This episode we get started on Castle Redmane. The boss in this area gets us the ruins Greatsword which we need for the all legendary armaments trophy, additionally we apick up the red hot whetstone and a nice Ash of War as well. If you had already triggered the festival make sure you follow the steps to reset the castle after Radahn so that you can get the trophy weapon.

@@davidkim573 they are most likely hidden so they release at set times on set days so he has a couple of days worth of uploads for us to use giving him time to work on the next set of videos, its basically like this; he could release every video he has now and we burn through them and have nothing else until he is done making the next set, or he releases them at a steady rate which buys him time to make more. I'm not sure if youtube has any sort of bonus for doing daily releases like that but either way i think logically it makes more sense to release them 2 or 3 episodes a day and have enough videos to buy him the time he needs than to just drop everything he has all at once

Can Castle Redmane EVER be done if you trigger the festival too early? Or is it always empty? ( I finished a dungeon about 10 episodes ago, walked out the back of the dungeon, saw a cliff and down at the bottom was a grace. Hopped down the cliff, touched the grace, and like 10 seconds later, I hit play on your video just in time to hear you say "don't touch any graces down here, you'll activate the festival" )

Honestly without you I wouldn’t of ever touched this game again. I tried a year ago, got to Margot’s palace, couldn’t beat him, didn’t know what to do, got overwhelmed and quit. I literally did not understand the game at all, what it wanted me to do, or what it was even about. Your guide has helped me become a souls fanatic. I’m now addicted and am trying to beat every game in the franchise. I’m also following your dark souls guide. I know you say new players should try and experience this all on their own, but tbh I’ve tried and simply don’t know what I’m doing. Therefore I can’t enjoy the game. I am now level 145 (with the help of the bird farm) and 48 in dark souls. Thank you for helping me find my foot in this amazing franchise. I know you’ll probably never see my comment, but I’m still thankful

I know I'm late to the game. The video is over a month ago. But this game is just speechless. And your walk-through, SPEECHLESS. I have never felt such an accomplishment, or excitement when getting loot like this before. I'm 50, so I've played a lot of games. Starting with Atari. Your walk-throughs are amazing. This game was supposed to be a pacifier till God of War Ragnarok came out. I'm 188 hours in, ( 100 probably farming ruins L0L ) and16% completion. I'm not stopping till it's complete.

Same here. "Old" gamer who started with Atari and Gemini consoles. I'm now extremely picking with video games. 98% (including Breath of the Wild, yes sacrilege!) of them bore me. This game, Bloodborne and DS are part of the very few games I enjoy.

@@Dee-EllI only recently came to PS5 from PC & bloodborne is still exclusive to Sony. Is it still worth playing? Have you played Sekiro? That’s also another great From Soft game, but much more focused on melee combat & parrying

@@hazmatproduction4562 I highly recommend Bloodborne. It's a masterpiece. The atmosphere and feel, the combat system, the monsters, the level design, the story and unique setting are amazing. Everything is top-notch. One of my favorite games of all time. So memorable. Now that you can get the game at a discounted price (or even free), it's a no-brainer. Sekiro is excellent too. But a bit less variety in terms of weapons and monsters. Feels a bit less polished, like a game made by Team B while Team A worked on Elden Ring. But IMO, Sekiro much better than Ghost of Tsushima.

Crucible knights have to be my most hated enemy up until this point. Very little openings and when there is one, chances are I have to heal instead.

I second that recommendation for Engvall. My current playthrough is pure caster and Engvall has been my partner through every fight since I got him. He's great! I got him to +10 and he always gets and holds that aggro so I can load up my cheesy spell kills.

Lemme tell you, I am playing Elden Ring now, and this guide is still so usefull. Eventhough Horfrost was nerfed, it still was pretty good at frostbiting bosses and clearing mass groups of enemies. So yeah, thanks cowboy

That two-boss fight at Redmane was kicking my butt. Half the time I could not even kill the first boss at all, let alone the Crucible Knight. The 1st boss kept ignoring my Headless summons and went straight for me without me doing anything. The next day, I tried again and before I knew it I had defeated both of them. They had to have changed something in the game. Then I went on through the transporter to the main boss and, again, had killed him before I even realized it. I was waiting for a 2nd phase to start when I realized it was all over. Like Cowboy says in the next video, they must have nerfed him.

