Elden Ring HIGH DAMAGE Strength/Faith Build Guide! ONE HIT KILLS! 👉 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1ViiLJe9tfc.html&ab_channel=ColdBwoyy
I love your videos !!! Thanks for all the help!! I noticed that my smithing stones for the balls I turned in are no longer available at the Husk. Any idea what's up with that?
I always recommend people to spec 16 into str for Moonlight int/dex builds because you can use the moonlight greatsword for added variety. You can even use the carian knight shield if you want.
Best part about Moonlight Greatsword is due to how the special is a buff not an attack it works well with a second item I used the Carian shield with a parry skill I do want to do a true INT DEX build one day though with either Moonlight + some other Katana or some Wing of Astael build
I would also recommend getting the shard of Alexander talisman, it hella boosts the weapon art of Moonveil and with the crest talisman, I think it's a nice combo. Also, I'd say get the lantern item instead of wasting a spell slot on starlight, it attaches to your hip so you don't have to hold it like a torch.
Finished this exact build now 70hrs in my first playthrough. Level 130 and he's been a beast since like level 70. Soon as you max out moonveil +10 and have some good int it's OP. Combined that with rock throw staggering bosses it's not even fair tbh.
Does rock sling have some sort of endgame upgrade? Like carian greatsword has adula’s, and pebble has comet, and so forth. Idk if there’s a similar rock spell that outclasses it
@@BlueFHS no. But with the meteor staff and high INT it does High damage the whole game. The stun is the best part tho. I could kill dragons and other bosses easy because it just stuns them so fast so I can run in for a riposte/crit
I never leave comments on anything but I wanted to do so because this guide was done in a grandiose fashion. I desperately want to get really good at these type of games. I got ER on release and quickly realized I was in way over my head. I went back to Demon Souls and now grinding and becoming a little better by each death. Thanks for this video and you got a new member for sure. I can’t wait to get good enough to have this build. Epic goals friends. That’s where it’s at. Thanks again!
Love this build!!! It’s the exact thing that I’ve been looking for so I can’t wait to try it. Also, a couple of things I would add: 1. Use night comet instead of regular comet. With enemies that can dodge, they will almost always dodge out the way of comet. However, since night comet is an invisibility spell, enemies don’t see it coming and therefore don’t dodge out the way. On the topic of dodges, my second point is to use the misericord dagger +25 as a secondary weapon with the bloodhounds step aow. The misericord has the highest crit damage in the game, so when a boss or enemy staggers you can get some absurd damage in. The bloodhounds step is used because simply put it might be the best aow in the whole game. Loads of I-frames, huge distance, low cost, it’s great. And then if you don’t want to use that for whatever reason you could instead use glintblade phalanx aow. This pairs super well with the misericord as this aow has absurd stance damage, so you can get a lot of crits in if that’s what you want to focus more on. It also fits the build aesthetic really well.
Another great talisman that could replace radagons icon is the godfrey icon. The godfrey icon enhances not only charged spells but also charged attacks.
Fun fact, leveling your Dex actually increases you cast speed. Anything higher than 70 Dex makes the cast speed talismans useless. The cast speed talisman basically adds a set amount of fake dex that will only affect cast speed. If I was you I'd decrease the vig or int and juice Dex more to open up a talisman slot. Maybe rock a pearl drake or dragon crest.
At lv 125 and 150 you can only really hard cap 1 attribute. Other option is doing a spread which is what he is doing. It’s early impossible to do high 3 skills at 125 and 150.
Great guide! Thank you! Rare to find one so well done on Elden Ring. I went and got the Mooneil. I had just gotten a lot of intel, so this is a spot on guide. One thing you might note if you do another that uses the dagger, the Wakizashi dagger does quickstep without needing an ash of war, and only takes 3 fp. Again, Thank You for this great guide!
Hey! I think there might be a mistake where you mentioned the great shield talisman was located. Where you noted it (under the spirit caller snails) I believe is actually the Viridian Amber Talisman +2. The great shield talisman actually appears to be found via a route from the haligtree drainage channel in a chest with surrounded by those centipede dudes. Hope this helps anyone else looking for it!
something to think about is the greatblade phalanx over the carian phalax. It does less flat dmg but has the highest poise dmg of any sorcery in the game and will stagger almost everything allowing you get a free empowered moonveil attack or set you up to cast one of your longer cast time spells without being interupted. If you combine it with gavel of haima you can basically stun lock anything and do massive damage.
