stick to the literal path it provides
@@Nyx_Eosbased on Ranni’s quest, it might actually literally have an impact on fate. The entire reason you have to kill Radahn is so the stars are able to move again and thus Ranni’s fate is no longer stagnant. Likely the outer gods have an influence on the course of future events. What you really have to wonder is why exactly Radahn was so insistent on holding back the stars that it was so ingrained in him he refused to stop even after losing his mind. Did he have a particular fate he wanted to stop? Did he foresee the potential orders of Ranni/Malenia/Miquella and attempt to stop their fates in order to preserve the Golden Order? Or did he peer into the stars and see horrors only whispered about in the highest halls of Raya Lucaria, something that sent Astel calling, something he had to stop arriving at all costs?
she was not holding the rot on her own it was miqulla's golden needle helping her keep the rot at bay meanwhile radahn was holding the entire sky from falling to the ground on his own and with out help, and may I add the fact that it required his strongest commanders to bring him down while he was afflicted with rot AND holding back the stars at the SAME TIME Undoubtedly radahn is the stronger of the two but regardless I think its a tie
@@boliwijskisprzedawcakapucynek Im not so sure she is. I have no concrete proof of this so i can be wrong, but i think she lost her eyes during her fight with Radahn. That would make Tarnished the only foe she had to fight blinded. When you watch TGA 2011 trailer you can see she has bottom tip of her helmet roughly in line with her nose (in my theory so she could see through visor), then in Story Trailer you can see her bleed from her eyes as she blooms. And finally when you meet her as Boss, she has her helmet pulled all the way to her chin. And when Tarnished wears her helmet the tip is again in line with their nose. There are more questions, like her mental state and reasons to fight, that would make her fight at less than full strength, but that might be even more overthinking of me. Still this is FromSoft+GRR Martin game, so who knows.
That one meme about fighting them in their prime would of been more funny if it showed off Maliketh instead of Malenia with Placi and Radahn. After all Malenia isn't just in her prime, we fight her in her prime, buffed by an outer god on top of it. So we dom'd her peak + a god.
trick weapons were nice, there just needed to be more of them. a big part of souls games is finding new weapons and armor, trick weapons felt like 2 discoveries, with the enjoyment of 1. it was like diet fun. twice the discovery, half the fun.
Hard disagree. Who is actually using more than 3 weapons on any given character's playthrough, anyways? I'd much prefer diversity of movesets and unique weapons instead of 20 different straight swords, 10 of which need investment in INT. Also armour has always been for fashion and lore. I seriously can count on one hand how many times I changed an outfit during my entire time in the series for reasons other than style. Havel's Set 4 Kings is my one stand out example. Anyways Bloodborne weapons were more like twice the fun at a quarter of the quantity and I wouldn't have it any other way.
12:50 To me, Elden Ring’s dual-wielding is just discount powerstancing. Powerstancing: You can have a dual-wielding light and strong attack AND you can dual-wield different weapon types (spear+rapier, straight sword+curved sword, spear+halberd, greatsword+halberd, greatsword+ultra-greatsword, etc.). You can also make your character left-handed since the game mirrors both hands. Dual-wielding in Elden Ring: strong attack is replaced with right-hand weapons ash of war, and you can only dual-wield two of the same weapon type except shields and the game doesn’t mirror both hands so shields can only guard in the left hand. What gets me about Elden Ring’s dual-wielding is that DS3 had a paired weapon of two greatshields, yet in Elden Ring you can’t dual-wield shields.

Yeah but they’re talking about them in their prime. Plus Placidusax is far from his prime, he used to have 5 heads and 8 wings, as well as a full tail. He was also Elden Lord before the Erdtree existed. Considering how strong he is at the point we fought him, prime Placidusax would absolutely destroy any Tarnished.
@@wiseguidedmissile again the elden beast neggs every character, it's not even a debate you beat the elden beast you destroy everyone else it's as simple as that, plus maliketh also easely neggs everybody, the highest scaling for anyone pre farum azula is multi star level (radhann) then in farum azula their speed breaks the speed formula and they all have infinite speed, placidusax was good in his prime yes, yet prime godfrey beated him and the elden beast is stronger than prime godfrey cuz it can be scaled to universal, as simple as that the elden beast destroys everybody if you beat that you beat everyone
6:51 there are only 2 times i played a game with pure rage, 1st one was in RDR2, and 2nd one was when i got the Ancient Dragon SpellBook, since i didnt know where corhyn was, i went for my boi Miriel, then the bell bearing hunter appeared, i did fight the bell bearing hunter before, in bernahl house, and i didnt know he moved to the Volcano Manor, so when i killed the Bell Bearing Hunter from his house, i thought he killed the man, so when that mf appeared at church of vows, i thought he killed Miriel, and i was mad, it ended with me beating him hard while laughing like a psicopath :)
Just a reminder since most players dont seem to realize .... certain "hard" opponents are weak against blunt weapons like Clubs ,Hammers Maces and Flails like the miners or Crystal people or that one miner troll you will do more damage *AND* blunt weapons dont bounce off on them

20:30 got damn if that wasn't elden beast i played medic for mimic tear pretty much... now that i think about it that'd be an interesting challenge, you can only deal damage with summons and you can only use healing spells
Look up the RU-vidrs called "bushy" and "LilAggy" Either one of them or both (I forgor) have done this challenge. Titel should be sth like "I made Eldenring into Pokémon" or sth like that. If you're generally interested in challenge runs I can highly recommend them
