My day is not complete until I have checked out Judge Boyd’s purse and flowers and listened to her kind treatment of the accused.🌺

Defendants head sure snapped up when they announced his victims presence. First time I've seen judge Boyd listen to a victim BEFORE sentencing.

which is weird. victim impact statements are _supposed_ to be for the purposes of sentencing. if they were just for getting stuff off their chest, they'd just be given a diary or something.

Commit a crime, go to jail and lose your SS. He won’t need SS while he is hanging out in jail.

The defendants lawyer was terribly rude to this senior citizen. She needs to be treated with a little more respect.

i love that she said she wanted relocate for her safety, and the defense attorney was like, "so you're planning on moving TO HOUSTON, right? where your daughter WORKS IN HOUSTON? she works there, IN HOUSTON? when are you planning to move TO HOUSTON? HOUSTON."

Commit a crime. Commit the same crime. Get free rehab (can't get it free if you don't commit a crime), rehab that has failed in the past, and maybe it works this time, maybe not, but you never have to face actual punishment for the crime of assault with a deadly weapon. Too bad he is more worried about getting his SSI back than the damage his crimes have of the victims. Oh yeah, and thank his lawyer for telling him where the victim will be living. She should be sanctioned for that.

Yeah notice the way his head went down when he said no after the state asked if he had a drinking problem! He's not ready at all to be sober and will only be a danger to society if given deferred adjudication. We will see him again if he is given deferred for violations because he can't quit the alcohol.

Defense atty, thanks for blabbing where she's moving, b-word.

Why was Judge Boyd questioning the victim like she was the defendant?

She always does that. She makes an informed decision

Witness testimony was believable. The defense’s attorney was terribly rude.

The defense attorney asked direct & appropriate questions of the witness - she was not at all rude.

If she is fearing for her life and trying to move away from the situation, then why the hell would the defense attorney disclose where she plan on fleeing to ? I would not want the person that caused me fear to know where I’m possibly moving to
