@@benfritsch8468 They were a race in AoW 2: Shadow Magic. Basically they were the original inhabitans of the Shadow Realm before Shadow Demons came in and enslaved them. They look like grey-skinned Elves with big eyes and their "shtick" was utilizing lighting damage.

If this is the last DLC the devs will be dead to me, the game still feels unfinished. It's like some hyperactive kid's drawing of a lot of random cool stuff but there's not enough of any one thing there to flesh anything out all the way. I'm fine with them basically just recycling content from Planetfall I just want tomes that have fleshed out categories so I can role play a rogue or something from start to finish. Can't even get water magic until Tier 4 with DLC and it should have been Tier 1 in the base game.

I love this, but as I didn't get yo finish watching the stream, I need to ask, the Eldritch Sovereigns, are they affected by racial transformations or do they have unique ones like the dragons? I am already impressed with their customizations as is, but still wondering.

The addition of the Eldritch Sovereign leader type is really cool, but its still disappointing that every DLC completely ignore a certain area of customization. Like how Eldritch Realms and Dragon Dawn didn't add a new culture. An "Abyssal" culture for ER and a "Draconian" culture for DD would have been awesome.

I would not be surprised if those cultures were floated and there was enormous overlap with Reaver and Mystic cultures. They are also adding subcultures to better define specific playstyles, so I think we just need some patience.

I'd love more cultures, but making an eldritch culture for eldritch rulers or a dragon culture goes against the idea of matching rulers with different factions.

I can't believe how limited the Tome Selection is for this DLC, I've been really underwhelmed by the new Tome system and was hoping DLC would expand on the elements and bring back the classes from Age of Wonders 3 but it's so haphazard and incomplete it's just disappointing. Everything Tome added feels inadequate, like an incomplete branch. We want whole Thematic paths, and instead you give us 3 per DLC and we can't keep a consistent theme.

That because this DLC is called Eldritch Realms I was really expecting more from it, I thought this would be the big Magic Expansion DLC but instead it's just bringing back Shadow Realm.

I won't buy AoW 5 unless AoW 4 gets tomes to fill in the gaps where things are missing. The way tomes are now feels like there are whole unfinished paths they just abandoned, like cryomancy being paired up with necromancy so you only get two ice tomes and can never really go all out as an ice mage, it's disappointing.

I'd be happier if they'd expand the magic system a bit it still feels unfinished after Age of Wonders 3. Or more like lots of random stuff just haphazardly jumbled together. Still can't role play a rogue like from AoW 3 there are no tomes for it.
