I have just bought this album on CD, the original album without the remastering that is, and it's just fantastic. The second album is winging its way to me as well as I just had to have both these albums on CD. There's just something about this music that connects to my soul. I just hope the guy who created these albums releases more material in the future.

I agree, Elderwind just has that special feeling to it that makes you feel alive. It has passion and emotion. If you're looking for other bands with a similar emotion, check out Alcest, Clouds, Shape of Despair, and my band Escaping Aghartha (which is influenced by Elderwind). Cheers mate.

This album is so amazing. The first time i heard it, i almost needed more black metal elements but on my second listen, the atmospheric elements started to play their spell on me. They are so strong and breathtaking that they invoke so many emotions in me. I am happy for the most part during this album but at times, the music is so moving that it makes me cry. Especially during 'Cold in the Soul' . Its amazing: the interplay between atmospheric music and black metal. 10/10

It's a shame there's not more truly soul-touching atmospheric metal out there, it's so magical. If you're looking for more bands that invoke that same magic, you should check out Lethian Dreams, Shape of Despair, and my own band Escaping Aghartha which does a similar style. Cheers mate.

I am so glad I found this and a few other atmospheric black metal releases. This is truly one of my favourite albums of many years. There's just something about it that speaks to my soul like no other music has done for a long time. I was also lucky enough to track down CD versions of both Elderwind albums and buy them. They sound fanastic through a set of headphones. I sincerely hope that the band/artist releases more albums.

It's excellent, emotion-inducing music. One of the best albums I know of, in terms of synths and chimes, they add so much. If you're looking for other bands with a similar vibe, you should check out Doom:VS, Clouds, Shape of Despair, and my own band Escaping Aghartha, which is influenced by Elderwind. Cheers mate.
