The look on Toms cute face before he became yours said it all. He’s older, not real healthy, , lonely, afraid, yet is letting you come closer. It took time, and I’m crying for an older kitty that found a good caring home. You took him to the vet and that shows how much you care. I so happy for Tom. I’m so happy for you both!

He is a cool old dude or a “cool cat” which is an old expression for a cool person… You kept telling him you loved him and were smart enough to go at his pace and not yours. my parents took in a silver tabby from some morons - "Kitty-Kat". He's beautiful and loves to play, loves nothing more than to be scritched and petted but he is NOT a lap cat. That's hard on them and me but that's the way KK is.

It was love at first sight. He stole my heart with that sad, forlorn look. Bless the kind souls that foster strays and abandoned animals and rehome them. I am a foster-fail, can't help getting attached to them so they end up under my forever care.

Aw, good for you that you couldn't leave him. He's beautiful & it's impressive that you go to the trouble of keeping him alive to give him the life that he never had. I've rescued a lot of cats over about a 50 year span & l have to say that l never met a cat that wasn't worth rescuing. They're all lovable GOD BLESS YOU!

God Bless you. You are a true hero to not give up on this poor old broken Cat. You are truly an amazing woman. I wish there were more people in the world with the beautiful soul that you have for cats like this one. What a beautiful story. I am crying as I set here with my two adopted cats Charlie 11 and Sophie 9 and a pair of bonded love birds. My animals are so lucky that they never had to go through any of the trauma that this sweet boy and so many others do. Thank God for wonderful people like u in the world. I get it. Patience and love are the keys. Our last feral cat disappeared two weeks ago at age 22. We've scoured our land, the neighbors, but haven't found his body. It's sad that cats go away from us to die but it's a cat thing so... It took me 8 years to let me pet him but I was his favorite, the only one to pet him for 2 years. I miss him but I hope he crossed the bridge quickly and relatively pain free. I'll see him on the other side. Thank you for your patience and amazing progress with TomTom. Elderly animals need care sometimes I think more than younger ones.

Thank you for loving Tom-Tom! I have a cat colony with 3 males (2 very sweet & 1 that likes his space) & 4 females (females have been spayed) but I wish I had the money to get these boy’s neutered. I’ve run out of vet funds. I wish I could find forever home’s for my cat colony babies too.

It is indescribably rewarding to bring a neglected or feral cat indoors, get them to the veterinarian and help them back to a healthy life. I think they seem very grateful. It can take 2 years with progress and plateaus, but so fun to see them adapt to the good life indoors!

I am currently in the same situation. I have a cat who keeps coming back to my house and I keep feeding him. I would say he’s part bobcat, but he looks a lot like Tom here. I named him Georgie He has got the sweetest meow. I’ll continue to take care of them as long as he will let me.❤