That character wearing the ronin outfit is Yura whom you can find early in the game in limgrave. But becomes shabribri when you find him up in the mountains. If you follow Shabribri’s questline it unlocks one of the endings (trying not to spoil much)
I literally have the same exact build except I use the Nagakiba with the bloodhound step instead of the dagger. This build has carried me thru the game with almost no worries. On my first play through and have been trying to get 100 percent completion so haven’t tackled the Elden beast yet. I’m at level 158, this build is amazing. Started from a prisoner and this build came naturally through my game progression. 10/10
Little late to the Party, but thanks for the guide. I played a pure dexterity build up to level 100 and got a little bored on it and wanted to try to mix in some magic, found your guide, went ahead and got the moonveil, respeced and voila… a hell of a lot more fun to be had!
The Carian Filigreed Talisman is available almost immediately from the outset of the game. You do need to talk to Blaidd first and defeat Bloodhound Knight Darriwil first, but then you can just go around Stormveil to Liurnia and get it from Iji (just have to exhaust all his dialogue options, and may take a single save/quit function as well - seems to be hit and miss when I've done it). But it's obtainable before any other battles other than the above if desired. Personally, I also like the Crimson Dagger Talisman as it restores FP on critical strikes, which you'll be doing a LOT of with a build like this. Stagger with the Moonlight Ash, crit, repeat. Not sure how the "best" combination looks though, as I don't know if combining the two FP talismans is worth the reduced effects of some of the others.
The main build type that caught my eye with the katana and spells, been following a build for early game (am lvl 50) and this is going to help heaps for clear further progress, thanks!
I actually re specd into a build like this just because I got bored of the claymore and shield combo, sometimes I run with a staff and sometimes with another katana
Indeed shard of Alexander boost skill damage would be more efficient if you one shot mobs instead of two shot with moonveil as for the wondrous pot I usually use magic damage boost with unlimited fp since I pop it before a boss only paired with "bfl"(big fucking laser lul) also maybe use waifu dark moon spell for an extra 30%magic damage along frost build up
I'm running those, shard of alexander, magic scorpion, dragoncrest, graven mass. The spells i have are similar but adjusted a bit to make up for the late game enemies who dont stay still. glintstone cometshard, icecrage, rannis dark moon, rock sling ( for physical damage) , stars of ruin, and azurs comet. armor is snow witch hat for the bonus cold sorcery, snow witch robes for the drip and then fire prelate gauntlets and boots.
I think its safe to remember, just in case, that you need 60 INT to use that Rennala staff, so when you're adding the hability points, keep that in mind. Mogh has been giving me a lot of trouble, so I'll try this build on him to see what happens. Thanks
@@abhinav4095 I just beat him, a few minutes ago using swarm of flies and the Rivers of blood Katana. My suggestion right now would be to go somewhere else first, this boss is way to strong to beat at that level. If you're a melee fighter, best is to git gut, level a powerful weapon to at least +20 and learn all of his moves. Also, if you dont have the tear that lowers the effects of his Nihil move, go and get it
Transient moonlight the moonveil's weapon art scales off int alone so stacking the dex is not necessary, pump mind and int with those extra levels. Use the ritual sword talisman, magic scorpion charm, Carian filigreed crest, & ecmcentually alexanders shard talisman. Also you can wear rogiers spellblade armour, it's paper but it boosts magical weapon arts. Get yourself the darkmoon greatsword for sword variety. I'm loving my build rn, I'm about to do melania and only have 45 health you can wear better armour when it becomes necessaryn I switch to hoslow when fighting dragons and such. The build is a blast compared to my str/faith build i did first time around. This video points you in the right direction but he wasted a ton of lvls. I deal more damage at those rot knights far as I can tell and I'm camping 160 for the endgame atm.
@@warriorredeemed215 Haven't played that profile for a bit, but It was 80+ for sure. Probs 80 on the dot and I think I may have used the physick to boost it when i needed a bit more. Scaling has less returns after 80, but I wouldn't go under that. You're playing as a glass cannon with this build, so the goal is to get as much damage off quick as you can, while dodge rolling as much as you can. Out DPS them lol Astel was honestly a cake walk with it which was pretty fun.
1:54 Actually, I wouldn't recommend doing his quest. If you complete it, you will get locked on one of the alternate endings and the only way reverse this is extremely tedious. Just do his quest up to the point you find a big red door and then kill him.
Been referring back to this as I grow my char stats. Thank you for this build video in particular, I am loving this game. Truly loving, and build guides like yours are an incredibly big reason why. Thank you!