The Jellyfish summon is actually a great distraction for this fight. Mine lasted the entire time and did its job well 😄

@@mac1bc The jellyfish summons is a really great tank in general, I find. I like to bring her out against dragons, just to draw their aggro. Her poison whittles down their health while I slash them in the legs and wings while riding Torrent.

I know I am late to the party lol.I have had the hardest time with Crucible Knights, but I found they are weak to Fire (and Lightning), so I use Bloodflame Blade, Throw Redmane Fire pots and use a great shield to block blows. Its amazing how much Fire Pots take from their health!

For those having issues with the final boss in this level, both the Misbegotten Warrior and Crucible Knight are weak to fire. Flame of the Redmaynes with a Fire or Flame Art aspect Miséricorde will melt them both, especially with Flame Art if you're a Faith build

The early edit was perfect. When I saw my teleport was NOT active I was thrilled because I did speak to Ranni previously. Minor spoiler, I did enter her service and complete Rogier's SQ. What I did not do was speak to Blaidd at Siofra River or grab the 2nd half of the medallion. I got lucky. Very lucky. Thank you very much for the 'Shield tips' and 'Wpn tips'.

I've been unlucky by exploring Liurnia on my own and, well, using the lift to Altus. When I heard you telling us that this triggers Radahn, I was like "fubar". But I followed you (better used the walkthrough when ever I got stuck or thought I've finished the area). Long story short, I've had way more problems (and tries, therefore deaths) with thus Death Bird than with Radahn. I needed only two tries, because I am stupid ;). Cowboy, thank you for your great introduction and walkthrough so far.

Couldn't beat the Misbegotten and Crucible Knight with a +13 Night Rider Glaive with Giant Hunt, however, I was able to beat them both in 1 try with my Bloodhound's Fang +6. Now I just need that Sombering 7. Thanks for this awesome content.

26:05 what you said about parry frames: For both carian retaliation and golden parry (no matter what shield if small or medium) they have both the same parry timing and it is actually better than the buckler timing. I think buckler starts the parry at 8 frames after activation and has 11 frames of parry window but carian retaliation and golden parry on a medium shield aswell start at 8 frames and have like.. 13 frames? so if you like medium shields with a parry go for carian retaliation or golden parry ^^

The 2 field beasts can be easily brought down with arrows shot from the gallows platform, even normal arrows...you can lower them to half hp and then fight them together or one by one if you don't want to spend too many arrows.

What the hell I have 3 field beasts and they shred me to pieces (melee build) . Not only do I have one extra beast in my game, but also I cannot get some weapons that i see in these videos. Crazy..

For mage types in the double boss fight, there is a platform next to the wall on the left of the courtyard. If you stand in middle with your back against the wall, you can spam glintblade and receive very little damage. Definitely summon a tanky spirit. I used Oleg.

Seconding Engvall as a faith/casting build! I alternate between him and the Demi-Humans depending on what type of boss/enemy I'm facing, but he's a pretty great summon!

Man I can’t believe cowboy hasn’t touched on the jellyfish shield. This thing is absolutely OP as hell. It’s buff lasts for a long time, and it makes your weapon way more powerful than it even is when you 2 hand it. I personally don’t use the shield to block too often but if you do it also negates 100% physical. The thing is a beast

Ya that with incantation give me str and a plus 10 sword of night and flame at lvl 90 do over 1000 damage a hit one handed

The only issue with it is that the buff only stays active when the shield is out and glowing red. If you one-hand your weapon, you can't then use the Weapon Art on it without putting the shield away and losing the buff. But if you mostly fight one-handed, or don't use the WA a lot, it's an awesome shield.

A famous quote from Cowboy: "Elden Ring is first and foremost a fashion game" so he won't touch certain items if he thinks they look ugly or ridiculous. Personally, I agree that the jellyfish shield is a beast of a shield I heard you can even use it as a mage for uber easy mode....but it looks ludricrous and best or not beast, mage or melee, I refuse to be seen wearing such a thing, even it makes me a God and turns the game into super easy mode!

