Our current low end PC laptop with integrated graphics, is an Asus ZenBook Q408ug laptop powered by the Ryzen 5 5500u APU with Vega 7 graphics (similar to Intel Iris Xe). Today we’ll be testing if it can meet the minimum requirements of Elden Ring. I'll also showing you what settings I use to try and make it playable.

I just order hp14s ryzen 5 5500u laptop yesterday and I'm happy to see it can run games on low settings pretty well. I sold my gaming PC because I wanted a thin n light laptop for auto cad and engineering purposes etc and some gaming here and there. Thanks for the video

I5 4590 @3.4ghz, 16gb Ram, RX560 4GB, EVO 860 SSD. Currently playing at 1600 x 1280 and it runs pretty stable. Only had 1 crash and nothing like the issues I was expecting.

cpu: amd ryzen 5 1600 (6core 3.2ghz) gpu: nvidia gtx 1060 6gb ram: 16gb do not run with chrome open, I have to play in fullscreened mode otherwise the screen will black out when moving too quickly or turning camera too quickly. Likely a CPU issue, gpu is within minimum specs & the game actually defaulted to medium quality graphics when I turned it on. I'm getting 60fps mostly, the worst part is the random blackout strips but hasn't happened once I went to fullscreen mode on the lowest resolution (800x600)

@@JoTheTechie I'm not entirely positive what the problem is, the black strips were happening inconsistently. my cpu is 2 generations older than the one you're using in the video (effective speed about 17-20% lower). it's weird though because I was getting decent fps, just occasionally while running i would black out for half a second, it went away the lower I put resolution settings though

@@sixunity1171 It is, certainly, it's ancient. A combination of overclocking & undervolting has resulted in a noticeable improvement in FPS/ enemy visibility.

My old Asus Tuf laptop from 2019 can run the GAME at 1080p 30-40 fps with medium settings max textures. Specs: CPU: i7 8750h 6cores 12 threads (temps stays at 79-85c). GPU: GTX1050ti 4gb (I undervolted it down to 1774mhz to maintain temps from reaching 80s). RAM: 32gb ddr4 2666mhz of ram.

CPU: Intel i7 3770 RAM: 16gb ddr3 1666mhz GPU: GTX 1070 Storage: 500gb SSD Settings: 1080p High settings 45-60fps Kinda sad to see it was just using a single cpu core out of the 4. I tried playing this game on an i9 7980xe with an rtx 2080 ti and got nowhere near the performance gain I was expecting bc of the cpu bottleneck.

The game does seem to heavily favour core 2 on my 2500k. It's always at 90-100% usage whereas the other cores are around 60-80%

Hey my laptop is pretty ancient but im curious as to its ability to run elden ring. I have same but 8 gb ram. In low settings I get 30+ fps normally. In open world fps drops to 20-30. Changing 1080p raise fps 3-5.

@@robs_at_it9579 Dude I found something. Open your desktop > Right click > Nvidia Control Panel > Adjust image settings with preview > tick 3. and change it to full performance. It's done. I'm getting 55-60 fps on med-high graphics with this. It worked for me. gtx 1650 max q, 8gb ram, i5 9300h

I tried elden ring on a temp setup of mx330 but my cpu is i7-1065G7 and 16GB ram, the game automatically adjusted specs to 720p high, the look didnt bother me overall still looked kinda neat and the fps was smooth for about 70% of my gameplay but the stutters were much more frequent than those with a proper setup and the game crashed a little over an hour of gameplay. Hopefully this helped in some way

Definitely. Your gpu might hold you back but cpu and ram are more than ample. I have a gtx 970 gpu I can flog you if you are interested.

It won't overheat your laptop. Only thing that will overheat your laptop is overclocking or a bad cooling system. Single Channel is going to be a big disadvantage.

No your laptop will fry like cooking in eggs and overheat, that thermal built in is not mean for gaming Plus lagging alot even if your lowest graphics but your get a 15fps.

that best for low end game indie or old game from ps3 ps2 gamecube sample, it will not able to handle elden ring.

No your gonna fry up your laptop, the thermal built in it will roast your computer up overheat even if you lower your grpahics super down although you can playable 24fps, so best to use a gaming fan to cool your laptop if your planning to download it. It may carry the I7 but is gpu is iris graphics card which isnt gonna help it although your play fine just slight lag.

Yes you can but you must lower your graphics super low and resolution by 720p for to get a smooth 30fps.

Yes but your need a cooling pad for that elden ring tend to heat up your laptop more is why ps5 should be better.

You should be able to get 45-55 Fps. I'd do what I have done and up the resolution to 1600 x 1280 on mid and just tweak the textures to get the performance balance vs quality. I'm on an i5 4590 and it looks better than I expected and runs well.

Well with normal in game settings it most likely will be worse than the device shown here but for most games there are changes you can do just outside the ingame settings , i would still not recommend it for playing elden ring though considering they make the game look alot worse , there are games that can give a better experience with that hardware
