I am a care assistant in the UK and it kills me to see vulnerable people be taken advantage of. In my eyes as soon as I signed my job contract my duty was and is to protect and serve those who came before me. These people built or world and they were hard workers and we should treat them with the up most respect just as much as children
This just really breaks my heart. I am a retired Home Health Care Provider and my job was to keep my patients in the safe environment of their own home, praise God !!!
This news really scares me & it should be a concern to everyone. We are All going to be old someday if we live that long, so we have that chance that we will be abused by health care workers especially if we don't have much or any family support. What's really awful too is when a elderly person moves in with their own family or relatives and the family they trusted to love & care for them abuses, uses, or neglects them. Things like this make me feel like there's no good in the human race.😢
I love my mom and dad My mom is old fashioned my dad Dementia it hard watching them get old but I know that they gave me life they never abused me why should I do that to them my family is important to me
This is so true about abuse and cruelty older people. Like in the Nurse home get abuse and cruelty by employees very day. Those employees sure be arrested for life. In the Nurse home or another places. This ever safe in the Nurse home. Sometimes the employees go to your room and abuse you while you are a sleeping or worse. Man or woman get abuse by employees.
What Gets me is many Elderly individuals have contributed some much to our society, yet you have better luck get help and financial support for some wild animal than you do an Elderly person in need. That's what's so messed up about our society.
.. My grand-nephew’s GG-Grandmother, was kidnapped by her Caregiver. The Caregiver took the credit cards, ATM card, withdrawal all of the Grandmother’s money, and drove to a rural area where a shack was. Tied up the old lady & left. The grandmother was found dead a year later in that shack. Her family filed missing persons report not long after the kidnapping. The kidnapper was allegedly from Mexico & probably fled back there. Very tragic 😪
I remember years back I volunteer in a nursing home and there was abuse ..I had to stop cause it upset me too,much ..After I quit I had heard some of the C.N.A nurses were fired ..
Very sad , to know the elderly people are being abused by the people who are taking care of then people put love in your heart the elderly people are like your parents 🙏
Sorry to have to say this but I would love for half an hour in a room with these people who hurt elderly people because at the end of the day that is someone’s mum or dad they are hurting but people like that don’t ever try and hit a young healthy person they pick on elderly people who cannot defend themselves absolutely disgusting
I'm 73 in fairly good shape but that could change at any time. I'm beginning to see and feel how many people are not kind to Seniors that also includes Doctors especially. I'm ready for anyone that abuse me in anyway. Physical abuse what people need to realize is they could become dead longer than a Senior would stay in jail if they are incarcerated. Many Seniors are armed when they go into these So-called Facilities. Baby Boomers are a different generation of Seniors and we are ready to fight for our lives. Society should stop and think about the new generation of Seniors.😡
