I became friendly with a younger woman who lived close by, she had purchased a second hand dog trailer which did not have secure doors. Another dog trailer was for sale in Bendigo for $3500. I lent her the funds to purchase the trailer.She now informs me that she purchased the trailer with her own funds and does not owe me anything. Not only am I $3500 out of pocket , but feel the loss of trust and betrayal of friendship. So I too have been taken advantage of , everyone beware.
I believe that anytime a person does this seniors should report it to adult protective services. Especially when it's someone who is abusive to that senior person.
I know a black guy robing my elder neighbor as we speak and all APS does the come by and gave her a stack of check lists what to do. Like if she know what to do all that wouldn’t she did already?
My dear friend is being financially abused by her granddaughter. However, she lives alone and is afraid the govt will move her to a nursing home if they get involved, and I totally understand why she would think that way, & I respect her wishes. So I'm not going to report it, but I feel so awful about it!