Man, I was so worried about Radahn because of you mentioning it the whole time. I already triggered it and actually tried it before watching this episode. Killed Radahn in my first attempt 😅 don’t know how it worked, I was at 40 vigor and 40 strength, using the golden halberd at +9 and just did a mix of running in and out with the horse and staying very close to him to get some juicy hits. I had much more trouble with the two bosses of this episode 😁 But thanks so much for all your work. It got me really well prepared! 🙏

For the crucible knight skeletons will allow you to get a little bit of distance and some dmg before he’s back on you, helped me beat him

Yeah, ruins greatsword is a great weapon. I actually finished my first playthrough with it though I used lordsworn's and grafted greatsword before finishing caelid.

Crucible knights are probably my best recurring fight. The Briar Knights are probably my worst... And this playthrough I seem to have gotten really good at fighting rune bears. Not ashamed to admit I skipped every single one on my first playthrough except the very first cave boss in lingrave lol

I never got to use Hoarfrost before the patch, honesty was not using much with ashes of war being those first weeks playing the game (still on my first playthrough). I've found hoarfrost having now used it still isn't that bad, being bale to frost enemies and do extra damage is nice.

Was struggling with Crucible and just waiting for parry opportunities I was comfortable with. Then I realized I could just unsheathe 3x to stance break and it was easy.

After playing all the FromSoft games and souls-like games after Elden Ring first came out and literally beat me into the ground so much I had to look for cheeses almost every boss, I came back to Elden ring after I followed many of cowboys walkthroughs. This Misbegotten Warrior and Crucible knight was one of the hardest i remember. To the point I had to do that behind the barrel cheese thing from Tyrannicon’s channel. Well this time I fought them straight up, and following cowboys walkthrough you are certainly powerful enough to make light work of them. I could believe how fast I was able to take them down and those two lion things before you get to the boss. All because of learning from watching videos like cowboy’s walkthroughs. This entire walkthrough i just go to the area he mentions in his video and do it before watching. Then I watch to see what I missed after everything is cleared. Makes it more fun than knowing for sure what is coming since I played this two years ago lol.. So thanks brother! You made this game so much more fun!! I really can’t believe it!

The first half of the fight was to make u feel bad ass, the second half was eldin ring saying yeah right. Took me 2 tries, knights armor doesn't like lightning

That bloodfange plus 9 makes fighting those two lions easy thought it was gonna be hard but it does so much dmg!!

@@mac1bc I would've gotten pasted trying to fight without that door. That fight seemed to take away all of the advantages that I normally use. I couldn't find a good spot to get a clear shot at them with arrows in advance, they bounced around too much for me to lightning strike them from the door (which works really great against sirens before they lift off) and it was really hard to even hit them from the door without trading hits.

Shout out to the faith gang, if you have the Halo Scythe from Caelid, you can easily clean sweep the last boss in castle redmane. I’ve got mine at +6 and my winged scythe is also +6 but the halo scythe when coupled with holy shrouding crack tear physick just melts them if you spam it. I used skeletons they are +7

Ngl I reaally struggled on the crucible Knight. The first would go down so easily as he staggers with each hut, but the knights a tough one. Wish I'd have known to try the parry!

Long Spear + great shield is op as far as melee fighter, in such cases like lions, bears, etc

Instead of the turtle shield theres a "Magic Eclipse Crest heater Shield" on south Limgrave island, got it in a body hanging on a clif , havent seen anyone mention it, been using it since start and it has 100 physical. "stone platform attached to the cliffside southwest of the Tombsward Catacombs Site of Grace" from wiki.

Hoarfrost needed the nerf. I used it only two days before it got nerfed but it destroyed bosses in seconds like the duo, radahn and many others. It didn't make any sense.

Awesome! Ruins greatsword is my new weapon of choice!! I missed my Yhorms machete from ds3 throughout the game untill now. This sword looks like Yhorms machete on steroids! Btw, this walktrough is a great piece of work in itself.
