Thank you so much for sharing this valuable piece of history. There are people who have been all along lying to us trying to make it seem like they were the ones who actually drove the liberation struggle yet it was a collective action. If we are to fully understand how the struggle was carried out, it will take more people like Rugare Gumbo telling it from their own perspective like this. Let's hope the few that are still alive will open up one day and share their own narratives.

All I said is lets, here or read more of such narratives from the people that were involved. Very true. The interviewer had other agenda instead of getting the truth. I tell you .Va Gumbo could have given more information if the interviewer allowed him space to talk more.He needed more time to reflect on past memorries.

The crux of the matter is that is that it was the Karanga mafia that contrived &connived to assassinate the brilliant Zanu Chairman Herbert ,Wiltshire,Hamandishe,Tapfumaneyi, Pfumaindini Chitepo on 18 March 1975 in Lusaka ,Zambia!.This all documented &tabulated in black &white in the Maenza Chona Commission of enquiry into Chitepo's assassination that was set up by President KK.Those found guilty of Chitepo's death were Tongogara,Rugare Gumbo,Robson Manyika,Mukudzei Mudzi,Henry Hamadziripi,Kumbirai Kangai,Rex Nhongo,Dauramhanzi,Zvinavashe,Joseph Chimurenga,Mpunzarima&Chigowe!.
