@@styxy5939 I don't think it really fits for Dark Souls. I don't really how to explain that, but this feels like it has too much epic passages to be DS; DS typically has more sadness to it.
@@dragskcinnay3184well this is the point in elden ring. Elden ring's journey is driven by hope and epicness, thats something you hear when you first launch the game just with the main theme being a lot more epic than any other souls game main theme
@@_nagazaki__ absolutely, Godskin's theme perfectly fits Elden Ring. I was disagreeing with the guy saying the slowed+reverb version was "quintessential Dark Souls".
I’ve grown to love the godskins. Once you get their moveset down packed they are a pretty fun fight in my opinion. As much as I love the other bosses this might be my favorite ost in the game
The only move I don’t like is when the fat one extends his stomach out of nowhere and sends you flying. I don’t know if there’s a tell for that one but it doesn’t feel like there is
@@totallyofftask no bullshit bro that shit is a damn 50/50 if you can either roll out of that bitch and dodge or you gon get hell sweeped like a mf. I’m not sure if it has a tell either
Instead of the godskin duo, I would’ve loved to have gotten a higher rank member, call them “Godskin Preacher” or something and have this variation play.
I know of some ranks within the Christian church (or later day saints whatever you call it) Godskin Bishop Godskin Cardinal Godskin Pope (plot twist, uriel wasn't the only pope)
@@weevil_1457 I see where you were going with this (it's a cool idea) but the LDS is just another name for the mormon church, which is separate from the christian church; and cardinals and bishops are typically members of the catholic clergy (to make it even more confusing!) Not to nitpick or anything because I'm not a part of any of them, but just to explain the difference, lol.
@@martinbach7333 The first quote is from: Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. The second quote.... I don't remember where is it from. The third quote is from: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords. I just combined them all into a conversation that fits the tone of the music.
3:40 DEUS TESTIMONIUM PERTERRITUS [GODS, IN TERROR, WITNESS] GLACIALIS CUM HORROR [FROZEN IN FEAR] IMPLACABILIS VENATO [THE UNRELENTING HUNT] CUM PELLIS SANCTUS ERO DEI [WITH THE SKIN OF THE GODS, I WILL BE HOLY]
Very cool lyrics, though unfortunately, I'm pretty certain the grammar doesn't make much sense :( (though I haven't really learned Latin so it's possible what I see as mistakes are just bits of grammar I don't know about)
@@zero0creativity which is what makes the godskins so fucked up- their eyes still being golden with grace/frenzy whatever, it means they are still alive..
The original sounds more like a legit duel against the Godskin Apostles. This sounds like a battle fought between those follow the ways of the Godskins VS The Demi Gods
@@theplaguedoctor5863 with the recent dlc rumors I must be completely honest, that I'd want to see more of the Godskins and the Gloam Eyed Queen explored first
The OST is as good as the double apostle fight was bad. Discount ornstein and smough with no dialogue and full of bugs, they really ran out of time for that one.
