Just to clarify, the story was not written by GRRM, he created the backstory of the characters and the history of the world but had no hand in the actual story of the game. Essentially he just created the world and let the developers create a story based in that world
@@KSharp2Actually no. Miyazaki’s interview answer is rather professional in nature but basically indicates George had the same amount of involvement. It isn’t any more based on his work and perhaps slightly less.

the 7 souls game are so amazing, all really like them all and cant stop playing one or another, if you really like the style of the game, you shall play them all
There are ways to make the game easier for a beginner, if you look up some guides first. The most simple example would be to play with magic (so you have range) and use summons to draw the ennemies' attention away from you. As opposed to that, playing fully melee without summons would be the harder way to go. There are also lots of different build in between. You can also farm xp and the open world and grind level ups before fighting a particular ennemy, which will sometimes make it way easier. Anyways I would say this game is definately worth a try even for someone totally new to these types of game. Probably the most beginner-friendly of the whole series of "Souls" games.
Elden Ring isn't as intensive on your hands as a fighting game is. Not really combos, just timing and learning boss moves. It's a lot tougher on your heart lol - Loved the trailer reaction!