I like that one mage wanderer armor ..from the sorc in the hub area. Each piece of the set increases glint stone sorc..glintstone comet does so much damage
Note: You just need to see Blaiid at the start of his quest and help him kill bloodhound dude at the Evergoal, then he recommends you talk to Iji to buy Talisman
Got a sub from me homie. Just beat the game at lvl 190. So torn what to run my second play through since I beat the game as dex/arc duel katana user. Rocked the Ronin hat too haha. This is a no brainer now! Thanks man 🤙🏽
If you ever go higher lv and got point to spare the prince of death staff got the highest spell scaling thing is...it's scale of fai/int with both at 80 you get 430 spell scaling but only useful if you get past lv 250 also if you want a ridiculous dagger use misericord with glinstone pebble ash of war that stupid thing got a short spell range but can open for critical hit with two cast if the skill haven't killed em first perfect for shield mob or anything else for that matter plus low fp cost
Playing mostly the same but using different talismans such as magic Scorpion charm, green turtle and shard of alexander. Also using a frost uchigatana in offhand for frost buildup. Build has it all. Magic dmg, bleed and frost.
not sure if anybody already mentioned this but there’s a crystal tear called magic shrouding cracked tear that increases magic damage for 3 minutes total. coupled with the cerulean hidden tear it absolutely slaps big enemies
Been watching ur vids since i started an Int focused character. Level 51 currently. I tried moonveil, but clayman’s harpoon with ice spear has been serving me nicely. Appreciate the content and tips either way 👍🏾
After this video, now I'm finally decided! I'm gonna become an Ice Samurai Wizard Blood and shit hehehe. Thanks so much my dude, I'm consulting this now and then to get my gosl.
I only got elden ring about 2 months ago. Finished my first playthrough with a Faith/Strength build. On my second playthrough and saw this video. On lvl 204 and this build smacks the shit out off anything. I have encountered an enemy yet that is resistant to my attacks.
Excellent video and that hat looks brilliant. Reminds me of the old film Big Trouble in Little China (showing my age!). What is a good staff to get early game while working toward this build?
Have you tried the mimic ultimate clone? With the mask that makes enemies target you? Simply equip that mask and cast mimic and take off the mask, it makes all enemies and boss fights easier.
If you want to be a complete samurai build with almost no weakness then you need to spec more into intelligence and arcane! Main hand Moonveil then off hand Rivers of Blood. There will be situations where moonveil will do crap damage on certain enemies but the rivers of blood will do insane damage and vice versa. And in PvP it is super dangerous because they never know what katana you'll pull out and both able to end the fight in seconds lol. Right now Rivers is too OP which will likely be nerfed soon. But overall int/arcane is too good with no weakness . It has the range with spells and incantations, it has the bleed, it has the melee close range, it has the the quickness and speed. And with the right hands it's just broken lol like many other builds in this game.
I wanted to do this build because I have plus 10 moonviel plus 10 rivers of blood and a plus 10 carian regal scepter bug the problem is you need to pump up dexterity and it's kinda hard to do that while you have high arcane intelligence vigor mind and endurance you'd have be really leveled up to do it right.
@@klaycormac Instead of off-handing another special katana like Rivers of Blood, what I do is offhand Nagakiba (you could also use standard Uchigatana if you don't want to put the points in Str, but I like Nagakiba for its extra reach), set to Cold with the Glintblade Phalanx Ash of War you get off of Rodgier's Rapier. The Ash version of Phalanx is way better than the sorcery version used in this video, and it uses less FP, and you get the benefit of being able to dual wield katanas while Moonveil remains the centerpiece of the build. The way it works is you switch to two-handing Naga in order to cast its Phalanx Ash, then immediately switch back to dual wielding, which lets you use Transient Moonlight. A direct hit with all 4 Phalanx blades and an R2 Transient Moonlight will instantly stagger virtually anything except the endgame bosses. Once you stagger them, instead of taking the critical hit, just go in and start slashing away with both katanas. With Moonveil + Cold Naga you are hitting with both bleed AND frost. Just watch as massive chunks of damage come flying off, it's very satisfying. And I still use a staff too, all the spell recommendations in this video are good, but I just only use it for ranged stuff like clearing out groups of trash mobs before you rush in with the katanas. The big difference is I just don't bother with the Dagger/Bloodhound Step thing he's doing, it is very cool and fun but it's just a bit too extra for my build. Not really necessary. I also focus way more on Int than Dex, nearly all these weapons scale better off Int. I'd focus on getting Int to 60 before even worrying about Dex much.
Just when I thought I was content with my current build😂. A tip for anyone that’s not 150+ you can leave dex lower than your other core stats since all your spells and moonveil skill damage will scale from int. dex isn’t as important as int and vigor
@@shoeman12384 I wouldn’t go passed 80 int. If you’re relatively low to mid level 80-150 I would maybe get 60 int and then make sure you level your vigor and mind to where you want them before taking int any farther
@@shoeman12384 yea your spells and transient moonlight will scale a lot harder with int. So dex should be leveled after your other stats start hitting caps where leveling them doesn’t do much
I right hand an Uchigatana 25 Cold with Bloodhound Step , left hand Lusat and alternate with Moonveil 10+. Godfrey, Graven Mass, Sword Talisman and Magic Scorpion Charm. Black Knight Tiche 10+ summon. Ranni Hat. Dark Moon, Adula, Loretta, Comet, Rykard Rancor and Magma Shot, Meteorite of Astel fo the occasional boss. The obvious Flask of Physick. This works for every area, every boss, every enemy and every situation.
