Perfect timing!! Just finished watching Part 1

Only just watched episode one and this one as well, obviously was playing the DLC. But Jack asked after the Dancing Lion whether or not Miquella is dead. The general consensus (before DLC, haven't finished yet) is that "yes*". The '*' being because they appear to be similar to Ranni. He has his soul, but his body is dead (presumably). I personally believe that the defilement of his body from Mohg's tainted blood is what allowed him to "grow older" while in the cocoon (we may find out for sure in the DLC though). It's still pretty unknown however what the true intentions are behind this idea that he also abandoned his fate and the relation to "death" with him. Still playing the DLC, so can't wait to see what they do in actuality

Marika sent Messmer(and by proxy Rellana) to the Realm of Shadow so she didn't have to worry about his curse, and there are theories that the Realm of Shadow was once visible in the lands between. What if Marika sealed the Realm of Shadow with the suppressing pillar; the first part of her process to unbind destined death and give it to maliketh. Would make sense that the pillar suppresses the dead

The ambient music that Jack kept calling Disney music, more sounded like the ambient music from Oddworld: Munches Oddysee and parts of Oddworld: Strangers Wrath in some sections. I'm sure that music was probably heavily inspired by a movie or movie company to some degree as all music is inspired by something in some way. But that's what it reminded me off.

Other than being completely lost about 99% of my time in the dlc, the other 1% was spent asking myself "how on earth do I get to that part of the map!?"

Jack, not only does that music sound like one of the intro scenes from certain movies, but it also sounds like the beginning of the spider man song from I believe spiderman 2 with Tobby Maguire. Specifically the spiderman song that the lady across the Theater of Mary Janes recital did. They played her song again later in the movie which is the one im talking abt. srry for the long winded message

haven't seen all of it but fromsoft updated the inventory where you can toggle on a recent discoveries tab in settings. should make looking at new items a lot easier

Today I looked up the Old English meaning of Scadu, and it's just shadow (also basically pronounced shadow). Also, Hope Sean learns about the new inventory features soon!

That is the build I am going for right now, with Rellana’s Twinblade. The movements are so smooth and I love its special attack. Cast flames everywhere and have my moonlight great sword at the same time? Yes, please!

17:30 "It's really making me paranoid and second guessing myself that I haven't found more things" This is my biggest issue with the DLC, and with Elden Ring as a whole to a lesser extent. The open world has always been my least favorite part, as cool as it is and as well as they pulled it off. The DLC so far has just amplified that for me. I absolutely LOVE the art direction and the layout of the Land of Shadow, actually exploring the open world has been so much more satisfying than in the base game. But I feel like I rarely found anything while doing so. I spent all my time on Torrent, figuring out where I was able to go and how to access all the vertically spaced areas. But along the way there was practically nothing to do, and it made the experience feel a little more hollow at the end. "I've gotten to this place I've been searching for for 30 minutes! ... now what?" If the DLC were 70% its total horizontal size, but kept all the same layouts and locations, as a trivial example, I think it would have been better off for it; there's just so much more dead time while exploring that's so much more obvious at end-game levels.

I always thought the music in the finger area sounded like the start to the Sam Raimi Spiderman theme song.

one thing i love about this dlc is that its brand new, Jack has no idea what to expect. There is no character builds he can compare with, no guides on what to do, no idea what enemies awaits ahead. He is diving completely into the unknown. Like a newborn baby arriving to the world.

Jackaboy u gotta use the crafting system. Ik u don't rlly care for it but u can craft and use a lot of rlly good stuff. U could also use a bow builf if u want and you'll see how important the system is cos you can craft some REALLY op arrows and bolts.
