To be fair the bosses are all dumb in the intelligence department, if they were actually real versions they would know how to dodge and evade as well as just use their most powerful attacks which would flatten him
This is what Rykard is built to do. He literally designed himself from the ground up to be a big scary monster that can eat other big scary monsters. He's rather less effective against beings capable of dodging.
If Rykard wasn’t so obsessed with getting continually stronger and actually used the strength he’s already accumulated by this point he probably would have been able to succeed in his goal
@@isaidarkmoon6434 not really in the lore the reason each demi god does not attack each other is because they are to scared so the land stayed in a calm state
@@isaidarkmoon6434 Depends on who he decided to fight. If he attacks Raya Lucaria, I'd imagine he'd struggle quite a bit against the range advantage. If he went after Caelid or the Haligtree, he'd rot away like anyone else. I'm not sure he'd even by able to traverse the mountaintops of giants, and the Fire Giant is very durable. Even if he went after the Erdtree, he'd either have to fight his way through Leyndell, or get past Gideon, Godfrey, and Radagon before facing the Elden Beast, and he'd have to do this alone, since he would kill Volcano Manor first. Even without the knock-on effects of the Shattering restarting, he'd be facing a hell of a lot of opposition, and I don't think he has the staying power. If we do consider what the other demigods would do, it looks even more grim, since none of them want to be eaten.
@@goddoda412 that’s the thing though. He didn’t because he was scared, not because he lacked power. If you fight Rykard without the gimmick spear, he’s insanely durable. And that’s what the rest of the world would be dealing with since they don’t have access to it. Rykard has eaten countless tarnished that were at or around our strength level. I’m not saying it would be easy for him either, but you can’t deny that he has the potential to kill gods either.
It has something to do with invisibility mod. I turned invisibility on to prevent my character being targeted. With invisibility on, Elden beast and Astel kind has some aiming issue until being hit (lava dmg doesn't count), and Rykard would stay idle until being hit first.
If rykard devours a god, I imagine that he would assimilate the powers of said god but also, would he change form? that is to say, its appearance would suffer alterations for each devoured god? I think so.
If Rykard devoured Astel, he'd probably grow wings and gain some gravitational powers - if Rykard devoured the Elden Beast he would become a god and devour the world, and devouring the elden beast would give him the powers of the elden ring.
Astel and elden beast when I fight them: *3 miles away, teleports another 4 miles away, and just range spams till I close the gap* Astel and elden beast when fighting rykard: Let's just stand in the lava next to the God eating serpent lol
9:31 it's just so funny seeing the serpent head slowly turns to face the Elden Beast, but his whole being then suddenly whips around when struck by Astel. It's almost like he got slapped so hard that the force spun him around... 😆
This shows how meteorite of astel needs some work on the aim. Maybe make the meteorites have a smaller range sideways or give them a better track in exchange for some damage.
I like the ideia of not showing HP bar or HUD at all. That way it's a surprise when one of them loses. I think getting closer to the battle is cool too, because it gives the impression of two titans fighting.
Notice how the end game boss can't beat a optional boss which goes to show you we the players do more dmg than the bosses and that by default we take more damage 😂 So we're stronger than the endgame boss if you think about it. And of course they'd win a 2v1 they couldn't win without teaming.
The dmg is the same, bosses have different resistances sure but we can also manipulate our resistance. We don't take more damage we just don't have nearly as much health.
Elden Beast would have been such a cool bossfight if it was more like Rykard where you have to use a special weapon and this video made me realise that.
@@vanjaarsic1616 I don't think people would prefer a gimic boss for the last fight of the series. all of the other games built up to this magnum opus, and if it was a gimic boss, most would hate it. i think moonlight is the only weapon that would make sense since it was in so many of their games, and double damage isn't too strong, but strong enough on a weapon that already does high damage, that people would usually choose it if they keep losing. and it incentives them to look for the moonlight if they hadn't.
It makes more sense doing 2 on 1 because Rykard literally has a second life that makes him pretty much always going to be a 1 on 1 boss. I also find it interesting how much damage you can see attacks do, like Astel tail does so much damage and the asteroid barrage - if Astel and Elden Beast just did their heavy attacks pretty much all the time they would flatten both lives of Rykard. It also can see how important the AI to dodge or evade is because in a real fight they would be smart as a player and dodge attacks. It does look visually epic and kinda cool seeing the lore at play, but the bosses are really stupid compared to how they would be and that magma pool really makes it hard to fight Rykard without range with the continuous damage that staggers and the dumb AI for the bosses just keep wandering into the lava and doesnt evade.
Then what, get out of his protected territory where he was well fed, and get hunted down by morgott with leyndell, and maybe even lansseax when he is forced to traverse altus plateau to go anywhere ? Nah.
It really takes TWO Universal entities to kill a God devouring Serpent! Meaning the tarnished scales to 2 universal entities...not to mention him killing those same 2 universal entities
ngl, astel's attacks remind me of 4 bosses Amygdala Ebrietas Living Failures Rom, the Vacuous Spider whereas elden beast reminds me of Ludwig, the Holy Blade Soul of Cinder & Galeem (Dont ask why)
Opinion rejected - Reason - Malekith% Malenia moment and oh load Mohg cometh (% based damage, Scarlet rot and mmm yes I heard you like two healthbars. and Oh boy a Rivers of blood player.)
This seems very buggy... Too buggy for it to be accurate. Rykard keeps taking hits to his body, but only when his head is hit, does he take any real damage. Astel also seems to miss quite a bit considering Rykard doesn't try to dodge-- I question where the AI is aiming.