Even if you do the questline you dont get the armor. The questline ends with you getting the twinblade. Shabiri always takes over Yura's body and appears in the Mountaintops. Doing his quest will not get you the armor.
@@MonkeyNeuronActivation you dont have to do frenzied flame. Shabiri will appear at Mountaintops to tell you to seek the flame, just kill him. If you do the frenzied flame then you will just see the loot on the ground by the grace.
Yeah i ended up with this build too. I played around with almost every build. This build is the most fun and powerful one. It's a good idea to upgrade another katana and dual wield when you stagger enemies. Crit damage is low. Dual wield katana cuts enemies like a butter pretty quick. You can also play like a mage and your spells can be cast faster due to high dex. The fun and variety is nice however it's not very reliable and strong compared to moonveil. Upgrade moonveil, another katana with magic infusion, staff and a shield. Sword of night and flame also another fun build. Blasphemous blade build is op but not as fun. High poise starscourge str build is also fun and very strong. High damage and aoe possibility. Demolishing build. Shield + thrusting weapon builds are op but no fun. Rivers of blood build overrated. You shit your pants against immune enemies and the poise+stagger qualities aren't good. It's fun and the range is good though. Colossal weapon + jump attack build is also strong.
I have pretty much the same build, same Armor, but my guy is an Old Wizard Gandalf type with grey hair and Rogier's Spellblade Hat, Warrior Gauntlets, and Carian Knight Greaves. I use Moonveil, Wing of Astel, and Darkmoon Greatsword, Carian Regal Sceptor, and Carian Knight Shield. If I put one the Starscourge Heirloom Talisman and Godricks Great Rune, I can use Royal Greatsword. Can't remember the talismans off the top of my head but I do know Graven Mass Talisman and Radagon's Icon is used.
I'm doing basically this build now and it's been very doable in ng. I struggled with malekith. I found it hard to stagger him with transient moonlight because it's hard to get one in without getting hit. Gideon was kind of hard too. On a str build I bodied him with heavy attacks, but transient moonlight takes a few to stagger him and he starts zoning with comet immediately.
I would swap, RADAGONS ICON ---> SHARD OF ALEXANDER ANCESTRAL SPIRIT'S HORN ---> BLUE DANCER CHARM (Due to low equip load) CARIAN FILIGREED CREST ---> ASSASSIN'S CERULEAN DAGGER Moonveil tends to stagger a lot, therefore Cerulean dagger for FP regen is better
I think you should change the radagons icon and ancerstral horn talismans since they both have a really weak effect so it would be better having somthing eles
my friend dropped me an ice dagger with the bloodhound step ability, i though it was pretty cool! he also gave me cheap weapon with that lorretta ash of war attack which he never told me i could take off and put on another weapon! been feeling op for a while but now getting into areas i need to research to have a chance
am almost lvl 400 and in ng +7 (130h), but i still find this video rly helpful, i just can't stop absuing rivers of blood, until they get nerfd... soon i guess. U earn a sub my dude.
I love you. Jk-this video is awesome. Lvl 120, I have moonvile and was unsure about a few things until I watched this! So thank you for such a great video! 🍻
Always enjoy a Dex/ Int build on Souls games! Moonveil I fell in love with as soon as I got it haha! I kind of want to respec into a dual magic/ Int katana build but not quite sure how to go about it haha! Earned a sub my man
Hey, i know this Video is rather old, but ill still comment. First of all, thanks for the vid, its very comfortable listening to you. My question is whether this Build is still up to date? I heard the moonveil was nerfed, is this still as powerful as ist used to be?
thank you so much for ACTUALLY showing stats recommended for lvl 50-70. Im at 58 right now on my first run int/dex samurai build and am doing pretty good. Vigor 22 Mind 16 END 19 STR 19 DEX 20 INT 23 Faith 10 Arcane 8 RH Blood Uchigatana+7 and Moonveil, LH Carian Shield, Meteorite staff, and Uchigatana+2 so far. just concerned for handling my stats while waiting to find a better rune farm than the Impassible Greatsbridge. I’m in love with Blood loss and haven’t touched my Arcane yet. But I want to cater to Rivers of Blood AND Moonveil but more focus on INT than Arcane. Anyone suggestions on when to raise END and Mind and how much Arcane to shoot for?Probably will respec to take off faith and STR points
Thank you, I am going to try this build. I actually wanted to use a second katana with Carian Phallanx ashes in my off hand, but the only way to do so is to duplicate the ashes from Rogier's rapier which somehow I missed to obtain. So I was looking for an alternative.
