ELDEN RING: Still Holding Up? (*VIDEO OUTDATED*) 

I'll never fully enjoy "open world" games. While Elden ring is a great game, the open world aspect like in most games is pointless. I always prefer purposely designed gaming enviroments. The open world is fun for the first 10 hrs or so but after that you just realise that its all a ruse and you just want to get to the designed parts of the game for more gameplay. Maybe one day they will pull it off and make a true open world game with meaning and depth and a true reason a player would want to remain and exist in the open world. Instead of just rushing through it to get to the good parts.

You can def dodge Margit's 3 hit combo with two rolls, at mid equip load, if you roll away from it (even at close range). Also Malenia's WFD move can be avoided at close range by running away and jumping as she touches the ground, you can also use vow of the indomitable, block and poke with shields (negating most of the life steal) during the first flurry, which is the hardest one to avoid, or roll away with light roll. Outside of this there were some subjective points i disagree with, like Mohg's bloodflame lasting to long on the ground (i actually find the timing to be perfect, forcing me to consider the direction of my dodges throughout the fight), or Maliketh's pillar moves making the fight worse (the one where he stabs the sword on the ground has a pretty good punish window, after the AOE). But yes, i do agree ER bosses are, for the most part, fantastic, and my favourites would have to be Mohg, Morgott, Maliketh and Radahn (fighting him solo).
